Good news. Looks like we could have a big upgrade at the position. Should help the line be more physical in short yardage

Corbett will be very good at center , but we still need depth . He goes down and then we are stuck with demby that means we are done .

Corbett could really make some big money if he’s successful at center this season. He’s scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after this year.

Good is a relative term. Good compared to what? The other centers on the team? His play in the past? or Good compared to other Centers in the league?

I don’t put too much faith in these one liners we hear from camp. Time will tell. I still think we should have drafted a stud Center out of college instead of trying to convert a guard. JMO

Pads today and some full hitting. That will be nice for evaluating the linemen and also the ILBs.

While it is encouraging to read I’m taking it for what it is and trusting the coaching staff. Just now putting on pads and all.

I am just hoping this line stays healthy. I think it is safe to expect Whit will miss time at some point with injury. Who will be the starting guard on the right? Evans? Anchrum? Noteboom on sidelines waiting for injuries?Assuming Edwards on left G.

Austin Reiter is still available as of now. Many analysts have him ranked between the 12th - 15th best starting center in the NFL.

His pass blocking ratings are in the top 5 and his run blocking is average. Seems to me if they really spent time with in depth run blocking coaching and teaching they could get him into the top 10 centers in the NFL.

If they signed Reiter that would strengthen our entire O-line as Corbett is our best guard and if we move him we have someone playing guard that is not as good as Corbett and we lose continuity on the line. Makes no sense to me why we do not sign Reitier and even more puzzling why we have not signed a RB to make up for losing Malcolm Brown our power back and now losing our number one back.

Mcvay trusted in two other lineman two years ago to be starters and neither of them worked out. Brian Allen was supposed to be the man at center...so I hope we are not making the same mistake over again.
I don't understand why are we not signing this guy. I mean is he that expensive? Just find a way to make it work. We need depth and actually he could be our center and leave corbet at guard. We know he plays well there.
