Rams have wins over the Texans, Colts, 9ers, Hags, Jags, Ravens and Bucs.
7 teams that all could be in the post season... with The Lions and the Hags (again), still to come.
Plus we outplayed and had the Eagles and 9ers (1st meeting), our only 2 losses, beat too...
That's not too shabby...

Karty made those last year. With that said, no harm keeping both until Chase and Mcvay knows for sure. They have to get the kicking game right, despite the cost of using 2 spots. If Mevis knock in a game winning kick, imo thats when Mcvay will move on from Karty. But right now, he hasn't seen him in a high pressure situation



52 yards with the defender in his face, right in the middle and a kick that would be good for 62? I don't remember....


Karty was a perfect 9 for 9 in the playoffs last year and even had some perfect games this year. You really have no accurate comparison until you see Mevis with the old LS that got cut. I'm willing to trust McVay and roll with Mevis but I'd like to see Karty clear waivers and make it to the PS and keep the heat on Mevis.

Personally, when I hear weather used in a post I think that's just an excuse....as far as I know both teams play in the same conditions.

The Rams were not able to stop them from running the ball and the consistently gave up 6-8 yard runs on 1st down

And I thought of that n certainly would want any n all playoff games at home. But under McVay n Stafford we both know not a must. See Tampa, needing to go to Az because of fire, and even the loss last year in Philly that no one, including probably me, would of said in a blizzard this SoCal team would have came that close…….

Puka got 15 targets today and Adams only 8. I don’t think it’s good offense to give Puka even more. You are going to wear him out and become predictable.

The issue with the WR corp isn’t Adams. He’s actually played better than I thought he would. It’s the non-existent 3rd guy or TE.


I'm sorry 8 targets and 3 catches is NOT playing well, especially not for a supposed number one receiver. Stafford is a locker at this point. Was with Kupp, then Puca, and now he's trying with Adams. Between the two they were the target of 23 of Stafford 33 tosses. At least Puka hauled in 11 of his 15 targets, his problem is he moves the chains, but doesn't pay it off. 6 TD's in 17 games as a rook, and 3 in the 14 games since. I realize the importance of moving the chains, but as often and he gets the ball, I just think he should be scoring more.

Even there though 15 targets to Puka 8 to Adams. Maybe Staff just has more confidence in Puka at this point, but if so STOP forcing to Adams

Nobody else got more than 3 targets.

Hopefully it's a getting used to each other thing cause Adams has hauled in just 13 of his 29 targets this season. Not acceptable in my mind. Career wise he's at 63%. Puka is in Kupp territory at 70.5%

As for "non-existent" third guy .. can't be much of a "guy" if you don't see the ball. Williams 3 targets 2 catches 18 yards. Whit 3 targets 2 catches *7* yards. Whit needs to be down the damn field. Atwell 3 games - 3 targets. Whit 3 games - 5 targets. At least he hauled in 4 for 49 yards

No doubt this was a straight up choke job by the Rams. Since 1984 they were 107-1 when leading by at least 19 points in the second half. :shock: I did see some silver lining from this game though:
-Barkley ran for over 400 yards in 2 games vs Rams last year. Signing Ford and Landman worked. He was a non-factor with 2.6/carry
-Even with both starting guards out, the Rams ran the ball well. Over 150 yards and over 5/carry average.
-With no Witherspoon(our only tall corner) I knew Brown would have a big game. Hopefully Witherspoon will be back come playoff time
-The run D also limited Hurts. He had 2 long TD runs against us last year. 40 yards and no long TDs was a big improvement
-Rams had the potential to hang a 50-burger on the Eagles. Red zone play calling(AGAIN!) and costly penalties derailed that

Now the head scratchers:
-Stafford picked a bad game to be woefully inaccurate
-McVay playcalling on third and short. Williams excels in short yardage, and Rams were running the ball well
-Eagles going to Brown because of our small CBs in second half. Why no safety help? especially on 2 third and longs. Make Smith beat you.
-Why no correction after the first blocked FG? No excuse for that second one.


