I don’t know about anybody else but a niners loss is almost as good as a Rams win, for me

So yea,we want the niners to lose tonight and then beat Seattle in a couple weeks,after they lose again next week to Da Bears

Ok thanx. Was listening to a podcaster running thru the various scenarios while I was wrapping gifts + got confused

Basically if an NFC team is ever playing an AFC team, we want the AFC team to win. In addition, we need the teams in the NFC with the same records or better records than us to lose. If in doubt, always pull agains the 49ers. :-)

I figured as much but I thought I heard the commentator say something different but I didn't have the time or patience to re-listen to it so I figured the right answer would be here

In the long-shot scenarios which would involve our team somehow regaining the NFC's' #1 overall playoff seed, the 49ers could need to be eliminated from the NFC West race themselves, yet might still be motivated to go all-out to upset the Seahawks in the regular-season finale.

I'm not certain if that would ever happen, however I certainly wouldn't expect 44-year-old Philip Rivers to lead the Colts to an upset victory tonight...

My hatred for the 49ers runs so deep that I can lose my perspective at times.
