Bottom post of the previous page:

When there's no leadership, both on the field and from the coach's. Who's the ST's Captain or don't they do that anymore?
How you don't have coverage or blocking schemes down to some semblance of consistency by game 15 and still be employed is what was most maddening to me. Some have been calling for him to be gone, 10 weeks ago and unfortunately, it turned out just like they said back then....
Rumblings that the new guy should've been ST coach from the start. I hope they're right and it was on scheme and not so much on talent level.

Nothing to do with Seattle's brilliance it was Blackburns stupidity to not tell Evans to punt it out of bounds even if we would net 5-10 yards less if the punt was great causing a fair catch i would rather have zero chance for a run back then an extra 10 yards punt net. You had to know they were going to run it back because of the score.
This reminds me of Mike Macdonald taking credit for the bizarre 2 pt conversion. "He did what we coach - get every loose ball." I call BS Mike. Dude casually picked it up and walked away...because he thought the play was dead, just like everyone else in the country, including YOU, Coach.

I think that they didn’t make this change earlier in the season because Kotwica, in part, lost his Denver job after an ugly blocked field goal against KC. Before that he was with Dan Quinn and lost his job after an ugly onside kick. But he’s known for coverage. Maybe Blackburn was holding him back from helping the team. We’ll see. It can’t get worse, and winning teams need all three phases. Kotwica is also an Iraq War veteran, maybe the only veteran-coach in the NFL.

Ok, so right off the bat and imo, we have just UPGRADED our ST coaching unit.

Kotwica and Harper have a ton more experience than Sean's buddy, Blackburn. Honestly, when you compare there resumes here, there is no real comparison (above, see Harper and Kotwica resumes, then see Blackburns here below... LOL, how in the hell did Chase win this job?.)... The new coaches have been doing this a lot longer and imo, SHOULD right this ship... my goodness, Chase was just a bad hire all the way around. Lame move Sean. No more hiring your pals.

I’m excited about Matthew Harper, who was a strong defensive back in college and also coached defensive backs. He’s assisted with some impressive special teams in Phil and S.F. (I actually remember him at CCSF.) He’s also the son of Willie Harper, longtime NFL linebacker. (He went through a divorce last year, which might have something to do with needing a change of scenery.)
