December 20th, 2025, 9:33 am Re: are the rams soft December 20th, 2025, 9:33 am Re: are the rams soft
We are all fans for sure - but - minimizing the issue of a warm weather team blowing HF advantage & heading on the road to cold poor weather destinations and expecting to prevail is unrealistic. 7th seed from where we were (30-14 @ 8:46 mark) possible top seed is HUGE as is the loss of our top IOL. Cannot minimize what we blew - of course you battle forward - but it was a colossal choke with serious implications and the reality of a short post season run after an MVP season from our 37 year old future HOF QB. Just a very rare and disappointing ending staring us in the face. Not being a downer but a realist. - 1 Been thanked

October 8th, 2025, 8:44 pm Re: Rams favored by 7 @ Baltimore ??? October 8th, 2025, 8:44 pm Re: Rams favored by 7 @ Baltimore ???
Good for WHAT? You think this bitch talking down about everybody is a """GOOD POST""" Really JS???
No I did not see this post as taking everyone down. What I do think is some fans are quick to go negative and jump ship. In the first quarter last week someone I forget who said "they were out, and we're going to watch Gilligan Island?" The first quarter! The Rams were in multiple positions to win game. I am not so naive to think the Rams are a good team above reproach. Criticisms is due to everyone on the team for how Rams have played. The issue I have it is the first quarter and fans are over the top negative and critical. And Rampager I am not saying this is you.
I know you aren't bro... And I agree that's just how some fans are... You can't dictate how others display their fandom.... And I don't get how that kind of BS unifies the fanbase. They are after all the ones who Financially and emotionally support the team and should be allowed to voice their displeasure w/o needing someone else's permission. BTW, the guy you're agreeing with, who doesn't like people saying this player, coach or manager needs to go when they screw up, the one who thinks this shit is up to them, at the end of his rant about this says.... "but the kicker needs to go" and you're in essence saying that you're ok with that kind of hypocrisy? We 're all sickening when we do it though... hmmmm. - 1 Been thanked

I have mixed feelings on this. No doubt Ramsey would shore up the secondary, but, I would prefer to move on to the future and develop our own lockdown corner.
Plus, the cap implications would be huge.
What are your thoughts?
I with you here. I wonder if Ramsey's still hungry for it now that he's older, paid and has a ring. A young up and coming prospect would probably be more hyped and not playing for stats and ego as much ... yet! - 1 Been thanked

I mean- this guy is getting paid millions to do 2 things. Kickoffs and FGs. If he cannot separate his squib from his FG, that's a problem. Sounds stupid to me and not a real reason. That's like saying a golfer cant hit a PW because he is swinging differently on his drives.
I still blame ST coach- who last I checked was still here (amazing). Teams now smell blood and will go after each kick. Shitty protection must be addressed. - 1 Been thanked

I am very happy with where the Rams are as an organization, but there are plenty of bad roster moves too. They trade Ernest Jones for a sixth and a few weeks later the Titans trade him for a 4th is another example. How many times have they cut Reeder and Rozenboom only to bring them back? Robert Woods and Van Jefferson, each for a 6th....
they have done a great job with the draft but their FA moves and trades not so much
I agree that some of the contract/FA stuff has been head-scratching. But show me an organization that has nailed every aspect of roster management and salary cap. It's what makes the NFL so dang interesting. And I love that LA is willing to roll the dice (Miller, OBJ, Ramsey) rather than just sit back and be analytical and safe.
It DOES seem like they have learned some lessons along the way as well. Cooper Kupp being in Seattle right now is exhibit A. Overall - I wouldn't trade seats with just about any fan base at this point, other than maybe KC and Philly. - 1 Been thanked

Looks like the Cards were only interested in winning in the 1st half, and have surrendered. They'll be picking 3rd now since the Titans won.
And who knows maybe the Giants and Jets will try to win a game and ARI picks 1st, again. So grateful pappa wasn't a Card fan! - 1 Been thanked

