Bottom post of the previous page:

Niners actually have Mac Jones signed through 2027. And for nothing. Less than $3m. With Purdy’s injury history the Niners could say you are staying here at least for 26……

Hmmmm.... well he could be doing it for 340,725,990 reasons.... as this is the amount he will have earned if he plays through 2029.

Already he's earned $177,187,972.

I get the no fun part because he's on a bad team. But when players say crap like this, it just blows my mind. Like where in the hell else is Joe here going to earn this type of cabbage all before the age of 33?

My goodness.

Here is an idea big Joe, demand a trade or force your team to improve around you... maybe then you will have fun again. But fun has nothing to do w it. I mean how many people on this planet work at a job they sometimes do not have 'fun'.

Comments like this really irk me... some people just dont understand, if you put in the hard work... work your ass off for 10 years, and maybe it wont be all that fun at times... you are set for the rest of your life on this planet.. THEN GO DO SOMETHING FUN... but seriously, WTF... Joes dad needs to smack him around a bit.

I don't think he has to work another day to be set for the rest of his life. He can go have plenty of fun now.

I think this was just an emotional response when he was asked by the press. It has to be a tough to work for a "company" like the Bengals. This could be his warning shot to either make the team better or he will leave. (That could mean retirement, a trade, etc.) Completely agree there are many days we don't have fun at work but we keep on going. It would have been better to keep his feelings in-house. (Who knows what he has said behind the scenes.) I am not going to knock him too much for being transparent. I bet there are at least 30 other players on that team not having fun.