Great points. It's very frustrating to watch a game like this one slip away. I hope it's a learning lesson and I also hope it doesn't become the deciding factor for home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I'd hate to play Philly there again in January.

Out of nowhere. Most of guys are JAGs. Also spent seconds on van jefferson and atwell. Puka incredible value obv.

I’ll throw in also we have to make the other teams offense one dimensional the rest of the season. This D has to stop the run, like they did today and didn’t do last week, and force the opponent into passing downs. D is in trouble if they allow big running games moving forward because I think we are limited in pass D which is rather obvious…….


Pooh was healthy enough to play alot of snaps this week, unlike against Carolina and all reports are he will be healthy next week, so that helps. With that said, I'm worried, one mistake and Gibbs takes it to the house. Rams secondary won't be able to hold. Rams must get pressure.


Stop Gibbs n get n Goff’s face period. Gibbs is the best back in the game you have to place top priority on him……

I feel we will keep him in check in the run game. Pass game is what concerns me……..

Offensively I think we will go up n down the field on them as long as Havs isn’t blocking Hutch. Their secondary continues to to be beat up n not very good this season…….

nobody complained more in the off-season than I did about not addressing the cb position, the center position and the linebacker position

by some miracle we may have found a linebacker, we didn't lose the game because of cornerbacks

We lost the game because of special teams and red zone offense

We ran the ball very well, really only let up one sack, Stafford played very poorly in the red zone, McVay coached very poorly in the red zone

I think we need Avila and Dotson to get healthy, we need to fix the kicking game blocking scheme and for me, I would put Limmer at Center even though he absolutely sucked at guard

We need a corner back and if we could find one during the season, that would be great, Forbes Jr does not look bad Kobie Durant is good, Williams is not

we have some work to do but that was a fluke loss that we win 9/10 times

Let me ask you this NC, if you were Snead... and your CAP is $307M and currently have $91M in CAP Space (see link below)... Stafford ALREADY accounts for $48.2M in 2026, so say we give him an additional $5-10M to make him a top 5 paid for '26? So, say we give him $10M, that leaves $81M in cap space.. I think we do what we have always done, and that is rework some current contracts to sign the guys we have to KEEP for next season, go after Corners, Center, Safety in draft... I’ll start by saying one team’s stupidity, AZ/Murray, Should not dictate what you do. That said………….

Absolutely I give Stafford that bump in pay if he wants it in 2026. How quick can I get the contract to you to sign…………

Higs is owed $2.1m next year whether he is on roster or he isn’t. He may just stay from where I sit because………….

Parkinson is a $7m cap savings if not here. You bet he has played well this year. But when you list all of your soon to be players that need to be extended, you don't want to lose #9, and why you drafted Ferguson well………..

$7m is $7M and if you cut Darius Williams, a $7.5m savings, then there is your $ for Stafford. And again you have Higbee, Ferguson, and Allen under contract…………

Havenstein is the same as Higbee. You have to pay him $6.9m to stay in 26 or you take the same cap hit if you cut him. 27? He is still a $2.8m cap hit if not on roster. You may have no choice but to keep him a a back-up in 26…………..

Adams and Dotson are both a big cap savings in 26 if cut. That being said they stay and I pay them if it was my call…………

Be interesting to see if Drake can keep this going... Stafford, been doing this for how many years and only improves each year... Drake, you have sometime to prove it... but so far, both QB's are OUTSTANDING.

Guess it goes to show, you can have a top QB, but if you stick that QB w a garbage coach, or a OL that sucks, or no help from RB's, OR an even worse OC and QB coach... well, who knows..

The game with Buffalo this weekend will give us more insight. NE has one of the easiest strength of schedule in the NFL. Although, Buffalo's defense has been very inconsistent.

Yea...that's a stupid rule....no way should the match be declared a tie if a player is injured....I think they should change that to one of the designated Vice Captains is an emergency fill in. They are all players themselves and should be ready to go only in the case of a withdrawl.

Young is really good
Puka has looked better than I expected (and always fun to watch)
Defense has started where they left off last year
Landman is probably the biggest surprise. (Not a pro-bowler, but much better than what we had last year.)
