we can't beat good teams with this defense

pass rush feasts on weakness, injured teams, rookies, not so good against decent lineman, tighten the fuckup and play hard

We have an Offense - no pass rush and sub NFL level DB / not the recipe for playoff success.

The Seahawks are a playoff team

We beat ‘em

49ers a playoff team we beat ‘em should a swept em but we messed it up

The Jags are a playoff team
We destroyed them

Rams season has proven otherwise.

Just look at the rams wins throughout the year. It just more pressure in the Rams O, but they can win and have won repeatedly throughout the year.

We can still beat good teams with bad QB play. I think Seattle and Chicago are teams we can beat even with a lackluster defense.

I don’t wanna play the Lions again.
I don’t wanna play at Seattle in the playoffs (even with Darnold). If it was in LA I’d feel confident. So this Thursday is huge.

Green Bay lost Parsons today so I think they are done and that game would be in LA.

49ers would be a road game if it’s in SF or LA so I think that would be tough but I think we’re better. I’d still feel confident vs them.

Eagles, Detroit, and at Seattle is what I want to avoid in the playoffs.

Do we mean 1st half defense or 2nd half defense? I would like to see just more consistency to start.

We've already beat Houston, Seattle, SF, Indy, Jax, Detroit, TB and Baltimore, 8 teams currently in a playoff spot...
We outplayed Philly, SF and Carolina but self destructed.

The Rams didn’t outplay Carolina. What game were you watching? And the first 49ers game the Rams were absolutely outplayed nearly the entire game

offense has been very consistent the defense has not been, even this game we let up 34 points, the Seahawks moved the ball at Will, if we didn't get five turnovers we lose the game, the Colts moved the ball well and if one player didn't ruin the game for him we also lose that game, the Whiners move the ball pretty well even when we beat them, don't forget we lost the first game to them,

Obviously the defense is not horrible but we're going to need that second half defense against Seattle, we can play OK against the Falcons and the Cardinals and still win

Go back and look at the stats...
Carolina beat us on a pick 6, 2 4th down Bomb TD's against Forbes and a RB screen that went for a 30 something yard TD.
They won the TO battle 3-0, had all the chunk plays and only won by 3 at home. We had more yards, 1st downs and were 4-6 in the RZ, they were 0-1. We punted once, they punted 3 times. They won the game on breaks, I guarantee you if the TO's went our way instead. we would have beat them by more then 3 points.
And again, SF - what game were YOU watching. KW fumbled on their 2 and 30 yard lines and then got stuffed in OT on 4th down when we were in FG range for the tie... We had more yards and lost the TO battle 2-0 and again the game by just 3 points. We Left a minimum 9 points on the field just from KW and would never have needed OT. We cut out the mistakes in our return trip to SF and beat then easily!

we missed a chip shot FG and fumbled inside 5 yard line either of which don't occur we win the game against niners.

Sack fumble in Carolina was deciding factor Pretty much played evenly until that point. still a very winnable game.

And Philly was just a lack of focus after the hald and of course the 2 blocked FG back to back which is about as raare as getting hit by lightning

Colts D beat up SEA gor most of the game. Our D is unlikely to do the same Quentin Lake is needed. Secondary sucks without him.

Is Lake our for good or is there a chance he's back in playoffs-or sooner?

Sometimes I don't understand these post. The Lions are an explosive offense with speed. The Rams did exactly what they needed in shutting down their running game. They don't do that, then the Lions win the game. I thought the performance was what you could expect.

First half, just awful and not what I was expecting.

Second half, now that’s what I was expecting and hoped for.

Literally tale of both Rams teams today, we’ve seen this season.

I truly hope we do not witness first half Rams today again.

Seriously knee jerk reaction imo. It's been going on all season this year. Terrible in the loses. I have to be honest when I say that this season has been my least favorite in my 8 years here for that reason. Comments like this post should be made at the end of the game and they continue to stink.. as in a trend. This is an 11-3 team yet you'd think they are the opposite. Im mean for real

If you give up 34 in the playoffs, you lose.

Last 8 seasons, if you give up that many your record is 3-21 in the playoffs. Hence the OP’s post.

OMG... you go on and on. Unless you have the 2000 Ravens defense no one is shutting down a team like Detroit or the Rams for that matter. The Rams are 11-3 and just as easily could be unbeaten. That Lions team is fast and it took a minute to figure them out. It's the way of the NFL these days.

The defense is a questionable for sure lack of pressure another game with 1 sack last 6 games our DL hasn't helped out the secondary. The secondary wasn't great today that's obvious but to be fair we were facing a top offense. Each teams that will make the playoffs have their issues and we are no different. But the overall difference with the Rams and the rest we are very deep and very few glaring holes combined with a very healthy team. Lake and Devante. Devante will hurt.

Jahmyr Gibbs has been scary good this season. The Rams held him to 13 carries for 38 yards, four catches, zero TDs.

You know what? You and the handful of others on here who do nothing but bitch are just people who don't appreciate a damn thing. My household has been through some shit this year and I am done with you crapping on the joy that this team has brought to us this season. You and those handful of others can shove your bullshit where it doesn't shine. Go find the Chargers board assholes.

Just plain stupid to use past team to team comparisons. The Giants beat the Eagles. Does that make them one of the top teams in the league? Same question Falcons over the Bills.

Need I give you any more past games to compare?
