Aaron Rodgers - Thoughts

Post by ocram23 »

Personally I thought he tried to pull a fast one and got caught. Now he is pointing fingers and blaming everyone.

I think GB is praying Love goes off today so they can rid themselves of Rodgers at the end of the year.

Thoughts?

Rodgers doesn't need to take a shot and I support his right not to.
However he was wrong to misrepresent his status.
I'd lay odds that the Packers (management and teammates) the NFLPA and the NFL were aware of this and chose to ignore it.
One set of rules for the elite and another for everyone else.

I disagree for one reason. Although IMO, it’s bs how they have this protocol for players laid out but now look at the position he put his team in. He may be out for possibly two games. If they lose this one it could cost them a top seeding in the playoffs which obviously means home field advantage. That’s crucial for the Packers BUT great for us if we take care of our business. Like we use to say when you have to grab the ugly girl for your friend to get the pretty girl, sometimes you have to take one for the team!

Not to mention the business of the NFL and the Packers franchise, which mismanaged the whole situation by giving Aaron Rodgers 'special treatment' due to his superstar status.

Of course, no one is *required* to play in the NFL if he can't handle the league-wide conditions of employment, Rodgers could retire tomorrow should he desire to.

I've had numerous requirements in order to be employed in my field, quite a few vaccinations included, as have many millions of Americans. Obviously, I could have just said "No, thank you," and left my job, the same option that Rodgers currently has--although financially it would be overwhelmingly easier for him, given that he's a multimillionaire many times over.

"Arrogant, supremely egotistical and ultra-entitled," that's Aaron... :( :?

Rodgers is a primadonna now playing the martyr not very convincedly...If he did not want the vaccine or truly has an allergy for an ingredient in the mRNA vaccine then say it, own it. He is a lying sack of sh*t!

WHY?

I am so sick of all the liberal B.S. Ideology. Why should anyone have to be vaccinated?
For years and years all we have heard is my body my choice, when it comes to killing innocent babies.

Now all of a sudden there is this mystery pandemic created in a lab and in no time at all we have a miracle cure. Now they are trying to force people into getting vaccinated.

Once again I ask WHY? Do you even wonder? Or are you just a sheep? Our government is crooked and so are the pharmaceutical companies.

Somebody is getting paid very handsomely for all the vaccinations that have been developed so of course they are going to push for more. SMH.

Not trying to start a war but why is the NFL pushing this agenda?

Ahhhh, here we go again with the usual partisan political BS being inserted into an NFL discussion, predictable as clockwork! There's an "Off-Topic" section where all this ideological blatrhering can take place, weren't you aware of that?

Yes, I'm pointing it out! What's the sense of having rules to keep football-related discussion on topic, if they're not being enforced? I recall from the old AOL Rams board 15-20 years ago, this stuff can ruin a previously good sports forum.

So who's going to subtly imply that "The prohibition against partisan/ideological posts here, that only applies to ones which I disagee with?", hmmmm...?? :? :?:

ram pathos...

Especially when vaxxed and non vaxxed carry the same viral load. It’s complete BS. Many Americans are losing their jobs because of this mandating. It’s complete horse crap.

The Packers (his employer) knew he wasn’t. So what did he do wrong? Not wear a mask at time? So what. If vaxxed and non vaxxed can transmit it, what does it matter?…. It doesn’t. That’s the real sham Going on. Tired of these talking heads judging us who choose not to be vaxxed w a brand new, not really tested vaccine. No thx!
He lied about it...bottom line...why do you have to turn this into vaxx / non-vaxx...he lied with the cameras rolling about his status...comprendo? A vaxxed person clears the virus sooner so they have less chance to spread the virus...!

I didn’t know he lied about it. If that’s the case, why isn’t he suspended? If he did lie, then that’s on him and he deserves punishment.

Gotcha. I didn’t know he tried using immunized as the same thing. I just am reading up on it, apparently many people are blaming his Hollywood girl friend. But, knowing Rodgers, he made this choice on his own.
Plus there's the fact that the coronavirus is transmitted through the air, so the guy not wearing a mask in close quarters creates much more of a threat to infect others (not to mention get infected himself, as he did) than a masked person would create.

I don't give a crap about any partisan/ideological BS, this is a *health* issue and Aaron Rodgers deliberately and unnecessarily risked his team losing his services during the middle of the NFL season, not to mention risking the health of other people who believed that he was fully vaccinated.

"It was my girlfriend's fault," hmmmm? Nope, I don't buy that, not at all... :x

No, it really is not a health issue. But that is not the debate. It is a rule violation plain and simple. And a rule violation that many people across the NFL spectrum were likely aware of and blase enough about to enable his violations.

Same viral load is accurate vaxed vs unvaxed. The difference is the effect getting exposed to covid . Vax'd a vast majority is mild... Such as myself. Unvaxed wildly unpredictable and crippling up to deadly. Rodgers broke ALL of the protocols and put people at risk outside of his controlled workplace by lying as he did. No excuse for that. None.

well said Commish. the whole point of my thread was to show how ridiculous Rodgers has been in this whole story. It was not a topic about getting the vaccine so to you morons who responded negatively learn how to read.
He is 100% in the wrong in regards to this. It is his right not to get it but be a F'N MAN and stand up and said you aren't vaccinated vs purposely being deceitful.

Agreed 100%!

Technically the issue is Aaron Rodgers violating the NFL's anti-pandemic rules, however there's no rule against being a self-centered, dishonest, ultra-entitled jackass... :( :x :|

So no difference in viral load or transmission capability. In fact, increased testing requirements for the unconverted means they are more likely to be identified early and less likely to spread the virus. The increased risk then is to themselves only.

Packers are like, this sucks but they are stuck. They can’t stop winning w him. Then when he goes out, today happens. I think if Rodgers was in today, the Pack would have won… and everyone in the pack organization knows it.

I think Aaron needs to go the Tom Brady route… go pick a team like Tampa. Call his own shots and do his own thing. Have total control like Tom does. Question is, what team will do that for Aaron?

Hmm
100% agree with you. also doesn't help that Love sucked today. I think GB management was hoping Love would go off today.
