Why is Tutu still on IR?
Forgive me if this has been asked and answered in a previous post. The press reports state Tutu has not been activated due to no roster sport not injury? Is this cover for a more severe injury? Or do the Rams not want to bring him up because someone else will have to go to PS? Also if he is not activated will he not be able to be activated for the rest of the season sooner or later?

I was wondering the same thing because they said he’s been fully practicing the past 2 weeks. What’s going on?

Re: Why is Tutu still on IR?
It’s obviously a McVay thing and not a Tutu thing. I hope he’s not asked directly about it. Then we will hear a heap of BS that no one can make sense of. Roster construction for game day, etc. blah blah blah…

They need to just let this kid go so he can play on another team and use his skill set.

Re: Why is Tutu still on IR?
TuTu job been taken by Smith. Smith has speed, he plays special teams and cheaper to keep next year.
Mumpfield backs up Adams, and Whittington backs up Puka
Smith doesn't really need a backup, bc his position in the offense doesn't get alot of snaps especially with Mcvay changing to more 13 personnel.
Mcvay isn't going to play you bc you make more, as proven last year with Jonah Jackson. Mcvay will just admit the costly mistake and move on from TuTu next year.
TuTu might not get reactivated this year unless there is a injury to a wr

McVay sometimes lives continuity for continutity. Rams WR room outside DA and PN is nothing special. DA isn’t young. Prob another year but drafting a legit WR should be in the cards.

Out of nowhere. Most of guys are JAGs. Also spent seconds on van jefferson and atwell. Puka incredible value obv.

What have we seen him do/not do that warrants not using him? In fact, when we need a clutch play, he seems to step up.

Re: Why is Tutu still on IR?
I agree, it's crazy how rams use 3rd rounders on VJ and TuTu, who are JAGs but find a incredible player like Puka in the 5th.SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑December 7th, 2025, 4:27 pmOut of nowhere. Most of guys are JAGs. Also spent seconds on van jefferson and atwell. Puka incredible value obv.

Re: Why is Tutu still on IR?
I think it make sense to activate him as insurance if nothing else. It sure seems like there are some DBs (I have never heard of) that can be slid on the PS. Candidly, I will be pissed if they don't activate him.

They clearly think Xavier Smith is better. There’s no other explanationJacksnow wrote: ↑December 7th, 2025, 7:43 am Forgive me if this has been asked and answered in a previous post. I really don’t see anything better from Xavier, Whit, or Mumpfield that makes me think Tutu isn’t better? He doesn’t seem to complain publicly either?

Re: Why is Tutu still on IR?
I don’t know if they think that Smith is a better receiver than Atwell, but he is a great value when you consider his overall skills, especially special teams. Smith has also been very open about how much he respects Atwell and has learned from him. It’s interesting how Smith has been used the past couple of games.
And McVay has been very open about how much he values blocking and special teams.
Fwiw, I’d like to see Atwell again.

Re: Why is Tutu still on IR?
Because he's too tiny to play in the NFL. He is good for one thing and that's running deep routes towards the sideline where he won't get killed. He has good hands and good speed but not good enough for the money he got paid this year. JMO

Re: Why is Tutu still on IR?
Good question
I'm thinking yes. Rams cutting Nick Hampton frees up a spot on the 53.
