Caleb Downs
I have been saying for a while that the Rams should draft a CB with their first pick and maybe another later in the draft.
But after watching some highlights on this kid I think he would really improve the entire DB grouping. I think he's an Earl Thomas type safety who might just be the best option for us with the Falcons pick.
Imagine Downs in round 1 and a really good Corner in round two. And we still have our other first rounder to spend on an offensive linemen.
Our defense is already very good but a top young ballhawking safety would make this defense sensational. Thoughts?

Re: Caleb Downs
you know me I love this kid. He would be a game changer back there. They say his football IQ is off the charts. I don't think he will be there at 10 though unfortunately. He is a guy who would be there for a solid 5-7 yrs maybe more.NN1Badboy wrote: ↑November 25th, 2025, 10:29 pm I have been saying for a while that the Rams should draft a CB with their first pick and maybe another later in the draft.

Re: Caleb Downs
After last weeks loss to Carolina this shows even more how weak our DB's really are.

Re: Caleb Downs
He’s a hybrid DB/LB and could be disruptive on all 3 levels of defense. Sign me up. Not sure he’ll be there at 9-13. Looks like a top 5 pick.

Re: Caleb Downs
yeah we have to get to the 5 spot to have a chance. If we are at 10 there are 2 stud CB's but there is also the LB from OSU who is a freakin stud, Reese....Would love to get a stud athletic LB.SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑December 4th, 2025, 10:27 pm He’s a hybrid DB/LB and could be disruptive on all 3 levels of defense.
