Are you serious? The guys alone you mentioned makes the Draft an "A." They hit on the others its "A+." Akers/Fuller is a Kupp/Johnson Draft. My overall point is I WANT McSnead doing my Drafting/Trading in Draft.
Agreed
The rams didn't even have a first round pick and still at the very least found two good starters in year 1. Cam was the best offensive player on the field going into the playoffs and to end the season.

Big Mike, I don't know what we have in Fuller, his first 4 games were exceptional 75 PFF grade, he got hurt and was pretty mediocre on his return 50 PFF, finishing with a combined 62 PFF. Now he has to do it without JJ's help, so ???
As fans we tend to be homers, is Burgess all that? IDK,
I was not impressed with the snaps I saw of Lewis and I watched every one. He made one play vs Chicago, he also sacked Wilson vs SEA, but it was an unblocked coverage sack. (I really want him to be a force, because we really need him to be)
On the other hand, even tho he's a free agent Darious Williams was a gem. Are there any drafted OL guys that are blowing anyone away?
I think Snead needs to outsource his OL drafts, he's a savant with DB's, RB's and to a degree WR's

Fair enough, we'll have to wait and see.
trust me I want to come back and say, you know what, Snead is a magician

I was more on board with this mindset before this past draft.
Now, perhaps their track record means they have earned a "wait and see" with this crop. I can roll with that premise.
My only point is that the past few years, even right after the draft, I could see the plan. Saw what they were going for. This year, that picture is not as clear to me.

When judging the drafts I think you have to include the talent he has brought in from the traded draft picks. Ramsey etc...
They increase the grades to me.

Fuller and Burgess still have to prove they can play a full year and have an impact. I like what they did in the draft but let's talk about this after the year. Some of these guys are going to be given a huge opportunity to make an impact this year.

lot of unknowns right now. I am not counting on Lewis to do anything due to his injuries. I like VJ but it remains to be seen if he is going to step up this year and do what a lot of us think he can do. I will give it a grade at the end of the year.

Akers is a starter.
VJ performed like a starter when called upon in the playoffs.
Burgess is a starting-level high snap count safety.
Lewis starts when he can play. And he’s good. Not great... good. Outplayed multiple guys drafted ahead of him.
Hopkins is TE 2 this year. We’ll see how it plays out.
Fuller was a solid starter as a rookie.
All this without a top 50 pick & with Jalen Ramsey the first rounder.
I like the young talent no doubt but Fuller played in 7 games. has to show me he can stay on the field
Burgess...like him
Lewis: 3 solo tackles, 2 sacks, 8 games played......don't expect anything out of him
VJ....think he will be solid
Akers...goes without saying...solid
Hopkins....TBD

I like the draft class. They all seem to fit the scheme one way or the other. Curious what they do with Harris. Seems like more of a fit at WR than TE. A big target for Stafford.

D84 much love for your support of the team, really offsets sour pusses like me lol but come on now your are coming close to being elected Homer of the Year
Akers is a starter.
AGREED
VJ performed like a starter when called upon in the playoffs.
not clear about all the VJ hype, he transferred out of Ole Miss cause he couldn't compete with DK Metcalf and AJ Brown, old senior, already 24 and didn't have any dominant college seasons, he may be faster than we think and very fluid but he didn't beat out mediocre Reynolds, DK and AJ started, so farce's playing to his draft position not such a big deal right now
Burgess is a starting-level high snap count safety.
Burgess played 7 games defended one pass handmade 6 tackles for a 47.7 PFF grade Why is he such a stud as of today to you??
Lewis starts when he can play. And he’s good. Not great... good. Outplayed multiple guys drafted ahead of him.
I keyed on Lewis every snap(while praying and doing my rosary) and re-watched 2/3 of his games, I see someone who did not play with same explosion or violence he did in college, not sure what he is at all, but again no reason for blind optimism
Hopkins is TE 2 this year. We’ll see how it plays out.
Why?
Fuller was a solid starter as a rookie.
he had 4 very good games to start the season w/75PFF, missed time when injured and finished with a 62PFF after falling off big time
All this without a top 50 pick & with Jalen Ramsey the first rounder.
Ramsey $$$$$$$$$

Slap... I appreciate the detail.
One thing that jumps out is that you take zero account how much players can grow early in their career.
VJ was solid when he got playing time. Reynolds isn’t a world beater but he was a 4th year pro with a solid track record. I’m not calling him an A+ pick, but he’s obviously a guy who can contribute well in the NFL.
Burgess.. sure.. there’s projection. If you watched him close you saw the light go on just before he got hurt. And his injury was a legit injury play. He didn’t have a no contact blowout or something,
Lewis is a 3rd round rotational Edge. He’s not a first rounder. He’s not going to get double digits sacks... but he can cause problems. Again.. 3rd round.
Hopkins.. sure.. tbd... what do we know? He had a legit player in front of him in Everett and he doesn’t do what Mundt does. We know TEs rarely do much as rookies. The TE 2 spot is his.. and, again.. 4th round.
So... Fuller can’t grow from year 1 to 2? He’s shown he can play in the NFL and has a full offseason to grow. He’s obviously the starter and for only a 6th.
Look... Lewis could not play a snap.. and it’s still a good draft. 2 first year starters... at least one more starter in year two.. and a couple of high rotation players.
Plus, Anchrum made the roster. What if he’s ultimately a decent starting guard?
Yes.. I’m optimistic.. because there’s no indication any of these guys can’t play. Sure.. there’s some projection.. but there’s zero reason you can’t project most of these guys.
Again.. Jefferson produced when called on in the playoffs. Why does that mean nothing?
If Rodrigue is right.. the 2019 class keeps mattering more. Bobby Evans is pencilled in at guard. If he sticks? That’s 2 starters... one guy fighting for a starting spot (Rapp).. one rotational Corner (Long) .. one rotational RB (Henderson) .. one rotational DT (Gaines).. a ST stud & rotational DB (Scott).
These are productive draft classes.. especially when you factor in Ramsey.
You can talk about the $$ for Ramsey.. but, bottom line.. you won’t get the chance to bid on a player like him in FA very often. He’s a special talent.
I meant to say Ramsey is $$$$ so agreed with you there aND THEN SOME!! draft is speculation, so to that extent Snead isn't all wrong, but I think we all get caught up in the hype on these picks, I found myself posting about how much I loved the Lewis pick and waited for him to play and then when he did I was really disappointed, he looked disconnected like he wasn't sure if he was supposed to be dropping into coverage on passing downs or rushing the QB? I mean I saw some real promise when I watched Obo or SJD his rookie year, now I hope that Lewis bounces back in year two
Anyway, lets keep up the yin in yang, ill put us on the ledge, you talk us off
Go Rams
