Bottom post of the previous page:

Looks like the Cards were only interested in winning in the 1st half, and have surrendered. They'll be picking 3rd now since the Titans won.
And who knows maybe the Giants and Jets will try to win a game and ARI picks 1st, again. So grateful pappa wasn't a Card fan!

And any Cards comeback just ended on a controversial interception.

Yep. When Penix got hurt I was afraid Cousins would come in as a savvy veteran and win some games and that's exactly what's happening. Damn him. Hopefully New Orleans knocks off ATL the last game of the year and drops them one slot with the same record. All the 5 and 6 win teams need to keep winning and ATL needs to finish 0-2.

Maybe we need to lower our expectations and think about players we weren't really considering before. Styles or Delane could still be there I suppose, especially if someone takes Simpson.

Falcons strength of schedule by end of season will still be fairly weak.

Falcons finish 6-11 pick will be around 8-9
Finish 7-10 will be around 12
Finish 8-9 will be around 15

Can’t expect trash ass Arizona to win. Tampa screwed us. All in all still a nice trade but a few weeks ago it looked like pick would go top 7.

We are currently at #11 so we need Cincy, Miami, and NO to keep winning. I think we will curb stomp Atlanta then we gotta hope NO beats them the last game of the season. If that happens NO would have the same record but not sure who has lower SOS.

Bengals play Cards and Browns
Dolphins play Bucs and Pats
Saints play Titans and Falcons

And KC and Dallas need to win at least 1 more game so ATL doesn't get higher into the 6-7 win teams.

Hard to imagine KC winning again this year, They got manhandled and embarrassed with 2nd string Minshew in there by the lowly Titans and he got injured so they're down to their emergency QB... Nothing for the team to rally around and they looked like they were just going thru the motions yesterday.
And I don't see SF resting people and letting themselves drop to 7th... but then again. 6th is @ Philly and 7 @ the Bears.
I got a feeling Philly will end up the 2 seed and the Bears 3

I agree with KC what a disaster. Kelce didn't even show up to play yesterday. KC is right behind our pick right now which is crazy. going to be interesting to see who they are going to pick

Sure will. How about a QB? Is it time for them draft and redshirt one or is Mahomes still the long term guy?
We might see KC take it on the chin next year living with as many team friendly contracts as they can and purposely take a step back for a year to re-set, create cap and try to reload for 2027!

Tennessee had the No/1 pick locked for most of the first 12 weeks going 1-11 but have won 2 of their last 3 and now draft 6th...
Can't say they tanked it...

maybe they draft someone in the 3rd or 4th round. Maybe a Nussmeir type of QB. I think KC will focus on a WR or OL with their 1st pick. they had a ton of injuries on the OL and Wr's

Think it will be a tough year for them next year. They've had a lot of good karma the last decade and that shit has a way of levelling off sometimes. Even the Raiders may be better if Mahomes doesn't play

biggest mistake players make is rushing back after a major injury. Mahomes should not play until mid 2026 season IMO which means they need a quality #2 to start the year.

Agreed, at the very least, he's not a young guy anymore... and they need better than a Gardner Minshew type caliber No.2 QB.
I saw you comment on Vikings Starter McCarthy about his fragility.
Former Ram John Wolford is now the Vikes Back-up... IMO the current NFL QB class is as weak as it's ever been.

I am sure Safety Blitz is happy for Wolfy
I guess the Mahomes injury was worse than first reported so that is another reason why they will have to go out and secure a solid backup to start the season next year.
Tua and Murray are going to be highly coveted FA's in the off season IMO....may cost a team some money but a team like KC will have to go out and get someone that is validated.

Given that the QB class is weak this year and Stafford is playing at an exceptionally high level (highest of his career), I think QB is off the table in 2026. So what I’d do is probably trade the Falcons pick for a 1st in 2027 (and obviously something else). I think ideally you want to keep hoarding 1st rounders until you absolute have to use them on a QB you want.

So I’d be fine trading it.
