Bottom post of the previous page:

As for drafting a speedy WR, I would agree. The Rams have been drafting for a year or two out in anticipation of needs. This years drafts offers several super fast WR’s that can be had in mid-rounds.

F#%king waste of money. Whoever is doing the money management sucks!! No wonder we can't sign a decent veteran center of linebacker. This is just plain stupid.

The article goes off wrong information. D Jackson didn't get 4.5 base. He got 2.75 base

It was corrected by JR below

This article goes off of Mike incorrect tweet. D Jackson contract is 2.75 base and not 4.5. Jourdan reported the correct breakdown.

D Jack gets 5.8+ if he plays at least 50 percent of the snaps all 16 games and the team improves. ( D Jack has to be healthy all year)

He can get up to a extra million depending on how many games the rams win in the post season.

This contract carries no risk. No guaranteed money.

D Jackson only gets 4.5 if he plays 17 games. He can make even more for each game he plays more then 50 percent of the snaps

I don't thin it's too much. To hit them, he'd have to be healthy. If he's healthy? It'll be worth it.
the Raiders got John Brown for less. I would rather have JB vs Jackson. JMHO

Some do...I don't

I thought DJax would be one of the first guys McV went after when he was hired....so, no surprise to me they kicked the tires and liked what they saw.

When DJax is healthy AND his head is straight he has to be accounted for on the field.

IF...IF....DJax earns his 6 million then he would have earned it and nobody will be upset over the signing. This was a low risk high reward type of deal.

I see them picking a mid round speedster that needs a year or possibly 2 and DJax is the bridge because McV won't hesitate to use him but he won't throw a rookie out there unless he is forced.

Riders got john brown for less. I would have preferred him

If they grab a young WR/KR in the middle rounds he will compete with DJax. If he has a good camp or if Jackson gets nicked, they could go with youth.

It's possible DJax never plays a down for our LAR.

That's not gonna happen unless DJ is injured and can't play and all reports are he's 100% right now

Because he's not as good as DJ,,,,if healthy DJ changes the McV offense so IMO it was a low risk (monetarily) high reward type of 1 year signing.

If they draft a speed guy in the mid rounds he will sit, watch, and learn for a year....maybe return punts if he has good enough hands as I'm hoping they replace Webster this year.

Agreed--it would make no sense to sign the guy yet not play him, barring his being injured, of course... ;) 8-)

ram pathos...
