  • December 1st, 2025, 6:54 am My take on what I witnessed at the game December 1st, 2025, 6:54 am My take on what I witnessed at the game
I was at the game yesterday and these are the things I witnessed yesterday, and many of them are very confusing and disturbing:

I sat in section 113 Row 1, so I was directly at the 40 yardline behind the Rams bench. So close, I could hear the coaches talking to the players.

First observation: Shula was NOT prepared nor did he have a proper game plan for the Panthers. He played (Raheem Morris) soft shell zone defense the entire game...First of all, Bryce Young is a 3 step drop back quarterback!! With our pass rush, no way in hell should you play a soft zone defense giving WR's a 5 - 7 yard cushion with a quarterback that's going to throw the ball that fast. This is why Young had so many completions. This is also why Carolina running backs had so much success in the flats.

Observation 2: Shula took Forbes out of his comfort zone yesterday basically forcing him to play zone defense when his strengths are clearly man coverage. Forbes has had success over the past 6 or 7 games because he played his style of football.

Observation 3: Whitterspoon is NOT in football shape yet!! There were several times he was on the field and missed tackles and was beat on several pass plays that Bryce Young did not see. They need to pump the brakes on Whitterspoon because he isn't ready and to be honest, he kinda messed up the chemistry the Rams secondary has had since he was out with that injury.

Observation 4: Sean McVay has NOT learned the simple basic traits of football in 9 years!! Every football game is different each week, and you have to adjust to what's working for you as each play of that particular play goes by....The Rams run game yesterday was absolutely clicking from the first carry. Kyren Williams and Blake Corrum was gashing the Panthers for 7, 8, 9 yards a carry, especially on first down, and McVay could not stand that as he just refuse to not be pass happy. Stafford should have had 0 ints yesterday if McVay would have just ran the football like it was no tomorrow. 3rd and goal at the 4 yardline should have been a run all damn day and if it fails, kick your field goal and get 3 points instead of an interception off a defenders helmet.

Observation 5: The weather yesterday was absolutely horrible. I sat there in a steady rain from mid first quarter until the end of the game. On top of that it was cold!! It was probably between 39 and 40° for the entire game. I remember hearing Avila telling the ground crew the sideline heaters aren't blowing much heat, and the grounds crew guy just shrugged his shoulders....That rain and cold alone was reason to run the crap out of the football, especially since it was working. If McVay would have run Kyren and Corrum 20 carries each, Rams win that game by 2 touchdowns!!

In closing, the Rams were humbled yesterday after bad coaching decisions from both McVay and Shula. Neither of them were prepared nor had a good game plan for the Panthers nor did they take consideration of the weather to construct a proper game plan.....on a good note, I got to meet and talk to Tory Holt yesterday as he came up to row 1 of my section (113) and talked to many fans for atleast 30 minutes and signed autographs. He signed my Rams hat and we took a picture together.

I hope the coaches learned something yesterday as we lost to a team that should have been blown out. These next 5 games need to be masterpieces starting with Arizona next week.

Thank you, as always very classy move. I’d actually peeled back a bit based on some posters behaviors. We are all entitled to to our own opinions but personal attacks based on differences showed levels of intelligence and maturity. To me the truest measure of character and intelligence is the ability to have a conversation with someone you disagree with, yet you respect his or her stance. Culture, education, exposure, and emotional intelligence all play a role.

This season sure feels a lot like 2021… and Matthew Stafford is on a special kind of burner.

Thank goodness today’s game didn’t rely on our defense… but my goodness, Matt is on a level like I’ve never seen before.

He’s hungry for a Super Bowl… Like ALL of us.

That no look pass was amazing today

We need to wrap him in bubble wrap (between games) till we win the Chip!

And whatever that silver trailer was used for at camp, KEEP IT ONSITE 24/7 at Rams head qtrs!

Rams were a non-call intentional grounding penalty from pitching a shutout. Mayfield was not outside of the box………

As others have said what a game by Forbes. What a month………….

Durant big plays in the 1st half………….

D is a very good tackling unit. Very good……………

Remember when this offense could not score in the RZ? Problem solved D.A.

Adams is a no brainer IMO in bringing him back next year…………..

McClendon has had 3 straight solid games in pass protection…………….

Mumfield can be counted on when called on……….

Mevis yep Mevis. Snead great find………….

It was nice seeing the opponent start a drive on their 20 after a kick-off. Can we now see more?………..

Let Rivers return punts. Not your RB1…………….

Offense is unstoppable if we had that one receiver that was a true threat deep…………..

