Emotions and past history aside. Its a very valid question.

I think we will definitely lose at least one more game.. The one game that worries me is the Falcons. feels like another Jets/Cardinals game potentially...

We have to stay positive though.. this is a really good team and McVay usually bounces back after a hard loss.


For all the doom and gloom that I have read on this forum all week, you would think the Rams are 3-9 opposed to 9-3. Sheez.

Been a Rams fan since 1963; this loss ripped my backbone out. I need to see some tangible consequences from these unmitigated chronic disasters on Offense, Defense, and STs.
Let's put some players on the field that want to get it on. No friggin excuses; we play for keeps in the NFL. Tackle the ball carrier--no whiffs; punish defenders and protect the ball when wracking up YAC; for Christ sake, extra points/FGs should be automatic, replace weak links; protect our aging QB.
Time for some new faces on our 53. Don't piss the season away.

Stafford throws a tougher ball to catch than Rodgers is my explanation for that. If you look at most of Stafford’s throws he throws it fast into tight windows. Some other QBs put more touch on the ball


Stafford made bums like Kenny Golladay and Eric Ebron look good, ok receivers like Marvin Johnson and Golden Tate look like stars, Kupp Puka and Megatron are in the record books, and now he throws a "too hard to catch" ball? WTF!
If you don't like him fine, but don't try to find silly reasons to put the blame on him!

When he misses Adams it's by a mile and it's 100% on him, but most of the balls Adams drops are totally catchable, Puka would probably catch 80% of thoses drops

The reason for the original post is that it didn't appears that he was out there much. He showed up big time today and loved to see it.


I think it has to be the injury. Another week of rest should have him back in prime shape to help this team make a SB run.


Agreed, he is improving as the season progress. Had one of his best games yesterday

Sunday IMO comes down to stopping the best RB in the game and getting in Goff’s face……………

If D doesn’t find a way to keep Gibbs in check then Rams will probably lose. I think we will have a solid game against the run against him. Pass game we will see……………

Rams are a fringe playoff contender. People thinking they’re elite need a reality check. I thought they were better than this. They were 10-7 the last two years. Maybe the same this year. Might not get them in the playoffs. Either way they’ll be in the 4-7 range of playoff teams. Secondary is piss poor and they failed to do anything about it. Their run D is better because they attempted to improve that unit. IOL hasn’t improved. Not sure where Avila is. Kicking game has been an abomination. Running backs are average. Stafford has been very good last couple weeks and more receivers are getting involved.

They’re 3-2 so the season can go in any direction, but last night was a gift from the scheduling gods. They blew it. They blew a big lead in Philly. They beat 2 teams that are 1-7 and got lucky against Indy. 3-2 is prob what they are.

If rams are legit, go win next 3 games. They’re going to get a beat up Balt team, Jax who aren’t anything special in London and home against saints. 6-2 going into Niners rematch. They go 1-2 or something, they’re done.

Last night game was demoralizing on many different levels. Utter garbage that makes you reset expectations.

If this is true, and Stan sells, this would be a good guy to take his place. But like Sanbags stated, Stan is a buyer, not a seller. Plus, the NFL is so profitable, cant see why Stan would sell, unless he needs the cash to buy something else... Plus, he has that entire sports park for the Rams home hes also building...

While I hate signing guys too early, like we love to do... Im ok w this contract. I was fearful we'd go and do another Gurley deal. This is nowhere near that contract. We can trade him w little loss if we have to go that route next season. $11M per for 3 seasons, is not bad at all for RB #1. And if the dude fumbles, expect the Rams to eat that $23M and send him walking by next season.

Kyren, you asked, Rams gave... now do your part and hold onto the damn rock and lead our RB room.

JMO but the best schedule is all 17 on Sunday with a 1:25pst kick-off. Never will happen but best scenario for your team. I could care less if we play on the prime time games.

I've been thinking this over, Rams might not make a move.

CB - D Will is playing well, Forbes looks better, Durant been solid and Spoon is returning. Is there a huge upgrade available that's not only worth the salary pickup but the draft capital as well? In the past, the Rams in this situation, traded for Ramsey, and he wasnt cheap. I doubt the Rams go this route again. I dont see a Ramsey upgrade being available, unless the Rams overpay big time. I would love for the rams to add a true nickel corner but Lake plays that spot alot, so I doubt the rams add anyone there.

