Why give up anything when you can get him after release?

I wouldn't have been surprised had a trade happened. The Rams don't want him in the NFC and specifically the NFC West this season. The Rams might well have accepted an AFC 2024 7th round pick conditional on him being with the new team in 2024, (and since he's on an expiring 1 year contract he almost certainly won't be).

Rather sign for the minimal as a free agent. What I find ironic is I thought D Jack left so he could play more and make more by reaching all of his incentives.

Lol, y’all being hard on DJ. Can’t blame a man for wanting to contribute more to a team that can use him. I guess he thought he would be a starter and reality slapped him back to reality. Yes, I think he should of been more patient but now he may be picked up by Green Bay or the Raiders who suddenly need another WR. . I won’t call him selfish because these teams kick players to the curb all the time, so he’s looking out for himself!

His only comment to McVay should have been I’m here to do whatever you need me to do to period. Not complain because he wasn’t being targeted enough.
