Karty may be a little slow, but the right side of the line is going 4 against 6. Why? And Humpries ends up being useless, just sticking out his arm. It’s also interesting to watch the lack of effort on both sides of the ball on the left side.

As runners, Corum and Williams seem to be feeding off of each other. One thing that is wrong, though, is that defenses know that when Corum is in, he won’t be thrown to.

Hopefully McQuade will make a difference as a coach/mentor, at the very least, if he’s not an active player.

It seems like this lace-rotation pattern has gotten into Karty’s head and caused him to delay out of caution.

I’m glad that McVay seems to promote a healthy culture.

I don’t know if Jake McQuaide will ever play. He’s 37 and might be more of a coach covering for Blackburn’s deficiencies. He’s a smart 37-yr-old with a degree in aerospace and aeronautical engineering. Or maybe he’ll play.

They’re getting stronger. The 13 personnel has helped with that too. Time together helps so much with cohesion. Great pass protection by Kyren Williams as well.

It’s surprising that there wasn’t even one sack, but so many other things went beautifully.

As several have commented, the Evans kickoffs won’t work with the current rules. The spot puts the defense at a disadvantage. Then again, the Rams return coverage is a bit vulnerable, more on punts than kickoffs. What might they do with kickoffs against Seattle?

Speaking of middle linebackers, how about that Speights? His pass coverage had a lot to do with the second Kinchens interception.

I like these depth moves because the Rams have been pretty healthy so far, but the injury may have just started. Come 12/14 and 12/18, a potentially brutal few days against Detroit and Seattle, the Rams will need to be as strong as possible.

It’s McClendon’s year three, and it shows—on the right side anyway. I’m glad that they’ve kept him. Still, they can’t afford to not draft a top tackle again this coming year.
