Have Faith
Despite Thursday’s disheartening loss, the Rams remain the favorites to win Super Bowl.
I’m not worried even if we’re the 7th seed. As this Rams have demonstrated exceptional performance when others count us out. While we were hesitant to face a wild card or travel during the playoffs, I believe this may prove advantageous. The Rams ignite when others doubt their abilities.
Although the loss to Seattle was embarrassing, imo, coach Sean will undoubtedly use it as motivation… so plan on Sean to pour gasoline on this fire.
The Rams should maintain a balanced approach, avoiding arrogance while remaining confidence. By executing their roles effectively. We got this
The secondary unit requires significant improvement. The defensive backs are my primary concern. Shula aspires to become the head coach, and his reputation has suffered. His stock is down right now…He has a responsibility to prove himself. He must infuse passion and a winning mentality into our defense. We have had exceptional performances in many games this season, so we possess the necessary qualities. Question is…Can Shula rekindle our Defenses fire?
Bottomline..DO NOT underestimate this Rams team. We must demonstrate our capabilities to ourselves that we are the team to beat. Eliminate any missteps and adopt a serious and determined mindset.
Please save this post. If I am incorrect, I hope you will critique my analysis. However, I do not believe you will have the opportunity to do so.
Our season starts a week from tomorrow ngt.
Things are just getting started. Rams are pissed and I love that we have a week and half to salivate and chew on that loss…
why? Because HELL is coming, AND we’re not going down. You just watch.

Re: Have faith
Love your optimism Del Mar; I'm not there after that last debacle. Need to let that loss marinate for a while.
Glad Sean moved on the STs coach. The Dotson shit-stomping and the very unnecessary Stafford (Dick Butus-type) hit to the chest really irritate me.
I want another Seattle rematch.

I think everything you just stated above is the gasoline McVay needed … as he’ll be pouring it on these Rams all week this week.Claremontram wrote: ↑Yesterday, 3:57 pm Love your optimism Del Mar; I'm not there after that last debacle. Need to let that loss marinate for a while.

Yes like a team that wraps up the opposing offensive players limiting yards gained after catch and or run. Just go back to basics with secondary. Group tackling. You know the stuff you learned in pop Warner football.

Re: Have Faith
Perhaps with Blackburn's firing our STs will no longer be our achilles. I have no faith in Shula he has not been any better than Morris IMHO. That final drive by Seattle and two-point conversion was it for me. I don't think he will get a head-coaching offer so we will be stuck with him...I hope I'm wrong. But I like your confidence DM...

The guy was providing a reasonably solid performance as defensive coordinator early in this season, however now he appears to have lost his focus and determination.
Should the Dolphins terminate Mike McDaniel as their head coach next month, which seems quite possible, I could envision them hiring Chris Shula based on his last name and supposed coaching 'bloodline,' their franchise seems to do that sort of thing.
The Rams going on the road in postseason play with a mediocre defense, I'm hardly enthused about that situation...

Re: Have Faith
Overall I agree with the post well said. What i disagree is the concept that McVay needs to use it as fuel. We said that about a horrible similar loss to Philly, same for SF loss and now this loss when will this "using a loss as fuel stop?"
Honestly I have never experienced a season like this before where 3 of our 4 losses were totally blown leads (chokes), or beating ourselves like SF loss.

I think this time could be different. I’m just guessing here, but I think Snead and Kronk saw that game Thurs ngt and said, enough is enough… they intervened in having Chase fired.
I am hoping the move woke the entire coaching staff up. These losses are not ok. Sure, no loss is ok, but everyone of our losses is inexcusable. I’m sure Kronk and Snead give McVay a long leash, but there’s still a leash and I think after this past game, they shorted that leash.
Anyone is expendable. This is a business. Either perform or find other means of work. Bottomline.
So this time, I’m betting there is just realness to the coaches and players. Play better and coach better, or good luck in Cleveland or the college ranks…

Re: Have Faith
Of course, once the single-elimination NFL playoffs start, the 'loss as fuel ' concept collapses entirely, doesn't it?malibu wrote: ↑Yesterday, 7:09 pm

So if/when Sean McVay is trudging off the frozen, snow-covered field after the Rams have lost on the road to the Seahawks or Eagles or Bears next month, it won't make any sense for him to claim that the defeat will serve as 'fuel' for the next game, will it?
Obviously, I'm hoping that it won't happen that way, however there's a strong possibility that it will...

To hear some talk... we might as well fold the team for the rest of the season now and concentrate on next year because we're done for...

Re: Have Faith
Agreed. Philly was a total choke job. I did not expect it to happen again; yet it did Thursday night. Really concerning moving into the post season.malibu wrote: ↑Yesterday, 7:09 pm Overall I agree with the post well said. What i disagree is the concept that McVay needs to use it as fuel. Amazing how the usual suspects come out more when we’re struggling. All the negativity, just have to tune them out. Some just have a hard time being positive and hoping for the best.Rampager66 wrote: ↑Today, 3:49 am To hear some talk... we might as well fold the team for the rest of the season now and concentrate on next year because we're done for...

Re: Have Faith
Fiske is not healthy. He is costing us. I think he's a big weak link in the chain maybe. We need him. Turner and Poona are playing great. Never hear Fiske name being called. Need a better DL guy in draft. Don't think that kid from OSU is it. His reps are just awful- and I know it's year 1. But not looking good.

Watched a lot of football this weekend. People going crazy because Pats and Bears beat teams with backup QBs. Denver got crushed by Jax.
Rams can beat any of these jokers.
