2 FIRST ROUNDERS in next year's draft!!!
We got a 2nd this year and a 1st next year from Atlanta.
Next year should be a better year to perhaps draft Stafford's replacement. Wow, I'm liking this!

I hate this . Chances of drafting an impact player are now , greatly reduced.

2nd this year is because we gave up our first. Big gain is 1st next year. This draft is going to be thin. Not alot of picks.

Not bad. Raheem morris and penix I assume will result in a solid first round pick.

Re: 2 FIRST ROUNDERS in next year's draft!!!
Yes, we get their 2nd round pick this year (gave up our 1st rounder this year).
Still, lots of good players out there.
There seems to be a line of thought this year in that picks from about 10 to 50 are a bunch of guys with similar ratings.
So there won't be (in theory) much of a drop off when the Rams pick in the 2nd round.

I like this deal too. Feels like making up for the Fiske trade but getting a better pick.
I also think good chance Falcons suck next year.

Re: 2 FIRST ROUNDERS in next year's draft!!!
JMO it is exactly what we needed to do to go after that next top rated college QB after Stafford. I said so a few months ago the value of getting a second 1st round pick in this draft for next year. It is a projected really good QB draft next year.
There will be solid players to take moving forward in this draft. And now we don’t have to worry about them taking a QB the next 2 days.
Big fan of this trade.

Re: 2 FIRST ROUNDERS in next year's draft!!!
It played out just as I thought. Pick 26 was a black hole of huge question marks. They either took OL depth, or took a chance with the Mich DB, or LB Campbell, who both had injury questions.SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑April 24th, 2025, 8:09 pmWho was the impact player we missed at 26?brasilrams wrote: ↑April 24th, 2025, 8:07 pm I hate this . I would have liked a little bit more in return, because the 2nd rounder is a mid round pick, and we also gave up a 3rd. Next year will be great, but they gotta hit these few picks out of the park.

Re: 2 FIRST ROUNDERS in next year's draft!!!
And our own 2nd and 3rd so 4 picks in the first 2 rounds.
I doubt that holds but the Rams definitely scouted the 2026 draft already.

Re: 2 FIRST ROUNDERS in next year's draft!!!
Is there another QB next year better than Shedeur tho? Seems fortunate to get a guy slide that long

Re: 2 FIRST ROUNDERS in next year's draft!!!
We didn't have a 2nd this year, and we also gave up the compensatory 3rd round pick (#101) this year.
So, we end up with no first rounder, but got a 2nd and still have a 3rd (#90).

Need to nail these 2nd and 3rd round picks. Would Snead trade down from 46? I hope not.

will be a huge fan if ATL shits the bed next yr. So, if we know it’s a QB next year, do we put beaf on the line this year? Tackle? Center?
Nothing better than a Rams win, but a Niner loss comes pretty close.

I don’t either in regards to 101 but JMO well worth it to now have their first next year.ocram23 wrote: ↑April 24th, 2025, 8:35 pmwill be a huge fan if ATL shits the bed next yr. Big fan of this trade.
Niners n Seahawks forums are like what the hell ATL. Yes most feel Pearce will be a good player but they are not happy we possibly set ourselves up for possibly the top QB next year. A few have said in those forums that Sneed is just damn smart.

Re: 2 FIRST ROUNDERS in next year's draft!!!
The Rams do need a swing-style backup OT, one who can develop into a starter next season, yet even more so they'll need to acquire a #1 CB and a starting ILB... :? ;)

Re: 2 FIRST ROUNDERS in next year's draft!!!
I look at it two ways. Besides Campbell, I wasn't thinking oh we need to draft player X. We're still in great position with our second round pick...
That trade IMO was all about 2026. Instead of having to make a crazy trade to move up we can now package the 2 first round picks next year and perhaps our 2027 1st or 2nd round pick to move up and get a QB...
Bottom line IMO. It doesn't hurt us this year but gives us a ton of capitol for next year. I grade the trade a solid A+...

QBs next year --
https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/positions/QB/1/2026
I like the move because I didn't see a path for a quality QB this year or next w/o a much higher pick in 1st round, which they now have (and we will root against ATL every game next year).

How about this. Atlanta sucks next year, finish with a top 5 pick, and they don't have to package both 1s for a QB?
Here we go again. I couldn't wait for this draft to come, and now I'm already counting the days for the 26 draft. I guess I need to get a few hobbies or something!!

Obviously I want Atlanta to suck next year. Would be freaking awesome. If by chance they\we had the 5th pick and we won the SB we could package those picks with a 4th round pick and move up to get the #1 pick. I'm hoping for the best but even if we have their 15th pick and we package our 32nd pick plus a pick later (3rd or 4th round) or even our #1 in 2026 I'd make the move in a heartbeat to get the best QB on the board...
Again - I rate the trade A+...
