Some guys i’d like to see us look at in the draft
Not necessarily in this order, and maybe not all of them, but I think this would be a good group to look at
TE Hunter Henry
FS Darian Thompson or Jalen Mills
MLB Kentrell Brothers or Tyler Matakevich
WR Braxton Miller or Tyler Boyd
QB Cardale Jones or Kevin Hogan
TE Bryce Williams or Jarell Adams or Jake McGee (We could use 2)
WR Charone Peake - worth taking a late round flier on. Dabo Sweeny said he’s the best WR he’s coached (that includes De’Andre Hopkins, and Sammy Watkins)
What do you guys think. Any guys that may fly under the radar that I am missing?

Good list...but I don't see any first rounders in there (Maybe Henry).
Not that there has to be...just sayin'.

Re: Some guys i’d like to see us look at in the draft
Interesting list.
1.) Feel Henry would not be a reach at 15. Guess all prospects can end up being a bust or not what the "experts" state prior to draft but unsure we have seen a TE enter the draft with this much potential in a very long time. If Henry ends up producing in Witten/Gronk type fashion, taking him at 15 would end up be the steal of round 1. Fact Henry's father is a former Division 1 OT is a huge plus for Henry's blocking techniques he would bring to the TE position.
2.) Realize Rams have put a lot of draft capitol in the oline last two drafts but OT Conklin MS and Nick Martin C, ND are two prospects I feel have very bright NFL futures.
3.) Agree on Charone Peak, the top wr I would like for Rams to target to play outside. Would be very happy if Rams added both Henry and Peak by the end of round 2 or 3. An offense that moved forward with Gurley, Henry and Peak would be great foundation for a qb to succeed.

Henry late in Rd 1 if Rams moved back and Peak late in 4 or 5th rd.Wildflecken wrote:

I watched Brothers a lot (Mizzou). He runs well, is a very good tackler (led the nation), leader on the field, 1st team SEC. He will be an NFL starter but to me lacks the size (6'1" 235#) and strength to play MLB in the NFL. Watched JL get pushed around for years and prefer a bigger MLB prototype like Ragland (250#+) in the middle. RR would look great in Horns.

Why do the Rams have to move back to get Henry? Whether he's #15 or #20, what's the difference? If we like the guy, we shouldn't get cute. If he turns out to be the guy we think he's gonna be, it won't matter where we got him.Macnasty357 wrote:Henry late in Rd 1 if Rams moved back and Peak late in 4 or 5th rd.Wildflecken wrote:

Picking up an extra pick is always nice, but I remember 2012. Would much rather have had Wagner (LB) than pead. All I'm saying is I think this guy could be a huge difference maker for this team. I'd hate to miss out on him just because we thought #15 was a few spots too high; especially if he does in fact go in the 1rst round.

After the combine, I'm sticking with these picks. I like these guys a lot.

I agree. If we want him, we should just get him. We need a TE and if he's the man, then don't mess around, sign him up.Fanotodd wrote:Why do the Rams have to move back to get Henry? Brugler at NFL DraftScout has his new top 50, and Henry's not on it. I was solid on Henry until the Combine--weak BP and he didn't run. Maybe if he's a 4.6 at his team day, but mocks have him out of the first round. If the Rams have to draft at 15, then Ragsdale or Treadwell. Henry should be there at 43, if they like him. If not, Hooper in the 3rd.Fanotodd wrote:Why do the Rams have to move back to get Henry? Whether he's #15 or #20, what's the difference? If we like the guy, we shouldn't get cute. So much depends on which FAs the Rams re-sign--CB, DE, DT, LB all hinge on Tru, Hayes, Fairley and Barron (I'm figuring JJ's gone).
Don't know Peak--I'll have to check him out. I'm thinking WR at 43 or 45--again, depending on FA.

Maybe not Peake?
I checked out Peake on the Combine site. They like his size and speed, however one scout said: Sources Tell Us "Like his size and speed but hands are dicey. Will work out well and get people excited." -- Southeastern area scout.NN1Badboy wrote:Not necessarily in this order, and maybe not all of them, but I think this would be a good group to look at

He's not in the Top 20 WR thread on this Forum. Sounds like somebody named Quick...??

Now that free agency has hit what do you guys think about this draft now? It really hits some needs. Maybe throw a center in there somewhere and it's a pretty darned good draft.
