How about if we didn't give the 2 losses away and were 10-0.
The Roman Gabriel/Jack Snow/Fearsome Foursome Rams were 11-0 in 1969.

If Detroit beats Philly, Rams will be in the #1 spot in the NFC.

And then we ran into Joe Kapp and them Vikings and Johnny Unitas and them Colts and never even made the playoffs because only 1st place did back then.

we’re also currently first in NFC overall as well. If Phly wins tonight, they’ll be first again.

No, that's inaccurate, although the Rams lost their final three regular-season games, to the Vikings, Lions and Colts, they still made it to the postseason as champions of the NFL's Coastal Division.
However, in the Western Conference playoff contest the Good Guys blew a 17-7 halftime lead and lost to the Vikings by 23-20, their offense was totally ineffectual during the game's second half. (Game performances like that are why, despite what some fans of our team hope for, Roman Gabriel will likely never make it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.)
That collapse seemingly destroyed much of head coach George Allen's supposed 'mystique' with the Rams players...

Well, at least we were in first in NFC for about 6 hours... that was fun.
