Rams CB’s
After the total lack of effort I witnessed yesterday from Forbes, I hope he never sees the field again as a Ram. Getting beat occasionally is acceptable. Lack of effort and sulking about is NOT acceptable.
It’s easy to beat this clown, muscle him a little and he folds.
We will be fine with this group.
Durant
Williams
McCreary
Witherspoon

Re: Rams CB’s
why is anyone surprised about this? they chose to ignore the position in the offseason. you have a bunch of decent players but that is it. guys get beat that is the nature of the game.
IMO this is top priority along with LT in the draft

Re: Rams CB’s
This should end any notion Rams don’t need a CB1 in draft. Rams have two first round picks and one should be a CB

Re: Rams CB’s
To be fair- he's was just hailed as 1 of the best CBs playing at a high level as of 2 days ago? Now we want him gone asap? He was Revis Island last week...now he's a scrub. Which is it? Shit show yesterday i agree. But our roster is what it is. Witherspoon looked like garbage too. And ni idea on the new guy. Forbes needs to play better. He's capable. I think?

Re: Rams CB’s
Forbes plays dangerously. Against Darnold he was beat deep for a TD and just barely knocked the ball away. This last game he flat out got beat deep twice for TDs but I think that was partly scheme. I bet the coaches told him to sit on the underneath stuff because Bryce Young isn’t good and is unwilling to take shots deep. And give credit to Young he dropped in two perfect throws over the top of the defense on 4th down. If I was DC I’d have told him to play the same way against a QB the caliber of Young. I didn’t think he could make those throws either

We couldn’t stop raving about him all last week, fact is he had a great month prior to yesterday, and now he is a bum after one bad game. Talk about a damn overreaction………….
Some couldn’t wait to get Witherspoon back. Our damn savior. LMFAO……………..
There is a hell of a lot of CB’s in the league then that are “bums”…………….

Re: Rams CB’s
He played poorly yesterday…………
Both TD’s on 4th down were 4th and short. 3 yards or less. Not 4th and long. I trust you know my point of this comment……………

Re: Rams CB’s
Consider: Stafford was MVP chants...tosses 2 picks and fumbles game away; Corum has horrible game prior, then does what he did yesterday. Gotta look at the whole body of work. I am not saying Forbes is a keeper. Was bad to start the year, and bad yesterday. With very good in between. Mix these guys in and see who is worthy. I don't think anyone would say we have a great secondary. Draft will need to grab a couple guys in the D backfield.

Re: Rams CB’s
I never sang any praises on Forbes... He didn't have a good resume coming in and I'm not a fan of his outside of he's wearing the jersey!
However, we'll see if something can be done to avoid more of the same going forward.
I'll be surprised if the opposition doesn't target him the most in all our remaining games.
Hope he's up to it since it looks like we don't have much choice going forward.
Unfortunately some people just don't wanna believe that shit stinks..

Re: Rams CB’s
I understand that yesterday Forbes was embarrassingly bad and that even great players, like Stafford, can have a crappy day. My stream pooped out at the end of the first quarter, so I’ve not reviewed the video yet, but it seems like the defense was not coordinated well at all yesterday. Forbes has issues, but he progressed so much throughout November and seemed to be positioned correctly for his skills. Was he being used differently in yesterday’s shit show? Or did he just stink?

Re: Rams CB’s
Imo Durant on the outside is the best Rams corner.
Spoon when 100, is the Rams 2nd best corner
Im interested in seeing McCreary (who is mainly a slot corner) once healthy.
Forbes is talented but still rough around the edges.
DWill is solid depth but up in age

Re: Rams CB’s
Going back through his career until today, Forbes doesn't play well against big receivers. That's all Carolina has. And none of their names are AJ Brown and they still got him. So its either in his head against these types.. or its his size, or both.. Because against everyone else, including JSN, his talent was/is apparent. To me Forbes has nickel package written all over him. And a ball hawking one I think he can be in that spot. The Rams for sure need to either sign a starting corner or draft one. I felt that way even when Forbes plays well.bigklein wrote: ↑December 1st, 2025, 12:04 pm I understand that yesterday Forbes was embarrassingly bad and that even great players, like Stafford, can have a crappy day. Re: Rams CB’s
It was WORSE than a bad game ...much worse . He was horrible in september / october ( worst in the league by most metrics ) , then very good in november , now the beggining of december he has hit rock bottom again. Does this seem like a cb that you want to be your starter ?

Re: Rams CB’s
I believe Forbes, Spoon, Durant, McCreary, are all Free Agents next year. D Will can be cut with minimal hit. Unless any of them are willing to return for close to the minimal/backup money, I would be fine with letting them all walk.
The cb position needs to be rebuilt with two new press coverage type corners that can play zone and tackle too. Maybe one in the draft and one free agent.
Rams corners are too small, cant tackle and cant consistently cover. They cant handle physical wrs. We seen it against Carolina, Niners and Eagles.

Re: Rams CB’s
you could argue the 1st 3 picks of next year's draft should be used on the defensive backfield.Cornell29 wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2025, 3:03 pm I believe Forbes, Spoon, Durant, McCreary, are all Free Agents next year.
