As a kid I always looked forward to Hope and the all stars. Come to think of it wasn't there an all-star game against the Superbowl champs? The college all stars would play the Superbowl winners. As I recall this lasted a very short time do to injuries to the college players. I was really young at the time.

I remember hearing from my dad that the NFL used to send a team up to Canada to play their CFL Champion in an Exhibition Game in the Off season. Not the NFL Champ, just a random team and they stopped playing those games because it was so 1 sided in the NFL teams favor and CFL players were getting banged up pretty good. They were on average smaller but in some instances a little quicker because their field is wider and longer. More running... I think they would play 1 half of NFL rules and then the 2nd half would be CFL.
I think the AFL started sending a team after the NFL stopped or something!
But the games resembled what we See when Alabama or Georgia plays Rosebud state
