Rams Cornerbacks

Post by GlendoraRam »

We need to see some of Tre Brown and bring up AJ Green from the PS.
Both guys are known for their physical play. They may get beat, but they won’t get toss around like we saw Williams yesterday.
I can live with getting beat, I can’t stand lack of physical effort.

Was thinking that Ahkello picked a bad week to get hurt in if he had a choice

i thought overall they were fine. Shula should have doubled Brown to take him away as an option. Make Goedart and Smith beat us. Better timed blitzs would have helped. Hurts didnt have a big day theowing. There were some great pass breakups by Lake, Forbes etc.

NOTE to all if the poor STs blocking didnt happen we would not be discussing any of this.

I will say it again this amgame was a complete anomaly outlier. J. Youngblood said when we are 19 pts ahead we are 107-1 definitely an outlier. 2 blocked FGs in one game is almost unheard of.

Lot of us wanted a corner in the draft or FA. They didn’t look at Ramsey. They went arrogant with the depth approach with basically a reclamation project and a bunch of JAGs. They stacked box and took away Barkley but D Williams got torched by AJ Brown. Undersized and slow.

Ramsey too expensive would have eaten up all our $. Now we can analyze what we have and possibly address at trade deadline or keep for next offseason. The draft at 26 is not garbering a sure thing. They were not focusing on a cb rumor was trading up for Ebuka or trading back.

BTW i love having ATLs #1 pick next year.

nobody should be surprised this is an issue right now. we all knew this and the OL were our 2 weakest areas. The front office decided not to address this in the offseason and now we are in this position.

Our CB's are mediocre at best. A lot of their mistakes get overlooked due to the heavy pass rush and QB's rushing to get rid of the ball. Durant looked bad at times, Williams is undersized and Forbes needs another year of added weight and development. IMO CB needs to be high on the priority list next year along with QB and OL.

Spot On NN1!!! Williams was horrible last year and is looking the same this year. Durant looks like another wasted pick and I like Forbes and think he has potential to be special. CB must be high on the list next year and I think we should be looking at some players being dropped by other teams, I believe the Falcons just cut C.J. Henderson, former 9th overall pick 26 years old 6'1" 205. Yes he has been with Jax and Carolina and Falcons but could he be another Forbes type player that teams didn't really give a chance to succeed? can't hurt to bring him in a see what he has.
