But the O recovered and did drive with 2 minutes left for a 48 yard FG for the lead and ST missed and then they went 80 yards for a TD on the Opening OT drive for the lead back again and the D didn't and couldn't close it out, again!

Yeah you're right about the 3 drives using little clock because of dropped pass incompletions and a couple bad throws. Should have been running it, but it wasn't the Offense that allowed then to make a comeback bro.. it was ST;s and the Defense, they gave up the plays that gave up the points... never mind the 3 TD's that ST's coverage and the D got manhandled and embarrassed on, come on bro, 0 for 3 on stopping 2 point try's? How's that on the Offense.. With the score tied @ 30 and we needed something from the Offense and they drove it 51 yards and lined up for a 48 yard FG in the last 2 minutes... and ST's missed the FG! Then the O drove 80 yards for a TD in OT to go ahead by 7 again. ST's kicked it thru the EZ and gave them the 35 again and the Defense never came close to stopping them from scoring and getting their 3rd 2 pt try in 14 minutes of gametime..
The Offense absolutely did come thru when we needed them most, ST's and the D's crappy performance with it on the line out did them!

I sensed NorCal was really stressing his concerns about the Defenses play lately and going forward in his weekly post game thread. AFAIC, he's absolutely correct. They have looked horrible 3 of the last 4 games and imo got fat statistically early in the season against bad O's - Titans, Saints and teams with key people out, SF, Ravens, Texans....Even including their decent showing against the Cards in the 45-17 blow out win, they have surrendered 120 points the last 4 games... that's a concern when you consider most of the good D's usually are in and go deep into the playoffs and the 30 and 40 point games we've been enjoying become rarer. That's when you need to play defense....
Like Nor-Cal, I remain skeptical on Shula and his unit remains my biggest concern.

I like all of us were super pissed off about the game specifically because we choked it away, but imo that score was a game that wouldn't happen 9 out of 10 times just a weird anomaly similar to Chi GB game last night not as much of an anomaly as the Rams game but a successful onsides kick and a snap fumble on 4th and 1. These game even out.

But truthfully I feel we are the best team in the NFL there is no team I fear and especially in the NFC. Our goal at a minimum is to win out get the 5 seed or get lucky and get the 1 seed. The 5 seed we play TB or Carolina both very winnable games. Most likely we face Seattle next assume seeds 6 and 7 lose and we beat the shit out of them then the Philly revenge game which will be a big test.

Our goal over the next two weeks is we need to get more healthy with Devante, Q and Dotson returning for the playoffs and we will be fine.
