What is this fascination with flag football? I mean seriously, who gives a rats ass about it, especially as an Olympic sport? The Olympics are becoming performative art rather than sports. I mean seriously, Flag foot ball, breakdancing, rhythm gymnastics, synchronized swimming?? Not what I would call sports


I think I like synchronized swimming over flag football. At least it has been around a long time...and those women are very athletic. I am pretty impressed by what they do. I don't understand curling at all.


Curling at least has been around for ever. Flag football? Just a game we played in Phs-ed to put all kids on a level playing field.

Given what the market was for Rodgers at his age and the contract he just signed (just 1 year), the Rams massively overpaid for Stafford’s 2026. Just makes that deal even more questionable.


These established 38+ year old QBs should be getting average to below average year to year money. So the Steelers deal from a cap perspective makes sense.

Two totally different issues here, Truth. Yes, you’re correct that they are older QB’s, but that’s it. There is no othet comparison beyond that.

This latest dilemma is why I preferred to grab the best OT available in the 2nd round as opposed to obtaining a nifty TE.

Stafford must be protected at all costs this season; hope we have the horses in our stable to get the job done.

Does everyone realize Shelton is a top 10 center? Not sure where the criticism is stemming from. He’s very solid and plays smart - he’s intuitive, athletic and plays with purpose. The coaches and teammates love him - he’s gotten two game balls already! So no, I don’t think he’s a weak link or an issue. I think it’s people not fully grasping the nuances of this complicated position on the line that clamor for change. Shelton is here for a while


Shelton can run block but he can't pass block. This was already debated and I posted his pff grades. There is actually a thread about this.

Yup- and Limmer can also run block, but can't pass block for shit. Would be nice to land a guy who can do both. We have now tried Avila, Jackson, Shelton, Limmer all at C. Nobody has been a lock and a career Ram C. Limmer seemed it until he didn't...and boy he doesn't right now. Back to the draft board.

Tucker wasn’t good at all in 2024. Lowest FG % of his career @ 73.3 and missed two extra points to boot. If we were watching Ravens games last year this was talked about a lot………….

Shades of the Von Miller acquisition. He played a huge role in our SB win. I'm assuming TJ wants a title and if he wants to come here, he must think we're close. We we're 1 offensive play from the SB last year. He needs to make it worth our while AFAIC or it's a hard pass for me.

Overall defense...check!
Coaching.....check!

Special teams is our only true real flaw.

I agree here and disagree with the writer who suggested this might be Staff's last year.
You retire when you stop being effective and having success and that's not Staff right now.
If they win it all, (or even lose in the SB), I'm seeing Staff keep playing and trying for the back to back rings!

Some of us have a question we would like you to answer:

The Los Angeles Rams have only lost two games over the first nine weeks of the season, but the way they're losing is more than concerning. In week 9 we are in the exact same spot. In 2025 we are in the exact same spot as 2023. This is not getting better so make drastic changes before the playoffs.

The problem is that blocking for place kicking is failing miserably. These two losses in 2025 can be directly traced back to the failure of blocking schemes whenever kicker Joshua Karty takes the field. All of this is no surprise as all of this can be traced back directly back 2023 where the Rams had a historically bad special teams unit.

Although Chase Blackburn’s unit improved in the final month or so of that season. as of January of 2024 the Rams had the sixth lowest Defense-Adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA) not just in the league, but of all time. Yes-all time in the history of the NFL records. This DVOA was 3 times worse then the 31st ranked special teams unit the Patriots, Sean why did you keep Chase Blackman after this historically bad performance? I thought you hold people accountable-maybe this is the players not "your" coaches.

The Achilles heal of this team is special teams going all the way back to 2023 when Chase Blackburn was in charge. -why have you not taken drastic steps to improve it?

The only reason they have a shot at the playoffs is their schedule. The weakest in the NFL. But even that may not be enough. I doubt Aiyuk will be a factor at all this season. If he returns mid season he'll need time to get in football shape. And there is no guarantee he'll ever be anything close to his 2023 version. After missing most of camp last year he averaged about 3 and a half catches and 53 yards per game in 7 starts before the injury. Zero TD's. Sure looks like he wasn't in prime shape through six and a half games.

MCCaffrey says he feels good. Yeah, ok. They all say that this time of year. Highly unlike he'll be anything like his 2023 version. Some in SF are speculating his achilles problem is chronic. He feels good now. But will it last? Purdy needs a prime McCaffrey to succeed. Without him he's more like a middle of the road game manager. He does play in a QB friendly system. But without the all pro talent around him things won't be easy. Especially for a guy who's basically a game manager.

Defense could be a problem too. They lost a lot of good players to free agency. Floyd, Hufanga, Greenlaw, Ward, Hargrave. They were pretty bad defending the run and they're planning on a couple rookies to improve it. That's always a risk relying on first year guys.

This team is nowhere near the talent it had in 2022 and 2023. The core is aging and injury prone. Offensive line was a problem and they did nothing to improve it. They need to be almost 100 percent healthy across the board to have a chance at playoffs. A difficult ask.

Their season will come down to McCaffrey. When he was with Carolina, he never played 16 games. He had a stretch for a couple of years where he avoided injury. I expect them to give him the ball a lot so he could wear down faster at his age.


I think we tried to trade for him and I often wonder what our offense would've been like with CMC. I hate him because he's a Niner but he would've been a poor man's Marshall Faulk.

My frustration is with the system and the extremes that have become norms. The numbers—be they for players (Deshaun Watson?), owners, actors, CEO’s, and others—can be insane. I’m not saying we need to go back to when Wilt Chamberlin needed to work summers as a bell hop in the Catskills. That was crazy too. It’s just that the extreme numbers should not be norms. Things in general are very out of whack.

Exactly. As I said in another post, this is probably the deepest team I've ever seen. We could keep 6 WR's 3 RB's and use Shrader at a KR/RB4.

Good question. Covey played a lot so he's definitely fighting for a spot. Maybe he's the KR/PR and we keep 6WR. Pressley, Stoops, Mario Williams, Edwards, might take 2 more spots on the PS. If there's an injury Stoops might squeak onto the 53. They always seem to have an Austin Trammell/JJ Koski/Landon Akers hovering around the 53.

Last year in the playoffs Darnold had this Line Against the Rams D... in a 27-9 Rams win!

25-40, 245 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.... BIG stat. Rams sacked him 9 times for 82 yards lowering the Passing yards total to 163.
And Jared Verse had none of the 9 sacks. NONE! Rams won easy. So they do have a blueprint on how to disrupt him.
Whether or not they can push the Hags O-Line around like they did the Vikes that game remains to be seen. We'll see on SNF!

We literally have handed Sean some below to average talented teams, yet, he's been able time and time again to dig down and find the best out of each dude or they are gone. He turns careers around (see Baker Mayfield and about 30 other players).