I wouldn't mind seeing Hunter a bit as others have suggested…………

Make a list of QB’s who have started at least one game this year. And then ask yourself if you want Stafford here until he decides to retire at whatever it takes year to year to keep him. Even 2-3 years……………….

Rams did what they were suppose to do today. Unlike last week…….

Why McVay remains so damn stubborn at times to continue running the ball inside the RZ after driving the length of the field with mostly big run plays……..

McClendon is now Mevis IMO. He doesn’t get replaced……..

    Nacua just enjoy………..

    Run D was back today……..

What again was some saying about Corum in here just 2 weeks ago………..

How you allow the only 2 players on the other team that can beat you to continue making catches in the first half………

We saw the old ugly Witherspoon today. Not good………

JMO the only thing stopping this team other than the offense turning the ball over is this secondary. And the later can seriously end this season before the ultimate destination……….

    Landman another game making plays……..

Next 2 weeks is the season in regards to #1 seed n first round bye. Just how you want it after 13 games. Rams control their own destiny……..

Another wrinkle that McVay added with his new-found love of tight ends was lining up in the "I" formation to close out the Whiners when they ran the ball to try run out the clock. With a tight end lead blocking, Williams was getting great yardage when the Whiners knew the Rams were running the ball. Another great move by McVay. Nacua missing time may have just won the Rams another Super Bowl. Parkinson even had a great game, topping it off by recovering an on-side kick. Turd Ferguson is uncoverable by a LB down the seam. Higbee is being kept fresh, and Allen has been consistently good all season. 13 personnel has helped keep Stafford upright, and gives him a quick check-down if the opposing pass rush gets nasty. Go Rams!!!

Two huge wins last 2 weeks. Huge…….

Anyone ripping the offense is not giving Seattle’s D the credit they deserve. They are damn good……..

We did see that against a really good defensive front our OL is a bit of an issue……..

We were reminded again Havs can’t handle elite speed rushers………

Games like this Kyren needs to be THE RB……….

D bent didn’t break. We are not a fan of it but again a huge win………

4 TO to 1 TO. Big games that is usually the difference. Secondary got it done when they needed to……..

On to Tampa Bay. Another big game………

Division won’t be decided IMO until mid to late December…….

Rams KO scheme is again BS……..

    Rams have a heck of a punter…….

Offense yes is missing Atwell a bit. Or someone who can stretch the field…….

    Two things:

    1) I think it is bad mojo to sit healthy guys, unless the final seed is locked up. Even then you could argue the benefit of it. I think it brings a fear / playing not to get hurt vibe that I want no part of, and stunts team cohesion.

    2) How long have you been watching this club? (no offense, I know you are a legit fan) We are capable of losing to ANY team on ANY week - the 2020 loss to the 1-13 Jets comes to mind. We've already GIVEN away two NFC games. We can't mess around.

  • October 9th, 2025, 10:22 am Ravens fan checking in October 9th, 2025, 10:22 am Ravens fan checking in
Good morning, Rams followers. I'm a long-time Ravens fan, stopping by to learn about your team's current situation and hopefully providing some perspective on the Ravens' implosion.

It's interesting to visit the forum of a successful team and see the threads calling for coaches/GM to be fired, players to be benched/cut/traded, etc. I realize that your team isn't operating at peak efficiency, but it will be more than enough to take care of business Sunday. The Ravens look like a team that is ready to give up, and it's possible that the HC has already lost the locker room.

The Ravens offense is built with the expectation that Lamar's wizardry will mask its deficiencies in the O-line and (until recently) the WR group. When he's out, it gets ugly, to the tune of 15 or more points per game, on average. This year, the OL is even worse, and it won't take much for you to bottle Henry up and force the backup QB into bad decisions.

On defense, I'll throw out two facts: first, the team is on pace to break the record for points allowed in a season, although the schedule gets much easier after the bye, so they may avoid that fate. Second, in three of the first five weeks, the offensive player of the week has been the QB who played against the Ravens. Yes, they have injuries, but they were bad when they were healthy. They can't stop the run or the pass. They gave up 44 to a Houston offense that was averaging under 20. The DC is in so far over his head that he's turned 2023 first team All-Pro Kyle Hamilton into a JAG. Changes are hopefully coming, possibly including Harbaugh, but not in time to save this season.

The spread is at 7.5 only because it's still remotely possible that Lamar will play, and because a tropical storm is supposed to hit Baltimore Sunday. Without those factors, the Rams covering would be the surest bet of the year.