October 11th, 2025, 4:26 pm Re: Colin on Goff - Stafford October 11th, 2025, 4:26 pm Re: Colin on Goff - Stafford
No, no, no… you’re using the overall grade for both players, and Shelton has a better overall grade because of his run blocking. I’ll go with the pass-blocking grade and my eye test, because yes — I watch the Lions. You’re not the only one who does.
Shelton is terrible in pass protection — hence his awful score of 44. Glasgow is pretty good in pass protection — hence his 73.
The eye test tells me the same thing: Stafford deals with pressure up the middle all the time, while Goff does not. Sorry but regarding PASS PROTECTION for the QB , Glasgow is not just better but MUCH better than Shelton. Case closed . Don't care about run blocking or overall score , that is not what we are talking about here . Now , we can talk about the rest of the o line and compare them but center ? not a chance. Also , it is not too hard to come up with the stats for the o line rankings for the past 3 years . I wouldn't be surprised if Goff had a top 5 or top 10 o line every year while stafford maybe a bottom 5 , or bottom 10 lol .mcsnead is McVay is notorious for neglecting the offensive line.
Goff has become a great player, but every time people compare him to Stafford, the quality of the O-line needs to be a big part of the conversation.
The Rams have invested in the oline just fine. Outside of Center we have average to abve average players and even Shelton isn't terrible.
Tomorrow the Lions will be starting a 3rd string LT and a rookie RG and a first year starter at LG. And I bet they still have a better functioning offense than the Rams.
The irony is its looking more and more like Stafford was the one who needed everything "perfect" not Goff.
They both need a lot of support around them since neither is a mobile QB. In my opinion, the Lions understand that much better than the Rams — they’ve heavily invested in their offensive line and even in the running game. Gibbs is a first-round pick, while all of the Rams’ running backs were drafted in the mid rounds. Last year, the Lions’ running game was so dominant that they won games where Goff threw the ball only about a dozen times. Overall, over the past three years, Detroit’s offensive talent has been much stronger.
They have Gibbs / Montgomery we have fumbling machine KY. They have laporta we have highbee ( lol), they have a better o line ( usually at least)....... Ok we have puka but that is about it and st brown is almost as good as puka. So we have a better wr1 and they have better everything else. - 1 Been thanked

So from that bracket, in a Perfect world, the Rams, 9ers. Bears. win the WC round.
Divisional Round - Rams @ Bears, 9ers @ Hags...Rams, 9ers Win
Conference Final - 9ers @ Rams! Rams Win. No SB home game for SF.
SB Rams win! In a Perfect world...

October 28th, 2025, 10:53 pm Re: Dodger's-Blue Jays October 28th, 2025, 10:53 pm Re: Dodger's-Blue Jays
Vesia made the WS roster, but he had to leave for a family emergency. His wife was due to deliver their child and it sounds like something went wrong.
Roberts is blowing it by starting Pages, game after game. Pages hadn’t hit since late August. In the 18 inning game, if Pages had gotten on base even one time, this game would have been won in regulation. Ohtani had gone 4 for 4 all extra base hits. Yep, Pages not on base.
The obvious answer to this is to play Edman in CF and Rojas at 2B but Roberts is too stubborn to make the adjustment. Treinan has no business being in any of these games unless the team is up by 5 runs or more, and even then, he’s on a short leash. Roberts just keeps trotting him out there.
I hope someone over Robert’s head makes the decision to bench Pages and send Treinan home.
I realize Pages sucks right now, but Muncy is no better 0-7 in the 18 inning game. Has shown little power all season
The Dodgers may well have blown the series at the trade deadline when they declined to find a bat to put in the middle of the lineup, or up to protect Ohtani.
Let's face facts, they got this far on the their starters over the last month of the season and through the playoffs. Eventually the law of averages catches up and it seems to have done so now. Snell stunk, of did Glasnow and Ohtani gave up 4. If he hadn't just pitched, I would honestly have considered Roki. He's going to be a starter next season.
If Ohtani is not hitting, they have nothing, and they don't have anyone at the bottom of the order getting on to make Ohtani's booms count. For all the hype about their farm system, they can't find a good bat to bring up, and Friedman failed, so their bench is much like the Lakers bench, pretty much useless
nobody is hitting besides Ohtani. Freddie gets a hit once in a while but everyone else sucks. it's crazy to think about what I am going to say but this team has to do some heavy thinking in the offseason with this lineup. People that watch this team on a regular basis know that Mookie and Muncy have sucked ass all year. And if you listen to Dodger talk they have been saying all year that Mookie is playing for his existence on this team for 2026. Granted nobody is going to assume this massive contract but he is just downright awful. The left side of the INF has to be addressed. Put him back in RF. The pitching has been go good the hitting has been ignored but it can't be ignored anymore. JMHO - 1 Been thanked

