Three seasons after a draft has been concluded, then we can begin to assess whether it was a "failure" or a "success," but hardly before then... :o :P

Looks like a draft on the cheap to me....And a couple undrafted LB's in Moses and Fisher that would have been nice taking a feeler on

The guy was drafted in the 2nd round.

He was 14th among ROOKIE WRs in yards..

Jerry Rice would have trouble getting playing time with Woods and Kupp on the roster.
Ok, that's an exaggeration, but you get the point. :D

Woods and Kupp are good players. They aren’t great.

Reynolds is average.

So if you have a “very good” player that can’t make a mark in that rotation, then how can he be labeled “very good”?

If Van Jefferson is “very good”, then what’s Jordan Jefferson? A hall of famer? Jordan Jefferson put up 1400 yards.

VJ was a rookie wr playing behind two good wrs in Kupp and Woods. This is why drafts takes 3 to 4 years to grade. You have to give the young guys time to develop.

JJ is not the norm. That is why he got so much hype last year. His impact was similiar to that of Moss as a rookie. JJ wasn't on the board when the rams selected VJ.

Van Jefferson put up 220 yards his rookie year.

Here’s some actual rookie numbers just in our division alone:

DK Metcalf - 900 (He’s great)
Debo Samuel- 800 (He’s very good)
Christian Kirk- 590 (He’s average at best)
Andy Isabella- 189 (He’s trash)

I feel like I’m talking to a bunch of Kevin
Demoff ghost accounts. Anyone labeling Van Jefferson as “very good” is a joke. If you want to say “he didn’t play much so I’m not sure what we have yet” I’ll buy that. But leave the “very good” comments for guys that actually have proven they are very good. Bc lot of guys that put up
Van Jefferson rookie numbers end up trash.

VJ was injured some last year but I agree no one can say he is very good yet. He needs to prove himself IMO. I hope all of our WR's have better stats this year with Stafford at the helm.

VJ is an excellent prospect and should thrive with Stafford. Acceptable?
don't think you can tag him as an excellent prospect yet. I think he is in the wait and see mode this year. I think he will be better this year as long as he can stay healthy. we really don't know what they have with him yet IMO.

And who did Metcalf and Samuel have on the roster at their positions when they were rookies? Why do I not recall either having to wait behind caliber players like Woods and Kupp? Unreal how some of you come up with not the full story that you do in order to prove your stance. It’s like the rest of us don’t watch the league.

All Jefferson did last year when on the field was catch the ball and make plays. Rarely did he not catch what was thrown to him. I’d say that was “very good”.

Who is Jordan Jefferson? Do you mean Justin?

Is so let’s see they had Thielen and no one else who caught more than 20 passes last year. Everyone else at receiver for Minnesota wasn’t as good as Reynolds.

We can do this all day.............

Draft grades are not so perfect to say the least a day after the draft. The grades are just based on where they picked vs where these idiots think they should have been picked.

Agreed--especially for the guys selected in the 6th or 7th rounds, who are concerned about getting drafted at all.

"Welcome to the Los Angeles Rams!" :) 8-) :!:

For all the splashy support of Stafford, did the Rams not think at least one of their picks could've been spent up front? It's one thing to prioritize weapons over linemen when you've still got familiar faces in the trenches, from Andrew Whitworth to Austin Corbett to Rob Havenstein. How quickly we forget, though, that part of the reason Jared Goff is no longer in town is because he couldn't hold up behind the Rams' line. Of course, some of that was his own doing, but it's not as if L.A. couldn't have used added depth or competition. One of the keys to enabling Stafford's widely expected breakout here is keeping him upright, all the way into a potential playoff trip.

Seventh-rounders are seventh-rounders, but did the Rams really need to draft a third WR instead of taking a swing on a project at tackle? L.A. got some good value despite the early pick of Atwell, finding potential starters/gems in Rochell and Harris. But there's a reason they ranked dead last on Ryan Wilson's rundown of team draft classes: They reached a handful of times and failed to once address that front. Whether it's via trade or free agency, they'd be smart to explore summer additions to the line, if only to give Stafford some added comfort going into his first season -- an underrated high-pressure one -- as a Ram.
this has been my argument since the draft was over. you really need another play toy??? the articles I have read state the rams FO think they have plenty of young talented OL players therefore they don't need to add any additional help. Personally I would have drafted Humphrey, C, with our 1st pick instead of Atwell. I am on record stating next year, with free cap space, the Rams will be spending a lot of money on OL help. Just don't think this is a talented group.
