Playoffs (latest outlook)
Whelp, 3 teams from the NFCW have officially made it to the post season.
Lions at 8% chance of making it… wonder if they keep Dan Campbell… prob so. It’s the Lions, they won’t change much I assume.
Panthers / Packers in the hunt…
While 5 NFC teams have locked up a playoff spot,
ONLY the Broncos have locked up a playoff spot for the AFC spot.
Texan I think are the scariest team in AFC. Watch out
Don’t count out the Colts yet. They are literally playing for a playoff spot tomorrow ngt. Goodness I hope they wipe the floor w that garbage team to the North. Screw the Niners

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
NFL has to change the way they do playoffs. It should be just record. the fact we have to go to Carolina, not 100%, is total BS. hopefully they change this

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
Totally agree. We’re way ahead of them in wins, yet we travel there. Not a fan of this either man
Panthers 8-7
Ram 11-4
Makes no sense really

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
So what did you say last year during the playoffs, when the 14-3 'wild card' Vikings had to take on the 10-7 NFC West champion Rams at SoFi Stadium?
To me, a divisional title means something, as it does to the NFL as well...
RAM SEASON!!

I think they should do away with divisions. playoffs should mean the best teams in the conference

So from that bracket, in a Perfect world, the Rams, 9ers. Bears. win the WC round.
Divisional Round - Rams @ Bears, 9ers @ Hags...Rams, 9ers Win
Conference Final - 9ers @ Rams! Rams Win. No SB home game for SF.
SB Rams win! In a Perfect world...

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
I don't particularly care who we play and I don't have a specific desire to face or avoid any team, just win baby!
Line em up and play. I'd confidently guess that a good % of the NFL world still thinks the Rams are the team to beat, even as a WC.
Too much Doom and Gloom IMO in Ram Nation over a 1 point OT loss on the road to a 12-3 team.
We're all clamoring for another shot at the Hags. Think the Hags are looking forward to us just as much?
They'll talk all the right smack and play the part, but I'd bet they'd rather not have to.
Lets Go You Rams!

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
Path to 1 seed:
Rams win out, SF, Sea and Chic drop a game. SF and Chicago play next week and SF and Sea week 18.
But solid chance Chicago and Seattle week 18 are playing teams playing for pride (Detroit) or resting staters (SF).
Path to 2 seed:
Bears win out (beat SF), Sea loses a game, Rams win out
Path to 5 seed:
We win out, SF or Sea wins NFCW. We go 1-1 and beat AZ, Sea beats SF and win NFC West. We go 1-1 and beat AZ, Sea or SF drop 2 games.
Atlanta pick based on their strength of schedule:
They go 6-11: pick will be 8-9
They go 7-10: pick will be around 12
They go 8-9: pick will be around 15

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
If Niners win tonight, Rams drop to 6th spot on seeding.
Which just like last season, we’ll be heading to Phly. Snow game potential
Gosh damn it. So sick of this crap.

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
2 weeks to go bro.. nothings etched in stone yet... lots can still happen.
All we can do is take care of OUR business and see where we land. Bring on them Dirty Birds.
Another thing I noticed, multiple injuries to playmakers and key positions every week now.
Fingers crossed...

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
Yes. But Rams win out they won’t finish lower than 5. The loser of Sea/SF would finish 6. It’s conceivable a 13-4 team finishes 6 (that would be Seattle). Rams could even go 1-1 and finish 5 if SF rests guys week 18 after losing 1 of next 2 (SF would out of division race).

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
I think the Panthers beat the Hags. They clinch their Division with 1 more win and as we saw again yesterday, they are a tougher out @ home.
So they be pumped too... Just take care of our business and we'll get the division is how I see it playing out. The Hags will beat SF game 17 if the 9ers don't lose before. My prediction. Rams 1st, Hags 2nd, 9ers 3rd, Cards Embarrassment!

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
Honestly, shit looks pretty bleak. If Carolina (who isn’t very good IMO) doesn’t upset Seattle, we’re basically not moving up. We’re relying on SF winning a totally meaningless week 18 game for them (locked into WC) or SF wins next 2 games and we’re eliminated from the NFCw anyway.
Carolina loss hurts as much as Thursday.

Carolina only clinches division if they win and Tampa loses. Otherwise, the south will come down to week 18.Rampager66 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 9:40 am I think the Panthers beat the Hags. They clinch their Division with 1 more win and as we saw again yesterday, they are a tougher out @ home.

Oh Ok, you're right bro, I forgot they play in TB to end the season and that will probably decide it. My bad! The point was the Panthers got lots to play for too and will come hard and take them hags down...SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 9:45 amCarolina only clinches division if they win and Tampa loses. Path to 5 seed:
We go 2-0, Sea or SF win division
We go 1-1 and beat AZ, Sea loses twice
We go 1-1 and beat AZ, SF loses to Sea
We go 1-1 and SF loses twice
Path to 6 seed:
SF wins out, Seattle beats Carolina, we go 1-1

Re: Playoffs (latest outlook)
Point Spreads for this week:
Seattle -7 at Carolina
Rams are -8 at Atlanta
49ers -3 vs Bears
So if all the favored teams win, Rams are locked into at best the 5. I don’t think McVay would rest his guys vs ArIzona because there’s a big difference between going on the road at Carolina (or Tampa) vs at Philly. So I think 5 is what it would be.
Then Seattle at 49ers. That’s really a toss up. I trust Purdy way more than Darnold though so I’ll give the 49ers the edge.
I think the most likely path is then:
WC: Rams at Carolina/Tampa
Div: Rams at SF/Sea
Champ: Rams at Philly/Chicago
So then it’s just about picking the best matchups:
Tampa would be much easier than Carolina.
SF would be easier than Seattle tho SF is clicking.
I think Rams would blow out the Bears in Chicago. This Bears team doesn’t impress me at all. The Eagles in Philly would be the hardest.
Easiest path IMO:
Rams at Tampa
Rams at SF
Rams at Chicago
Hardest path:
Rams at Carolina
Rams at Seattle
Rams at Philly
Assuming no upsets in the playoffs
Seattle -7 at Carolina
Rams are -8 at Atlanta
49ers -3 vs Bears
