In the 2025 NFL draft, the Rams selected Oregon tight end Terrance Ferguson in the second round (46th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. At 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds, Ferguson arrived in Los Angeles billed as a versatile weapon capable of stretching defenses from multiple alignments as the eventual replacement for Tyler Higbee. His linear athleticism and build-up speed made him a tantalizing prospect for McVay’s offense, particularly in the red zone, where his frame could exploit mismatches. Scouts praised his knack for finding soft spots in zone coverage and his alignment flexibility, envisioning him as a dynamic complement to the Rams’ passing attack led by Matthew Stafford.

he seems faster than any of the guys we have . Higs and PArkison looks like they run in slow motion . It is infuriating. Allen is a bit faster but still pretty damn slow . Ferguson has speed.

Sounds like Higbee is doubtful for tomorrow. I think he got tackled twice so that makes sense.

I would love to see what Ferguson can do...but temper the expectations. He is a rookie and will make some mistakes. I have high hopes for this kid.

I was thinking the same thing. Who cares how crowded we are. None of our TE's are better than average. Not even Higbee at this point in his career. Get the rookie in there. He can't be any worse. And oh, by the way, draft another TE next year too.

Exactly. Crowded and mediocre. Tonight SHOULD be the night. Higs hurt yet again. Time for the heir apparent to make his debut.

But not before drafting a big, physical corner and a new RT...and LG...and Center...