Congrats on the win. I’m kind of pissed that the Rams let it stay close; I was hoping to see our DC get fired during the bye week. We can’t have nice things this year. 😄
If you need an NFC team to root for in the playoffs come on back (if we make it which I think we will.)
Oh, you'll make it. I'd like to see Rams vs. Lions in the NFC championship. I'm surrounded by obnoxious Eagles fans (yes, that's redundant), so the sooner they're out, the better. - 1 Been thanked

And the Rich Brooks era...and the Joe Vitt era...and the Scott Linehan era...and the Jim Haslett era...and the Steve Spagnolo era. I won't include the John "Bones" Fassel era (0-3) in my lawsuit because I just like the guy so much.
Did you know the Rams were 64-135 between 2005 and 2016? That is emotional suffering if there ever was such a thing. And yet...I still watched every week.
This is what I call 'The Rams Dark Ages'... and yep, I watched it it too... long decade it was.
Everything changed when 3 things occurred (in this order):
1. Got a good owner.
2. We became the LOS ANGELES Rams again, back to our rightful home.
3. Snead traded the planet to get Goff

That Division is terrible this year w/o Baltimore not being competitive. The Division winner may not get to 10 W's.
I think the entire league is wide open this year... I mean, I see about 8 teams that have legit spots at winning it all this season... Have not seen it like this in years.
Panthers will be 4-3 if they beat the Jets this weak... They'd be 1 game out of 1st in the NFC south if TB loses @ Det. No one expected that! - 1 Been thanked

I know we started slow last season that was based on two factors. First and foremost injuries derailed us and the youth getting up to speed was another factor. We don't have the youth getting up to speed outside of Poona and Devante' and both are super pros it is essentially the same team. And limited injuries we will get off to a fast start. - 1 Been thanked

The reason for the original post is that it didn't appears that he was out there much. He showed up big time today and loved to see it.
I think it has to be the injury. Another week of rest should have him back in prime shape to help this team make a SB run.

Does every QB have a blooper reel? Of course...
BUT.....whats so interesting about Purdy, is that he had a season that was lights out. Then, started to turn average once Defenses figured him out the next season.. THEN when he gets really figured out... his team ended the season at 1-7 last year. Sure, there were some injuries, but Purdys stats in those games was average (AT BEST).
SO imo, this guy will carry the niners to be a solid .500 ball club. I like Purdy, but we are so BLESSED we didnt have to make this decision and hes not a Ram. - 1 Been thanked

October 22nd, 2025, 8:59 pm Re: Rams D + Stafford = Magic 😎 October 22nd, 2025, 8:59 pm Re: Rams D + Stafford = Magic 😎
Stats are stats. Baltimore without Lamar is an awful offensive team. There’s a reason even a bad team like the Texans blew them out without him in the game. SF was missing a bunch of starters and had their backup QB in. Jacksonville is a bottom 1/3 offensive team.
The Eagles for whatever reason are poor on offense this year. Saquon is a shell of himself
When you’ve played 7 games, and only 1 game vs a top
10 offense with a healthy QB, your numbers should be good.
I'm a bigger believer in PPG than yards, personally
And you're right stats are stats. And the Rams are 2nd in PPG allowed until they no longer earn the right to be. Not all teams are playing elite teams week in and week out. As of now the Rams are 17th in stregth of schedule.
Sure, I can agree they need to keep it up vs the better teams. But I also won't punish them for doing what they are supposed to do and what many predicted they could do.
The statement should be "past stats are past stats".
You dont get bonus points for having a highly ranked defense, or offense. The only stats that are important is "how did you do in today's game".
The Rams lost to the 9ers because they couldn't stop a backup QB and the #3 and 4 Wrs.
They lost to Philly because the offense couldn't put them away and the defense couldn't make a play in the 2nd half.
Perfect example. The Browns are a top 2 ranked defense. They'll be sitting at home for the playoffs.
And now some geek has come up with EPA??? Good God! Thats as fictional as WAR is in baseball! - 1 Been thanked

I said it 100 times before and I’ll say it again. The decision makers in St. Louis at the time are the only ones to blame for them coming back to LA period. They were so desperate in getting the NFL back that they sold their soul on the binding contract on the contractual obligations they had in upgrading the dome to the level that was in the contract and binding when it was time. They never thought Kroenke would call them on it. There was no “yes but” in that contract and that was proven when Kroenke won when it went as far as it did in court.
A smart business man in Kroenke put the mandatory dome upgrades in contract and called them on it period. He had every right to do so which will never ever be acknowledged by those in St. Louis……………. - 1 Been thanked
