wr combine winners
Doctson should of assured himself of being selected in the 1st and should be the 1st wr selected.... that gauntlet catch was so typical of Doctson 6'2 with a 41 inch vertical..simply wins balls high, low are every place in between
Coleman..ditto
Fuller...big fan even with the occasional drops..late 1st/early 2nd one of the best 40's over the last 10 years
thought Treadwell showed he is an average athlete....really needs to run close to 4.5 at his pro day
Leonte Carroo should off his muscular body and solid 35.5 vertical, 4.5 speedand 14 reps
Keyarris Garret Tulsa 3rd 6'3 1/2 220 has serious WOW! In his game tall, strong wr with long arms 36.5 vertical....just wins over the top
not a fan but Braxton Miller had a very solid combine
Sterling Shepard great workout..very smart so I know he killed the interviews
Demarcus Robinson Florida 6'1 1/2 203 "Mr. Suspension." 4 suspensions with elite body control, hands and speed Looks like a #1 wr likely many teams have removed him from their board..combine workout showed off his athleticism/body control great 4th/5th rd selection
Marquez North Tennessee 6'2 1/2 223 big hands, good speed wins 50/50 balls injured part of 2015 All academic...another combine winner today...love this kid as a later rd pick
Trevor Davis from cal made some serious money today
Chris Moore did well does a great job on vertical rts and showed decent athleticism
lot of losers today
thought Mayock quoting someone saying wr is an easy evaluation...have to get separation whether with elite speed, physicality or brains/quickness and have good hands...lot of college possession wr's lack the physicality/upper body strength to get open in the NFL..love the guys who enjoy physical contact with db's..especially the strong hands to push off a little

I suspect the Rams will look good and hard at Doctson. The lack of a route tree will certainly hurt him, though.

I believe Fuller moved has moved up to the first round. Lets see what Treadwell does at his pro day but as of now I'm a big fan of Fuller.

Over the last 17 draft classes, there have been only 13 wide receivers to match the speed, vertical, broad, and height of Josh Doctson.
thing to remember about Doctson is he very, very, very good football player....not just a workout warrior

Re: wr combine winners
Perfect quote to explain why I hated the Tavon Austin selection, especially the decision to move up and sacrifice draft capitol to obtain. Think of the draft profile given to Braxton Miller by Mayock this class. Mayock states a third round grade but will go in two due to shallow class, Mayock or another analyst commented teams will employ him in backfield, slot, returner. Miller actually brings more size and athleticism to create separation from the slot. TA should of never been considered higher than a 3rd round prospect. As every bit of a bad first round selection as Anthony Bell was with old football cardinals, a third round lb taken 5th overall. Austin still does not display the ability to create consistent separation from slot even with his added strength last offseason. We will see what this season brings but quickly becoming a player at least when aligned at wr who will never be more than a screen/jet sweep talent. Rams would be wise to eliminate carries for Mason and give them to TA when Gurley needs a breather out of backfield. Only a 10 snap player maximum at wr, if that, assuming of course the offense actually does hope to have a downfield passing attack.poplarbluffman wrote:Doctson should of assured himself of being selected in the 1st and should be the 1st wr selected.... that gauntlet catch was so typical of Doctson 6'2 with a 41 inch vertical..simply wins balls high, low are every place in between

Agree on Doctson. Would be nice addition to Rams offense opposite Britt. Ability to make catch in tight windows imperative in NFC West. Not much space to operate in week in, week out

Re: wr combine winners
I loved watching Doctson play last year. Didn't watch a lot of TCU games, but the ones I did he certainly had a wow factor. Any idea who this guy compares to in the NFL?
