As the Rams wrap up this week's OTA's and training camp 6-7 weeks away, I would like to dive into the Rams' position groups. The Rams enter the 2025 NFL season as a legitimate Super Bowl contender, building on their 2024 NFC West title and playoff success. With additions via the 2025 draft, free agency, and key re-signings, the roster is robust. Below, I rate each position group, incorporating changes such as the defensive lineman Poona Ford, linebackers Nate Landman and Chris “Pooh” Paul Jr., running back Jarquez Hunter, and tight end Terrance Ferguson.

So just to be an ass hat and not rate (by the way what is the rating scale?) the obvious let me be the first to rate punter/ kicker, Evans and Karty. Solid A-/B+, just to give minor room for improvement.

I rated things on the fly… just how I see things 😂

*B* for the secondary, as it stands????

I think most of us, if we REALLY thought the secondary was a B, would be doing backflips through the forum!

A great push rush makes a decent secondary.

Xavier Smith is a part of the special teams. While solid, he hasn’t been consistently changing field position.

I made some slight changes. Still, for the most part, I believe these ratings are fair.

Also, I don't mind a little pushback, criticism, and correction. Oftentimes, it is warranted. Please don't ever think I will get offended or get pissed off. Running a forum requires thick skin, and I can handle being shown I am FOS.

I think A- for the RB's is a little high. That is based on production that hasn't happened yet from the back-up's.

KW is solid....great vision, hard to bring down, decent in blocking....he does have a couple of issues....too many fumbles, lack of breakaway speed, and really hasn't been a threat to catch the ball both short and downfield.

BC looks like KW rebooted to me...maybe we get a better feel for him this year as McV seems to not trust Rooks in the backfield year 1

That leads to the new guys....we won't see much of anything from them once the real games start

The highest grade I can give at this point is a B-

I was ok with everything except the OL... without depth it can only be a B+ at max.

I actually agree with your RB rating.. KW is elite and there is good depth there.

Can't disagree with the secondary rating. But the way I see it, the defense as a whole greatly improved down the stretch. And the secondary was part of that. Is it possible they could be better than we thought?
