Can’t win 3 road playoff games if they stay as a wild-card. If there’s a year where a WC team can make it all the way it’s this year.
Be honest who do you fear in the NFC?
Seahawks? I bet the RAMS are licking their chops at another opportunity to face those guys. Rams win.
49ers? Still banged up. No pass rush. And their taylormade for our 13-personnel offense to dominate
Bears? Packers? Nope. Those teams won’t be able to keep up in pints with the Rams. Stanford can throw and dominate in cold weather (see Eagles game last year)
Eagles? They lose the first playoff game while ever they wind up playing.
Tampa Bay - please…
I think you’ll have a very pissed off RAMS team with a very pissed off HC moving forward - did you see McVays press conference after the game yesterday. I’ve never seen him visibly pissed like that before.
Bottom line is the RAMS choked that game last night and made thing much harder than they should be but honestly if this game means the team is more edgy and frankly nastier then I think it pays off in the long run.
Even watching last nights game again I couldn’t believe they lost because they dominated Seattle and went up and down the field a top 5 defense with no Davante Adams.

No excuse for the loss. It was bad. I’m just saying that as I looked at the NFC landscape I realized that there isn’t any team out there the Rams wouldn’t be favored to win in the playoffs against.
And I also forgot to mention Stanford. He’d be the best quarterback of the QB’s in the NFC playoffs.
Tell me if I’m wrong here but no one beats the RAMS in the playoffs unless they beat themselves.

Re: I’m not buying the idea that the RAMS…
Did you not watch the game yesterday. Everybody's worried that that shit will happen in a win or go home playoff... What transpired after HT last night has happened a few times now. The Offense has covered for the D and ST's a few times this year but those 2 have screwed the pooch at least 6 games this year. They couldn't cover for the Offense when Staff and KW had their bad games like Seattle's D and ST's did for their Offense yesterday that turned it over 3 times. They absolutely stuffed the Rams O in the 4th Q, 4 punts and a missed FG...
It isn't going to just go away and we don't see management/coaching making any changes except the PK and LS. Now the PLACE kicking is better on ST's but the other flaws remain un addressed. Why Blackburn is still here is mind boggling.
I get what you're saying about not fearing anyone anywhere and I'm of the same mind there, but 37 points was not enough and that's troubling!

None of the teams in NFL scare me. There is no really dominant team that the rams can’t beat home or away. Rams also in 2021 were a 4 seed and got the title game at home. Damn near almost happened again last year had we beat Philly. As a 5th seed they will beat whatever trash comes out of the nfc south. Then we’ll see.

1.5 pt spread, c'mon... okay so they "technically" worried favored, keep in mind that game was without Adams. They missed that guy terribly in the redzone. Name me another playoff team the Rams might play on the road that will be favored over them?? If they play the Seahawks again I see a much more aggressive McVay. I guess we will have to see.Rampager66 wrote: ↑December 19th, 2025, 3:37 pmThey weren't favored yesterday and they won't be if they have to visit again!eas-rams wrote: ↑December 19th, 2025, 3:28 pm No excuse for the loss. I'd love to see the Seahawks again, maybe the 2nd playoff game. #1 defense against the pass the Stafford carved them up. ST's won't be great for the remaining year but just be average, elimate returns for TD's and the RAMS win soundly.

'Stanford' is pretty good at railroad construction as well, it's been rumored.
Unfortunately, the Rams have become rather proficient at beating themselves, haven't they? What do you think they can possibly do in a January playoff contest at Seattle, Philadelphia, Green Bay or Chicago?

The Hags were also w/o their Best O-Lineman LT Cross. According to statistic's they missed their guy more then we missed Adams. Their O did little until fhe Rams D went Soft in the 4th Q. We had actually been in prevent on their drive that ended with Kobie's Pick on our 1., and the Hags moved it pretty easily to inside our 10 til that INT. They got most of their Stats and points in the 4th quarter against that Soft Zone BS.eas-rams wrote: ↑December 19th, 2025, 5:09 pm1.5 pt spread, c'mon... okay so they "technically" worried favored, keep in mind that game was without Adams. Re: I’m not buying the idea that the RAMS…
Some of their metrics are actually better on the road than at home .. so I'd normally give them a chance .. but the bottom line right now is their D is struggling and offense or no, the D needs to be better. Any given day, with a poorly functioning D, some of those playoff teams are capable of outscoring us .. as we just saw last night. We gave up 24 points in roughly 10 minutes. Yes, one of those scores was on the ST, but that's still 17 points the D couldn't prevent, in a game, that much like the Philly game, we appeared to be in absolute control of entering the 4th QTReas-rams wrote: ↑December 19th, 2025, 2:59 pm Can’t win 3 road playoff games if they stay as a wild-card. Nor is there any NFC contender which the Rams can't collapse and lose to, home (49ers) or away (Eagles, Panthers, Seahawks), is there?SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑December 19th, 2025, 3:52 pm

Against contending teams on the road, our team is 3-3, that's counting the mediocre Ravens as contenders because they play in the weak AFC North and a victory over the Jaguars at a neutral site (London) as technically a 'road' win.
Since the Good Guys have defeated only one NFC contending team (49ers) on the road this year, I'm unclear where all of this confidence in the Rams as postseason 'road warriors' in the conference is coming from.
Looking back on the 2021 team, it performed clutch in the playoffs, winning down-to-the-wire games in the divisional round (at Buccaneers), conference championship (vs. 49ers) and Super Bowl LVI (vs. Bengals). However, this year the Good Guys have generally been the opposite of clutch in critical contests, haven't they...??

