Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
There's no getting around the top 5-7 IMO because those teams are shite. But a few teams around ATL could put some wins together like the Skins and Bengals because they will get their QB's back. Cincy already won and moved behind ATL. There are three 3-9 teams ahead of Atl but I don't see any of them getting hot and moving behind ATL (Cle, AZ, NYJ).
I think #8 is the highest we could draft.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Thank goodness for atl pick bc imo the rams biggest need, if Stafford doesnt retire, is cb. I would go cb with both 1st round picks if the talent and value is there.
2nd round I want a run stopping Vit Vea type of DT to join the DL rotation. All the Rams have is Pooh, and when he is out or injured the Rams suck at stopping the run, as shown vs Carolina.
AJ and Warren McClendon are both young and performing well at tackle. I would be fine with getting a swing tackle and/or Center in round 3 or later.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Rams have their entire key DL signed for next year. Something tells me DL won’t be a huge priority like some think it should be……….
Unless McVay sees a QB in this draft that he has to have day one or two, JMO it will be secondary, OL, n WR as the priority. Yes WR. I’m not sure McVay will be able to pass on one of the projected top WR with two picks in the first………

agree that McVay is McVay with the WR topic but that is the last position they should use with the ATL pick. LT or CB has to be the priorityNorCal RF wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2025, 3:43 pm Rams have their entire key DL signed for next year. I’m not sure I agree. Nacua is looking at a huge contract soon and Adams may have one more year with this team then gone. I think there could be a value of trying to get a projected elite WR for the future to go along with Nacua. A WR that will be playing on that rookie contract that will be rather important considering the number of players who will be looking at big extensions soon……
McClendon’s 5 starts have me a bit less concern but if they went OT I’m fine with it……..

look at the Chargers they thought they were fine too. you have to get depth at the OL position and you can not seriously think this team is ok with the DB depth.....Not saying that WR can not see an upgrade but they have to start bringing in some talent at CB. you can't continue to ignore thisNorCal RF wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2025, 6:10 pmI’m not sure I agree. would be very beneficial. I don’t think it will happen next year but fact is you could cut Dotson n save $14+m. And in a few years he still could be gone……….
Same can be said at any position, charger comment, including WR. I’m just saying, n you admitted maybe, McVay may have a damn hard time passing on one of these projected top WR……..

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Wouldn't drafting and relying on a top rated WR, or any rookie ready to play at any position, who would then be on team friendly contracts for 3 years, free up $$ for a top caliber FA CB or whatever position the needs are?

bottom line is McSnead needs to stop using high draft picks on redshirt players. it is going to catch up with them. Didn’t back in the day drafted QB’s “red shirt” for a year or two? It’s not always a bad idea. Some of these kids are rushed too quick IMO. If we draft a premium LT at #9, what do we do with AJ Jackson? If your answer is that we start the rookie at RT then what do we do with McClendon who has been playing well? I fully agree we need to add a young, starting caliber OT but I'm thinking we use our second 1st rounder or even our 2nd rounder.
I'm more inclined to draft an impact player like Caleb Downs or an elite WR or CB. And let's not rule out QB yet. If Stafford retires and the Rams warm up to a QB then they will move up to get him.

I dont want to draft a OL in the 1st round if he isnt a huge upgrade over the tackles the Rams have. Rams tackles are the least of their problems. Where will the rookie play? Will he even be able to start or contribute? I'm all for getting a swing tackle 3rd or later in the draft along with a Center.
Rams biggest problems imo are CB (rams need two of them) and run stuffing DL depth. No run stuffer behind Pooh. Unlike OL, DL are rotated in. Teams like the eagles draft DL over and over bc it's all about the trenches and rotations when it comes to the DL.

If the Rams draft a OL in high in the draft, he very well could be redshirt bc AJ and McClendon are playing well at tackle.ocram23 wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2025, 7:27 pmbottom line is McSnead needs to stop using high draft picks on redshirt players. it is going to catch up with them. McClendon if he continues to play well see A. Jackson answer. Plus he is really cheap next year. This is where I disagree with OC on “red shirt” subject. McClendon has benefited from it and the Rams patience. Some players not playing just need a year or two but you can see the talent. It just needs to be developed to reach NFL level. Yes even some first n second round picks……..
I’m always of the belief best player available. Absolutely I draft Downs if he is there but he won’t be. Yep I draft an OL if that is what your draft board says. Fact is Jackson is a $14m cap savings if you cut him after the 26 season. McClendon is a FA. Dotson is. Avila is. You see where I’m going with this……….
I’m inclined to draft CB, Safety, WR, OL, ILB, etc if that is the highest player playing any of those positions on your board………
Stafford? I think he is having to much fun to retire. He has said more than once how much he is enjoying this season. JMO he will be around another 1-3 years. And I’m not convinced when the day comes if McVay goes the draft route to get his next QB. This upcoming class again isn’t that impressive……

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
I think you have to evaluate the player and if you think the OT is a better player than you draft him and have AJ as a backup. I do think the Chargers situation this year is a prime example of you can't have enough depth with the OL. Most teams are having issues with the OL so IMO you have to address this position with the one of the first 2 picks.49RH8R wrote: ↑December 4th, 2025, 10:29 amHere's a question for both of you guys and anybody else for that matter.NorCal RF wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2025, 6:53 pm

Agree. And if he is there at 5 n we are on the clock I have zero issues in taking him. Not trading up to 5 to get him though. Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Important games affecting our Falcon's pick:
Falcons are 4-8
Cleveland is 3-9 and could get to 4-9 by beating TN (not sure of tie breaker)
Skins 3-9 vs. Vikes 4-8. No matter who wins it helps.
Fins 5-7 vs. Jets 3-9. Go Jets! but a MIA win ensures ATL won't pick after Miami.

AJ and McClendon looking good again. Both are young too.
Rams needs corners in the 1st.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
at this point I would not be upset with them using the 1st round picks on the secondary
