Tre Madden RB USC

This regime has had more success with UDFA's then in the later rounds of the draft. With the selection of Wichmann in round 6 last draft, maybe they are improving and with the model being clearly intended to build a winner through the draft, Rams need to improve on their hit ratio in later rounds while sustaining success in the UDFA market. No easy task indeed.
The selection of a now local product for the Rams, USC's Tre Madden in round 6, could result in Rams finding a true gem in the later rounds. As with the selection of Gurley last offseason, health is the major risk with selecting Madden. Could very well be on Rams radar now that they have reconnected with Southern CA and Madden presents the type value Snead is known to seek in draft. Minus the injury concerns, Madden is a high 2 prospect. Tough downhill running back who runs with a low center of gravity. Perfect compliment power back to rotate behind Gurley, as Madden can handle all three downs. Rams have shown a willingness to take the risk on these type prospects, knowing if rehabilitation is successful they have added a true dynamic talent. When discussing Madden scouts point to TJ Yeldon and Derrick Henry. If Rams accepted the risk on Gurley with the 10th overall selection, see no reason they should not accept the risk here in round 6.
