Bottom post of the previous page:
That's certainly an option too but if there is good value at a skill position like WR, edge, CB I'd have to consider it. Don't rule out TE either. Higbee has gotten old and injury prone and Davis Allen is going into a contract year. McVay has a new love of TE's.

dude we are not drafting a TE that high....McVay loves TE's yet doesn't use them like most coaches IMO.....Rams are either trading out of the pick or going with BPA. Let's just hope BPA doesn't mean a WR. More pressing needs then a WR IMO49RH8R wrote: ↑December 11th, 2025, 9:20 amThat's certainly an option too but if there is good value at a skill position like WR, edge, CB I'd have to consider it. Why not, Rams will not be able to resign everyone so have to think ahead.. Having said that, other than Sadiq, no one makes sense in round 1.ocram23 wrote: ↑December 12th, 2025, 10:28 amdude we are not drafting a TE that high....McVay loves TE's yet doesn't use them like most coaches IMO.....Rams are either trading out of the pick or going with BPA. IMO it would be a wasteful pick due to the fact they don't use the TE like other teams. they have more pressing needs then the TE

Re: Maybe the Rams should draft two CBs in Round 1
I think that's a good idea for the CBs and the OL. One draft; one FA.
I'm not sure how many stud FAs there are at CB. AI says: "As of late 2025, predicting the absolute best 2026 free-agent cornerbacks is tough, but early lists point to breakout young talents like Ifeatu Melifonwu, Benjamin St-Juste, and developing players like Riq Woolen, Alontae Taylor, and Jaylen Watson."
They have spent money on O-lineman before. AI says: "The best free-agent offensive tackles in 2026 will likely include rising stars like Rashawn Slater (Chargers) and Zach Tom (Packers), alongside established names such as Kolton Miller (Raiders) and Bernhard Raimann (Colts)."

Re: Maybe the Rams should draft two CBs in Round 1
To both of you guys, I was referring to our pick at 32 but more so in the 2nd or 3rd round. There is not a Bowers/Loveland/Warren in this draft. Sadiq wouldn't shock me at 32 if he's still there, especially if we go defense with Atlanta's pick. The Falcons will probably win another game so I'm thinking Downs will be gone and maybe the top 2 corners. It's a deep class of WR's and OLB/edge rushers so don't rule that out. We might pick at the point where an OT is good value which would make oc happy. A trade down is always a possibility especially if we drop to 13-14.

Best Player Available if what you target isn't there...

What about if that means a redshirt 1st year? For example a tackle that might not start year 1?Rampager66 wrote: ↑December 12th, 2025, 4:19 pm Best Player Available if what you target isn't there...

If that's the BPA and there's nothing worthy of spending a 1st rounder on to fulfil our needs that pick.Cornell29 wrote: ↑December 13th, 2025, 5:43 amWhat about if that means a redshirt 1st year? You'd prefer to reach even further stringently sticking to drafting from needs?

IMO ATL's pick, if we keep it, has to be an impact player. you can't keep redshirting these guys

Re: Maybe the Rams should draft two CBs in Round 1
Sure we can. It just means we have good players. Some positions need redshirting. 1st rounders are a little less likely to be “redshirted” but we have not had many of those in the past.

Amen-I think even McVay would start both today. Not sure we can make it through the playoffs and Superbowl with these CBs and no Quentin Lake.