Front 7? There's been a few times when the Rams have had trouble generating pressure but for the most part they have been the strength of the D and once they get going, the sacks come in clumps. I doubt the Rams add anyone to the front 7. Anyone that is good enough to start on the rams front 7 won't be cheap.

OL - Would love a upgrade to Shelton, but is there a huge upgrade at center available? Will Mcvay risk swapping out the center while the rams OL is trying to build chemistry? Earlier I was thinking RT, but Mclendon has looked solid at RT and Rams have other options already on the team.

Wr, te, qb and rb position is deep nothing to add there.

Kicker? I doubt it, Karty knocked in all his extra points and the rams seem to think the squid kicks was part of the problem, and the ol not blocking the other.
Personally I would just fire Chase, but I doubt it happens.

Can not be any more appreciative to his approach to coaching. He really stayed calm at the end with the near calamity. I think that he is getting even better over time.

Well, he was only targeted 3 times, and as I recall, outside the top guy who had 13, nobody else HAD more than 3 targets. So .. maybe he has lost a step, and that might be the reason for the targets .. but when one guy gets 13 and nobody else has more than 3 .. I'd say it's a bit difficult to evaluate their potential impact, jmo

Personally, I'd like to see him have a good year, I have nothing against him. He did well for us, including a season for the ages. If he struggles, so be it, anyone who hangs around long enough eventually will, but I think I'll give him more than 3 targets before I pass judgement

lol you are right , I was still thinking about the first 5-6 games of the season , it was basically a heart attack every game . But yes , after that , outside seattle , we have been winning without much stress. Hopefully this sunday is the same . Still can't believe we lost to the panthers



I think at the end of the day the Panther defeat, when we look back could end up being a positive.
We found out a few things about our Defense and that Staff is indeed human!
5 more weeks to make the necessary adjustments and get it right before playoffs.

We're 7-3 vs current playoff teams with Detroit and Seattle still to come.
3/4 of our sched was vs contenders. Talk about SOS!
And we left enough points on the field in all 3 losses to be 12-0!
We are 2nd to the Hags in Point Differential and despite concerns with the D, I remain very optimistic going forward.

We’re stout against the run — but only when Ford is out there. And since he plays about 90% of the snaps, we’re solid against the run roughly 90% of the time.

Against the pass, though, it’s a completely different story. We’re not even average — we’re just plain bad. And that’s the thing: points per game allowed isn’t the only stat that matters.

A defense that lets the opponent drive up and down the field and can’t get off the field for long stretches keeps its own offense stuck on the bench. Even if you limit them to field goals because you’re strong in the red zone, if you’re allowing 8–9 minute drives to get there, you’re still killing your own offense’s rhythm.

I think it was against Carolina when they held the ball for something like 13–14 minutes in the third quarter. (Okay, that was largely because Ford was on a limited snap count, so they could run the ball — but still.)

As for generating pressure, yes, it matters — but not as much as actually finishing plays with sacks, and we don’t get home enough. We’re ranked #9 in total sacks with 37, while the Broncos lead the league with 58. That’s not bad (top 10), but it’s also not that impressive.

I was expecting much more from Verse and Fiske, especially Verse. The guy has six sacks. Come on , I was expecting a MYles Garret type of season from what he showed us last year . But Garret has 23 sacks and Verse has F" SIX !

And this is exactly why I am totally stoked we have Stafford, Puka and now D Adams... not many dudes can run McVays schemes and offense. Apparently I have read, the actual hardest part of Seans offense for players, is remembering everything you're supposed to do.

This is why it blows my mind, some posters aren't happy w Stafford, or Adams, or much of anything. Just want to complain and say we spent too much money on a bunch of guys that should be playing bingo and having dinner at 4pm at Leisure World....

I dont get it. I bet now that Kupp is w a whole new team, players and coordinator... I bet you anything hes sitting there thinking at times... "This offense is a piece of cake versus what we did on the Rams".

I also must give McVay props...You see, Sean really pushed guys in his first couple of seasons. The learning curve was overwhelming for guys... also, our Offense back then would just take too much damn time to set up (remember, we had some many guys moving, we didnt hike the ball till 2-3 second left on game clock...and many times we were forced to call time outs, early in the first or 3rd qtrs)... That really would get me heated... Then, McVay seemed to adapt to his player limitations, and also not have such of a set up. Last season, we improved greatly in this area.

All I have to say is, thank goodness we have an extremity astute/mart QB, and WR group... now that we have our OL in line, I expect BIG things this season. Like BIGLY BIG!
