Punch in the mouth

Post by chris »

I was really hoping this team would have what it took to beat a really tuff team. Not even close fucking embarrassing paper tiger , before tonight I would get pissed off at post saying that this Rams team Ain’t that good .After what I saw tonight ,were not that good and how the media talks about super bowl . This team needs some real CB’s except Ramsey and fucking real linebacker .And a new DC Morris sucks and special teams when was the last time you could remember a great return kick I can’t because there hasn’t been one.

Let’s like at this as a positive. Long season still, we got outplayed physically no doubt. Now we learn that when we meet very physical teams we have to be as physical or more. A loss now it’s the end of the season it could turn out
To be a blessing. Learn you can’t always score 30 sometimes you have to be physical and run the rock, take short gains and move the sticks. They will or should learn from it

It does seem like this franchise consistently craps their pants just as soon as someone starts to talk about them as being elite. And McVay spends most of the post-game talking about how he didn't put his team in a good position to be successful. I have problems with his play-calling too but the fact is that his o-line got their asses handed to them all night and he's just not going to go there, at least not in public. I hope that it's different in private and that he calls some guys out but I wonder.

He didn't nail S.h.i.t. Defense allowed 7 points today. We lost because our offense couldn't score and our o line was completely dominated.

Rams defense gave up under 200 yards but OP railed on them.
Our team's "D" may have seemed decent statistically, yet it was unable to come up with key stops when the game was still potentially on the line.

Fourth-and-goal for the Titans on the Rams' two-yard line, then Ryan Tannehill waltzes into the end zone with the football, because no defender could be bothered to cover the QB.

What exactly is that...?? :( :?:

Defense actually played a pretty damn game besides tons of penalties with the refs constantly bailing the Titans out on Rams stops!! This was bad OLine play, McVay not changing it up with all the Titans pressure and 2 very bad passes my Stafford basically giving those clowns 🤡 a 14 point jump and that’s tough to come back from. Had a few shots still but the Higbee overturn, Tom much settling for FG’s and constant penalties assisting the Titans and killing the Rams!! First time at SOFI beautiful place but that was tough to watch 🤦🏻‍♂️🤬

The result was a punch in the mouth but i'm going to grab the silver lining. For 4 years McVay HASN'T adapted in-game when our offense wasn't working. In this game he finally did. We didn't have enough pre-snap motion or screens and we still played with far too many 5-wide sets, but yes, we did actually try something different in the 2nd half. I could say maybe it wasn't McVay, but why would I want to grab the big, nasty cloud?

Right… we lost because they had the great defense, ours was good, theirs played better…

With a better scheme, we win this one

Wrong again . They did come with the stop but the refs kept their drive alive creating a bullshit penalty on AD . Sorry , you can't outplay the refs when they are in there to FORK YOU .

and you do realize you are complaining about a score , earlier in the game , that the titans got the ball at the ONE yard line . Did you honestly expect the defense to stop them when they have a first and ONE because of a pick returned to the 1 yard line ?

Do you even know the game of FOOTBALL ? sometimes I wonder if you have EVER watched an entire game .

“Now, we learn”… ??? that’s been a trend of ours for
years. McVay can’t seem to adjust to smash mouth football, maybe too impatient! San Fran going to come at us the same way and they have had our number for awhile. Let’s hope to being quick learners.

Nope! You're 100% incorrect.

The TD you're referring to came early in the 2nd quarter, after the first Titans' interception of Matthew Stafford--it occurred on a two-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill to Geoff Swain.

The TD I described came close to halftime, late in the 2nd quarter, following a sustained drive by the Titans which our team's "D" proved helpless to stop.

The Titans' first two TDs were the responsibility of Stafford, however the third one was clearly the fault of the Rams' defense. As for Tannehill's easy rushing score on 4th-and-goal, there's simply *zero* excuse not to cover the QB in that situation.

It's disappointing to find out that you're an *ad hominem* poster, there were too many of those here already, but that's life... :( :? :|

Dude the Bills got bitch slapped by the lowly Jaguars yesterday and scored 6 points. This kind of thing the Rams went through yesterday is going to happen. We are still 7 - 2 with a chance to win a division game against the 3 - 5 sorry ass 49ers. The Titans game is history and if not for a couple of Stafford miscues in the first quarter, Rams probably win that game. Rams will be fine people....calm down already!!

what is disappoint is you blaming the defense for allowing 7 points in the ENTIRE GAME . SO , the titans had ONE DRIVE that resulted in a TD . ONE . And you are saying the defense couldn't get a stop when it mattered the most ? lol .

Offence stunk, Stafford looked like Fred Astaire with those happy feet, very uncertain on where to throw the ball, Mcvay needs an offensive coach to help him adjust to defense

Well, that's totally irrelevant to my point about the negativity of *ad hominem* argumentation, nor does it concede that I was correct about when Ryan Tannehill's virtually unchallenged rushing TD took place, however I certainly did recognize the major contribution that Matthew Stafford's inept QB play made to our team's defeat last night.

If a Rams defender had been assigned to cover Tannehill on that fourth-&-goal play, resulting in the Titans failing to score just before the two-minute warning despite a long drive, I'm figuring that such a defensive stand might have inspired the Good Guys going into halftime.

So yes, a goal-line stop at that point might well have proven critical, I'm speculating, although of course it's impossible to prove, either one way or another... ;) :?

This loss doesn't bother me. I picked TN to win in OT. What concerns me was how. TN DL destroyed the Ram's OL and that completely shut down the Ram's O. McVay better learn something about this. I do not think we need OBJ. We need better OL play.

I have a sense we are going to see TN again and it will be with Derrick Henry.

Their DL is the best in the game. And they are quite deep.

I am not a fan of getting Von Miller or OBJ. That is not the problem with the Rams.

The OL struggles all the time with physical fronts with this offense. That needs to be addressed and with no draft picks and no cap space. I am concerned. TN O did not have too much at all because their D raped this offense.