I don't see any rules about not being able to talk about Delmar's mom. I am IN. ;-)

On a serious note, I apologize if I let the conversation with "you know who" get out of hand. I know I am not considered the best RAM fan here, but I did not like someone questioning my loyalty to this team. I have not been a Rams fan for 30+ years, and I can't name every single Ram HOFer, but I do cheer for them every week and somehow avoid cardiac arrest during the games. I don't think it should matter WHY I cheer for this team, but that I actually cheer for them with my heart and soul. EVERY player, not just one. I guess I understand why I am still an "outsider", but I appreciate you allowing me to be part of the group. I will probably minimize my posts/comments going forward, but I will continue to come here for the news, updates, and listen to the healthy banter.

Glendora thanks for everything you do. I hate that someone had to be banned and I hope it was not my fault. I could have easily just ignored them going forward.

Honestly....I couldn't give a crap what led you to rooting for the Rams.....Some started because they loved the thick horns on the helmet. They no longer have them yet they still root. Some started out of loyalty to location...The team moved to StL and they stayed then they moved back to LA and brought new fans with them from the Lou. Sure some fans were lost but others were added and now the team is gaining traction out West.

I joined because I loved the colors...they have now changed a couple of times but I'm still here.

I say...let's leave the past behind and get back to Football and not the BS of "you're not a real fan"....how can anyone claim to be the judge of who is a real fan and who is a rental?

The worst that could come out of this is you pulling back due to a bully tactic from some words on a screen. You bring alot of really good insights to this forum that will be missed and some weird but funny humor....don't allow that to happen...stand up to the bullies and start tapping that keyboard

    https://x.com/nfl/status/1997815617840361488?s=46&t=vjeWgw7Qql8L1OjAFm3Fbg

    From Rams Wire:
Against the Cardinals, he had runs of 14 yards, 17 yards, 18 yards and a knockout blow of 48 yards. On those four carries alone, he had 97 yards.

To put those big plays into perspective, Williams only had six runs of 17-plus yards on 316 carries last season. Corum had four on just 12 carries Sunday.

On his 48-yard touchdown run, he really showed off the wheels. He hit 21.29 mph, which made him the second-fastest ball carrier in the NFL this week. Wyatt Miller noted he’s the second-fastest ball carrier on the Rams all year, too.

Fact is, we can't be playing soft zone D's or prevent against these guys. We do at the end of every half, depending on the score sometimes for extended periods of time. Speed up rotations and try to pressure the Hags O all over the field for most of the 60 minutes.
Shut them the F down. Every team is going to make plays, that's a given. Make it harder for them, make them earn their yards.
We know everything they do is off the dink and dunk passing. Stop giving them room at the LOS. Knock their speed guy on his can right there before he gets going. Darnold will have nothing but checkdowns and if we tackle, they won't get much. Give the O a Chance to build a lead!

WTF happened to that kind of football. Today it's play soft so they don't score on 1 play. Give up more yards and points in the last 8 minutes then you did the first 52, while the O players on the other team are fattening up their stats at the same time... and then both demand more $$$$.
I remember a certain game the Hacksaw, Youngblood, Dryer, Brooks, Cromwell version of the Rams D had @ Seattle, in the Kingdome I believe it was against the Hags Jim Zorn, Sherman Smith and Steve Largent era, and we shut them out. Held them to -29 yards for the game or something like that. Negative total yards. Never see that again. Commish will have better details of that game, he usually does...

$53 mil a year will hurt, especially when they find out he's only slightly above average. He's not exactly durable either and at 25 has had 3 injuries to his throwing arm. The Niners had to do it but let's see how he does without Dweeb-o and Aiyuk. Also, CMC, Trent Williams, and Kittle are breaking down. Their defense will probably take a step back from last year too.

In total agreement with this. IMO, he is slightly better than average. $53M is awesome and what’s even better, how much of it is guaranteed

This is a decision that could hurt the Niners for years. As I was texting w Brooklyn on this, he had a good point though… what was the other option for the Niners?.

    They had none.

If they didn’t extend Purdy, and they do bad this year, Shanny and Lynch would be looking for new jobs. But if they extend him, and do average, but not great… Shanny and Lynch live to see another season.

I’m just so glad we’re not stuck in a decision like this, where we’d be forced to sign a Purdy type QB, PLUS That’s a ton of money they committed…

Of course Purdy could do great, and I do wish him all the best (ok, not really) but I think the Niners will be the new Fisher Ball Rams… lots of 8-9 or 9-8 seasons. Maybe have a 10-7 season, or even make the playoffs one season, who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Rams just need to focus on pressuring Purdy and stopping the Run. We beat them every time when we do this.

NFCW is our Divison to lose.

    Capitalism = greed.

Socialism or communism = poverty for all.
Anything the government “gives” you will be used to control you. Grow dependent on the government and you automatically become a slave and lose your personal freedom.
