Re: Today……..
Bottom post of the previous page:
I honestly think that KC's offense isn't very good. Backs aren't good. OL has holes. WR'S are injured and Kelcie is on the back 9. Because Philly's defense looked very vulnerable in week one. Especially against the pass. Don't be surprised if the Rams try to go Dan Marino on them.DelMar wrote: ↑September 14th, 2025, 3:19 pmBiggest change from last season I’m noticing right away… last season it took us 5-6 games to start to get our groove going.
Now this season, it’s just taking till the half of each game to gel.
So, we’re def on the right track… BUT, we need to pick it up next week and not wait till the 3rd qtr, as the Eagles ain’t no B team. Their defense looks even tougher this season than last.

I like this approach early in the season and the hot weather. They are just getting into game shape. I have worried a little about our run defense, especially next week.

Re: Today……..
I watched that game too and the Rams have a chance. The 2 biggest areas of concern for me in the offseason were not addressed, CB & OL, and now these have already appeared. Whitherspoon will be out for at least 8 weeks. I think Asante Samuel Jr is available, go get him Snead.duanevalle22 wrote: ↑September 15th, 2025, 7:08 am I watched the Eagles / Chiefs game..... If the Eagles play the Rams like they played yesterday against the Chiefs, and the Rams play like they did in the 2nd half against Titans, there's gonna be some pissed off fans in Philly.

You have trollish takes at times. You do it to be annoying and to get a reaction. It has NOTHING to do with McVay.duanevalle22 wrote: ↑September 15th, 2025, 7:05 am Other than the same two members that make a habit calling members names because you don't always post words of love about McVay, most folks are pretty cool and knowledgeable...
Like I stated in the other threads, the Titans suck and even if we played an average game we would beat them. Even though the play calling in the redzone in the 1st half is pretty typical of McVay, but the reasoning for passing with only 30 seconds left in the 2nd quarter (with only one time out) when the Rams got the ball starting the 3rd quarter was pretty mind boggling. But I've learned that is the kneejerk reaction that McVay has imbedded in his coaching style. But I think once McVay stopped talking to himself and looked at things from a wider lens, the Rams offense played a near perfect 2nd half and Stafford threw some beautiful passes. I thought for a moment we had a slightly faster version of Dan Marino out there....
The OL played damn good.... I'll admit I was worried about Stafford getting smacked around, but only got smacked a good one only once.
The defense again played well, but there is one DB I'm a bit concerned about (Forbes).... I see shades of Kendricks... He get's burned a lot. But I think he's a rookie, and he's learning on the job.

Forbes is not a rookie. He was a first round pick of the Washington *Redskins*.

I'm all honesty Forbes wasn't bad. The first big catch against him was amazingly accurate. Forbes was in tight coverage but the pass was perfect.
The td against Forbes was amazing as well. Thrown dead on accrate, across the field, with the qb running in the opposite direction.

Agreed and still odd that he has so much negativity against a top 3 nfl coach, that over 95 percent of the league which they had. Some of his negative comments vs Stafford. 90-57 which ranks 9th overall in current winning % for HC…….
Most important by far the highest winning % for the organization for HC. And as we all know most wins by a Rams HC……..
And some of us know how good this organization was year after year until they moved to St. Louis…….
But hey let’s continue to be subjected to the BS……

Re: Today……..
Some of you people must be relatives of Kevin Demoff.
I remember I used to post on RealRamsFans and some of them were the beers with Devaney group who never ever would allow anything other than unabashed cheerleading.
When McVay wins as many Super Bowls as Bill Belichik, then I’ll understand treating him as such. And even Belichik was fired.
But when you bring this stuff like “top 3 coach in the NFL, and best OC in the game”…and I look at the stats, and I look at the rest of the teams around the league, sorry it’s just garbage.
If you say McVay is an above average coach, I agree with that.
But when you guys starts arguing McVay is the greatest coach ever, and Snead is the greatest GM ever, and the Rams are the bestest team ever.
Sorry it’s just wrong.
Till then, it’s a joke. And Felix I’ve read your comments in the game thread and now this thread. Clearly you suffer from Schizophrenia

We obviously look solid, and we only have 2 key injuries with Ahkello/Avila but I want to see how we fair against the Eagles. There is no snow, we are deeper, we have better ILB play plus Poona should help the run game, the DL has one year more experience together, and that goes for a lot of positions plus more overall depth equals we should be better and give the Eagles a close game but we shall see.

