If the Rams win on Thursday, they'll not only enjoy a one-game lead over the Seahawks, but they will also control the tiebreaker, considering they beat Seattle in Week 11, as well. In that case, the only way the Seahawks could climb back to the top is by (1) winning their last two games, while (2) L.A. loses their last two games. The Rams are up against the 5–9 Falcons and the 3–11 Cardinals to finish out the year, so it feels extremely possible they can and will run the table.
The Rams are clearly believed to have an edge entering Thursday's contest. The Athletic gives the Rams a 53% chance of earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC while the Seahawks' chances sit at just 29%. If the Rams win on Thursday, their odds of winning the conference jump to 90%.
So, in other words, the Seahawks need to beat the Rams in their rematch if they want virtually any hope of winning the No. 1 seed.

So… help me figure this out.
Let’s say we lose tonight; we win our final two games, then the 49ers lose to the Colts or Bears, and 49ers then beat the Seahawks.
Where does this leave us?

Niners would be out because they would be 12-5 in regards to division.
Hawks n us would be both 13-4 and 4-2 in division. And 8-4 in conference. So I’m not sure what is the next tie breaker. We would have the same record also with common opponents.
We need to be big Carolina fans in 2 weeks…………..

Tonight , if we run the ball close to a fifty percent clip , no way we lose. Unleash the two headed monster.

Rams and Sea finish 13-4 and SF 12-5 we win division. Rams Sea and SF finish 13-4. SF one seed. In the division, it goes common opponent over conf record.
Sea lost to Bucs who we beat. We lost to Philly who sea didn’t play. We’d have better common record.

So that would leave
Rams 13-4
Seattle 13-4
9ers 12-5
Rams would be division champions based on better division record of 4-2 vs 3-3 for Seattle. Seattle 2 looses vs 9ers one to us. We would have only losses to 9ers and Seattle one each.

This is not true.If Seattle beats us and loses to the niners, they would have 3 losses in the division. And we would only have two losses in the division because they would have two losses against the niners and one to us.

No need to stress. We are just better than the shecocks and we will prove it tonight.

I put this other thread. If Rams lose tonight, they’d need SF to lose to either Chi or Indy OR Sea to lose to Carolina to have a shot at division final weekend. Rams obv have to beat ATL. If after next week SF is 12-4, Sea 13-3 and Rams 12-4, Rams would have zero shot at division. Sea and SF would be playing for division.

I think it is going to come down to the best special teams in the wind/rain. Who hits their FGs and doesn't let weather impact the punts.

We need to win tonite - obviously- but Seattle winning on the road vs Carolina and SF is NOT a sure thing.

my question for you and all the rams fans here is this. would you play your starters the last two games if we lock up #1 seed or would you sit them?

We can't lock it up today with a Win so it can't happen. We would need to Win next week, that is the earliest, provided SF loses 1 of their next 2 games.
They have the tiebreaker on us so far and are only 1 game behind with 3 left... even a loss by them this week doesn't clinch it because they would be 2 behind with 2 to play!
