Re: 3 factors for this loss…
When the QB gives the other team 14 points, that’s near impossible to overcome.
Defense was fine although Titans missing Henry was huge.
Rams Oline was really bad. Most of the pressure was up the middle or stunts and that’s on Brian Allen to prevent that and he stunk tonight.

Just have to regroup, come out focused against the 9ers, Stafford needs to right himself (and he will) and after a solid victory in S.F. come back more focused after the bye...chicken littles cluck away...

We could not just drop back and pass against this team… yet that is exactly what we did the whole first half…

Re: 3 factors for this loss…
Looking at our run-in, it now looks rather brutal if you ask me.
Seeing what the Vikings did against Baltimore changes things. They're now a serious threat.
I think I had us losing 4 games over the season before it began, those being ARZ, TEN, GB & BAL.
Looking at what we have remaining and how 2nd rate we looked, for the most part yesterday, I fear we could be going 11-6 now. So add MIN & the 2nd ARZ game to that list.

Re: 3 factors for this loss…
You got that part wrong. Our defense was fine on first and second down. Then on third down they seemed to always allow the Titans to convert. There is nothing fine about that. Go watch the game again.Truth wrote: ↑November 7th, 2021, 8:16 pm When the QB gives the other team 14 points, that’s near impossible to overcome.

Re: 3 factors for this loss…
Dfense looked ok- especially second half. It's a lot to ask when you have to allow ZERO points after giving them 2 touchdown spot. This was a loss in the trenches of the OL, QB mistakes(turnovers and brutal ones at that), and lack of adjusting in 1st half. This would be anyones game if we don't spot them 2 TDs.

Looks like other teams has gotten the game plan to beat us.
Take away the short stuff, runs stunts on the OL or just plain beat the OL with brute strength.

#1 agree 100%………
#2 yes Stafford made some poor decisions but they were made because of #1……….
#3 because of #1………..
OL for the first time revisited 2019. Just a horrible performance. I’m willing to give them a mulligan but there cannot be a repeat. Niner game is going to be a big time test for them.

or
1. OL looked good run blocking
2. Stafford couldn't find open guys against cover 4
3. McVay play calling by not running it down their throats when they were daring us to .

It was glaring I agree. Glaring also that the 2 guards were physically manhandled also. Glaring also that a veteran RT playing as well as he has played can look so bad like he did last night.

Mike the OL was really, really bad last night…………..BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑November 8th, 2021, 7:40 am The main reason we lost is that Stafford had the misfortune on his desperate throwaway from his End Zone of having it picked off. If that ball is incomplete we probably win. If that play is a SAFETY we probably win. We would still be leading and Titans werent moving the ball against our D until they seized momentum with the 2 pick-6s. In general, a giant yawn to last nights loss in the big picture.

Not every team has the personnel to pull that off. Sure more teams may try to run cover four and take their chances but I believe we will move the pocket, more play action and run against teams that try in the future.daruleoframs wrote: ↑November 8th, 2021, 6:16 am Looks like other teams has gotten the game plan to beat us.

Re: 3 factors for this loss…
Both Ram losses this year were to teams that came in and out-muscled their o-line. The Cards had the advantage of a superior offense but the Titans made up for it by harassing Stafford like no other team has done so far.daruleoframs wrote: ↑November 8th, 2021, 6:16 am

Re: 3 factors for this loss…
Did you say Run? McVay won’t run the ball. This is a huge issue and he just doesn’t get it. Imagine our offense with Hendo getting 20 touches a game. Just about every time the Rams run the ball, it’s 5-6 yards or better. Yet, McVay rather throw on most every down. 1st and goal at the 4 and he passes 4 times.Hacksaw wrote: ↑November 8th, 2021, 7:51 amNot every team has the personnel to pull that off. I wonder what the reaction is like on the Cowboys forums after their loss to the Broncos.
Betcha they ain't singing & dancing on there... Can guess the mood is somewhat sombre like ours.

If you can figure it out just from watching the game, what do you think opposing head coaches and defensive coordinators will be able to do?daruleoframs wrote: ↑November 8th, 2021, 6:16 am

Re: 3 factors for this loss…
Some people have lost their marbles. We lost a game to a good team. WTF? Stafford is trash...defense was terrible.....OL is trash.....c'mon. Relax. It's 1 game where we literally spotted them 14 points and lost the battle in the trenches. That's it. It was a game full of blunders and mistakes. FULL of them. Beat ourselves. But just move on. Stafford is still the man. Defense played great overall. Too many penalties and 2 pick 6. That's it. Move on with dismantling the entire organization. We are 7-2.

Re: 3 factors for this loss…
It's 49er week so it's time to move on. I expect the Rams to learn from their mistakes. I also expect to see more of the same cover 4 even though I doubt many other teams will have the personnel to do what Tennessee did last night. And as been said we spotted them 14 and lost by 12.

Re: 3 factors for this loss…
Wasn’t misfortune. It was a TERRIBLE decision. One a veteran QB should never make. Stafford got rattled and made bad decisions. Rams have played 3 teams with winning records and lost 2 of 3. Nothing to yawn about. Rams offense has completely shit the bed in 2 of those 3. All the justifications in the world don’t change that fact. They need to find a way to beat the Niners and then work their ass off during the bye week. This team has the potential to be good but they are not there yet.BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑November 8th, 2021, 7:40 am The main reason we lost is that Stafford had the misfortune on his desperate throwaway from his End Zone of having it picked off. Re: 3 factors for this loss…
By this you mean we should work on not turning the ball over, racking up penalties, and blocking for our QB? Then yes I agree we have work to do. I was not suggesting we move on and say "great game, maybe next time!" What I meant was- move on to the remaining games. Part of me is glad they all know they are NOT the team to beat right now. We gotta get better and work harder. Other teams are better than us right now.

I think it's great we get the Niners in primetime next up. They've had plenty to say in the past, they think they'll smash us in the mouth too.
Fantastic opportunity to put things right in another physical game in front of the nation.