Re: Today……..
I’ve criticized Sean McVay plenty of times before, I’ve had my issues with him, but the truth is the guy only does one thing: win. That’s all he does. And you can’t criticize winning. Since he got here, the Rams have basically been a playoff team every single year. We’re talking eight seasons, five playoff appearances (and if we make it this year, that’s six out of eight), two Super Bowl trips, and one Lombardi Trophy. That’s an elite résumé, period.
And let’s not forget: in his very first year with Stafford, he already did what everybody dreams of — won a Super Bowl. That head coach–quarterback duo has delivered more in a short time than a lot of franchises manage in decades.
That’s why it’s ridiculous when someone keeps hammering away at McVay and Stafford nonstop. That’s not analysis, that’s an agenda. And that’s exactly what Truth does every single time: he just shows up to tear down a top-3 head coach and a Hall of Fame quarterback. That’s not constructive opinion, that’s pure bias.
Now, I get what Glendora said — having a stupid opinion isn’t against the rules. Fine. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s annoying and exhausting, because it drags down the quality of the forum. The simple fact is this: with McVay, the Rams went from being irrelevant to being a consistent powerhouse. You can nitpick about playcalling or certain decisions, sure, but you can’t argue with results.
So when someone tries to claim that McVay or Stafford aren’t good enough, it just shows they’re not looking at reality. Because the reality is that with McVay in charge, the Rams are always on the map, always competing, always winning.

That is a ridiculous list. First of all, to even get to ten you had to repeat two teams — the Ravens and the Lions. And honestly, I find it very hard to believe you actually think the Chargers, Lions, Ravens, Bills, and Broncos all have better head coaches than the Rams. That’s absolute insanity.Truth wrote: ↑September 15th, 2025, 5:13 pmRams are 27-26 since 2021.

These guys are getting their teams to the playoffs, sure — but guess what? So does McVay, every single year. The only small difference is that in the past five years, McVay not only got to the Super Bowl, he actually won one. None of those other coaches can say the same.

Re: Today……..
Yes I did see that. I said to myself what's up with Mcvay. Hopefully it was only his leg falling asleep from stand in on sidelines for hours.duanevalle22 wrote: ↑September 16th, 2025, 7:10 am I think the Lions coach is good with young players but is a nitwit when it comes to 4th downs... I couldn't deal with watching that coach every Sunday.
The Broncos look completely undisciplined.
I do like the Chargers and Bills coaches
I would like to see Shula take over the Rams head coaching spot at some point.
I'm not sure what the unemployed coaching pool looks like out there, but McVay has been making better coaching decisions the last two games and the offense is looking really good. But I don't think I'll ever be a McVay fan....
Oh.... did anyone see McVay limping after Sundays game???? I think he pulled something running up and down sidelines like a hyperactive 10 year old.... That I wish he would stop doing.

Harbaugh is doing great things with the Chargers. No denying he is a great coach.Jacksnow wrote: ↑September 16th, 2025, 7:13 amYes I did see that. I said to myself what's up with Mcvay. Re: Today……..
I like Harbaugh too but the offense looked awful last night. so much for them being a running team. granted it's along yr but right now they are not a playoff team IMO. they tried losing that game last night

"I would like to see Shula take over the Rams head coaching spot at some point". You want a second year Defensive Coordinator to become Head Coach of the Rams, because you don't like McVay for whatever stupid fucking reason, who's the Rams winningest Coach in history? Bad take after bad take. He deserves to get called out.

Re: Today……..
What distinguished “coaching style” does Shula have. Hasn’t he been under McVay for the last 9 years……………

Re: Today……..
You have been his toughest critic, but also extremely fair Brasil.brasilrams wrote: ↑September 15th, 2025, 9:31 pm I’ve criticized Sean McVay plenty of times before, I’ve had my issues with him, but the truth is the guy only does one thing: win.
That’s not analysis, that’s an agenda (THIS!).
People listen more when you are fair. And to me, you have always been fair. People will ignore others in here when they have no evidence, are not fair and purely post from emotions
Very good post B, and fair.