Re: I’m not buying the idea that the RAMS…
Just common sense it will be harder to win on the road due to weather and we have to travel to an opponent. It doesn't mean we won't win those games, but I do fear the weather more than the travel. Both teams play in the same conditions, but I think more odd shit can happen in rain, snow or extreme cold.
Do I fear any of these opponents no honestly I feel overall we are the best team in football and that is not a homer pov it's honest. We beat Seattle 10 out of 10 times with the same circumstances with 7+ minutes to go so that was a Murphys law game, a fluke, an aberration game and you all have seen the crazy nfl once in a lifetime stats about it. But all the teams minus Carolina (if they get in they TB twice and Seattle once) who i don't fear, the rest are very solid teams. If we get Devante, Dotson, Q back by the time the playoff start and we don't suffer any other injuries we will be favored in most games by Vegas. Q and Devante seem like they will be back.
I do believe we have more of a chance to get to the SB by eliminating a game, the travel and weather conditions if at home at Sofi which should be obvious.

Re: I’m not buying the idea that the RAMS…
That's exactly my point, it's not ideal BUT I don't see that Rams being the underdog no matter who they play. And I see a pretty salty HC and team right now, the fact McVay fired Blackburn (finally) tells you where his mindset is. I'm telling you that McVay will motivate these guys to play for the opportunity to take on Seattle again, I think that's the movtivation.ocram23 wrote: ↑December 20th, 2025, 4:58 pmthey want to be at home let's be honest. cold weather on the road is not ideal but they can win either way.malibu wrote: ↑December 20th, 2025, 10:37 am Just common sense it will be harder to win on the road due to weather and we have to travel to an opponent. Wait is this a history bomb? Think of the Seattle game as operation Barbarosa. The Nazi overwhelm the Russians until the 4th quarter. Over extended, meat grinder called Stalingrad, and something called a t34. The Nazi burn up their best troops and suffer under the Russian winters. Slowly the Nazis are overwhelmed. Their so-called allies, special teams collapse, and the race is on to Berlin. You're pushing my analogy way beyond its usefulness, I was simply referring to the weather factor in cold climates, because should the #5-seeded Rams reach the NFC's divisional round in the postseason, they would almost certainly end up playing in a cold-weather location, most likely Seattle (where they just lost), however possibly Philadelphia (where they lost in last year's playoffs), Chicago or Green Bay.
My reference to 'Stanford' was to the nineteenth-century railroad magnate Leland Stanford, whom the university is named after...

Wait a second, did you mention weather? Think of the Rams game as the grand army invasion of Russia under Napoleon. After a complete blood bath at the battle of Boridono Napoleon takes Moscow. But after stalling, Rams 4th quarter Napoleon decides to evacuate Moscow late in the fall. The grand army is caught in the dead of winter in Russia and is decimated. Very few make it to the border if France.Commish wrote: ↑December 20th, 2025, 9:25 pmLOL!!Jacksnow wrote: ↑December 20th, 2025, 8:48 pm

Re: I’m not buying the idea that the RAMS…
I wouldn’t want to play Seattle again. Score were 38-37 and 21-19 with the Rams having a +6 turnover margin. If Seattle plays a clean game, at home with their crowd it’d be a very tough game.
I think what you should be rooting for if you are a Rams fan (assuming Rams don’t get #1 seed), is for SF to win the division. That would mean a Seattle/Rams playoff game would be in LA. And Rams can certainly win in SF.
IMO the two toughest games would be at Seattle and at Philly. GB without Parsons or the Bears in Chicago don’t concern me

Re: I’m not buying the idea that the RAMS…
If the Rams and Seahawks were to both end up as 'wild card' playoff teams, the chances of them meeting in the postseason would be negligible since all of their playoff matchups would be on the road; they would each have to win two away playoff games, at least one under negative weather conditions, in order to meet in the NFC championship game.
Only twice in their history, in 1979 and '89, have the Good Guys won two road contests during a particular postseason. Those versions of our team may not have been as purely talented as this year's version, however they were tougher and grittier, able to battle their way to victory in hard-fought, low-scoring defensive showdowns.
The 2025 Rams are capable of losing a game in which their offense scores 37 points, that's hardly a strong playoff performer...
RAM SEASON!!
