We've been watching classic games from the 70's and 80's. It's amazing how bad kicking and punting was then. Chris Bahr missed 9 of 10 kicks from beyond 40 and still had the job. Frank Corral never made 70% of his kicks and had two consecutive seasons barely making 50% and still kept the job ...

They made the plays when it mattered and we did not... It's why they won. We had the Game tied at least and we're going for the win. Like in Philly last year in the Division Round, we lost because of a broken blocking assignment on the O-Line with the game on the line...

The Bears still have a Home and away vs GB and a trip to SF and host Detroit last game of the season, in their remaining 5 games.
We get a Home and Away vs the Cards, host Detroit and Go to Atlanta and Seattle. I'm not worried about the tiebreaker and the Bears.

Wouldn't drafting and relying on a top rated WR, or any rookie ready to play at any position, who would then be on team friendly contracts for 3 years, free up $$ for a top caliber FA CB or whatever position the needs are?
