Good player, but I’m personally leery about signing RBs to big money deals like that. Especially ones with injury history. If I was a packer fan I would have much rather signed Linsley but that’s just me.

Shaq Barrett has 2 rings and could have gotten $20+ million per season. Tom Brady really has that affect.

Yup, he took less money. Hopefully the rams can find some guys who would take less.Faulk28allworld wrote: ↑March 15th, 2021, 9:28 am Shaq Barrett has 2 rings and could have gotten $20+ million per season. Tom Brady really has that affect.

Re: Free Agency Signing Thread (Non-Rams)
Just a morning rumor here..........
Niners are willing to go $20m per if not a bit higher in signing Trent Williams. It would make him top 3 paid at LT.
Please do Niners! 33 years old and I’m sorry IMO big risk in staying healthy an entire season.

Re: Free Agency Signing Thread (Non-Rams)
The niners went no where. Niners have a load of money to spend, im fine with them spending most of it on a 33 year old LT. Less money for other positions and depth.
If Trent was younger I would feel different, but 20 million, longterm deal on 33 year old tackle with past health issues? I could live with that.

Maybe its because they had 28 on the IR? That would probably have something to do with it...Cornell29 wrote: ↑March 15th, 2021, 10:24 amThe niners went no where. you are so spot on with that comment. they were ravaged by injuries last year.Faulk28allworld wrote: ↑March 15th, 2021, 10:59 amMaybe its because they had 28 on the IR? Pass catchers signing in their prime with teams with total voids at QB will never make sense to me.Mike Schad 1st Rd wrote: ↑March 15th, 2021, 10:21 am Patriots sign TE Jonnu Smith of the Titans. 4-50

Re: Free Agency Signing Thread (Non-Rams)
it's a step forward in the right direction for the Pats. they need talent on the offensive side of the ball. who knows maybe they go out and get a QB.D-GenerationX wrote: ↑March 15th, 2021, 11:17 amPass catchers signing in their prime with teams with total voids at QB will never make sense to me.Mike Schad 1st Rd wrote: ↑March 15th, 2021, 10:21 am Patriots sign TE Jonnu Smith of the Titans. 4-50

True and after spending 20 million a year on 33 yr old Williams they won't be able to replace those injured players, build depth and fill in the other holes on their ol.Faulk28allworld wrote: ↑March 15th, 2021, 10:59 amMaybe its because they had 28 on the IR? I am not questioning Williams talent but a long term deal for 20 plus million for a 33 year old tackle is fine with me. I do wonder if his play drops off once he gets his huge payday
Niner fans on their board are having a similar debate. He wants lots of $$$$$ and I'm glad. No discount for the niners.
More guaranteed longterm money they give Williams the harder it is for them to upgrade the qb position too.

Yes spend that huge money. Please give him 23 million long term deal.
Top LT yes, but 33 and no money for other needed players

The guy hasn’t played a full season since 2013. Not debatable. If you want to pay him that kind off money then I’m glad you are not our GM oc.

Me too
I can't see why a team would give Floyd as much per a year as Judon? Judon > Floyd. Judon has done it longer, Floyd just had one good year. There's no AD factor to consider with Judon like it is with Floyd.
If Floyd want Judon money, I'd pass if I was the rams.

Anyway we can get Floyd for 10-11m (never hurt n good at both run n pass) and Hill for 6-7 shorter deal? (Long will be fine replacement but depth is critical at CB).
