Eagles again exploit Limmer at the end of the game for the win
The limmer experience must be close to an end by now . What about the long snapper that was blocking AIR like an idiot ?

I watched the play again and again and then compared it to other FGs from the highlights of other games. Observations:

a) the longsnapper is useless.. watched other LS and none just stood there with arms outstretched. most will at least put their body in the way.
b) The Left guard, i think it was Havenstein was on his backside and offered nothing.
c) Karty had no chance.

I looked at the kick a bunch of times you cant tell if it was going left. This is on the players vlocking and bad ST coaching 2 bks should never happen in a game. Karty hit 4 FGs prior to the 2 blocks and was absolutely sensational in kick offs I was already in my mind giving him the game ball.

This is the best angle I’ve seen. The ball was going left, and Havensten got destroyed even worse than Limmer. The Rams did make an adjustment, but why did Havenstein and Jackson swap sides? It also looks like the Eagles moved before the ball was snapped. Surprise.

Oy.

What happened to Limmer? So high on him last year until the last series of the last game. Now, it appears he cannot anchor and block. Pass protect/FG protect. Better run blocker and horrible pass blocker. Cannot have him play. We need Avila back big time and now we look thin at guard once again since backups suck.

It's dumb to blame Karty for the line not blocking. He may not be great but he's good enough. If you're going to blame anyone in this game you should blame Stafford. He missed a wide open Adams at least twice in this game. One time was a sure touchdown. I'm surprised at how well they played the first half. For some reason McVay just can't get the red zone figured out.

I agree w that other poster. I think that was going to be a real wide miss. Prob lose anyway on a shitty kick.

My gosh... First off, We didnt know the wind factor. Secondly, Karty COULD have saw the breakdown immediately and tried to kick around it...

Can we all stop assuming this would have been missed if the kick got away, and address the actual fact that our OL broke down, got man handled and gave up TWO Blocked kicks...

My goodness.

Yeah that is a good angle. The main reason the Eagles player got a hand on it was the ball was not kicked straight even though they were lined up in the middle of the field. It was just a bad kick. Even if it’s not blocked it’s a miss.

The ball should have been kicked between 50/67

If he kicks the ball straight it’s not even close to being blocked. You are lined up in the middle of the field. It wasn’t on the right hash where you have to pull it. It was right in the middle. If he kicks the ball between the Rams 50/67 it’s not close to being blocked

The only silver lining is this debacle is that this horrific weakness in our kicking game has been exposed and at least the blocking scheme and personnel should be fixable. On kickoffs Karty really could not have been any better in this game.

Davis is 6'6 with a 30 inch vert. Bro got up there no doubt. Just the perfect block tbh.
The second one however, was a fix job.

Limmer is the issue. He screwed over the rams last year in the playoffs with his poor blocking and again yesterday vs Eagles with his poor blocking on the fg attempt.

Stop playing Limmer. He isnt ready. Many asked why he fell in the draft. Now we know.

I said Limmer was a JAG. Got flak for it. Don’t need PFF to tell me what my eyes see. His ass in backfield getting beat. For a workout guy he gets shoved around. Technique sucks.

Rams needs a good backup guard. If Limmer is put back out there then it is Mcvay fault for every play he fails at.
I'm tired of blaming Limmer, he sucks but Mcvay keep allowing him out there. I blame Mcvay.

When the Eagles backup RT sucked Nickk Sirianni got him out of there. Instantly the Eagles OL improved.

Mcvay knew he couldn't come into the season with Limmer starting but he allowed him to be their backup guard and center. He needs to be 4th string and deactivated every week until he is ready.

Snead needs to find a new backup Guard ASAP.

The Rams have by far the best kickoff unit in the NFL thanks to Joshua Karty

Rams kicker Joshua Karty had a good game against the Eagles despite getting two kicks blocked, including the potential game-winner. Those weren't his fault, as the protection allowed Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter to crash through the line for critical blocks.

Karty converted on all four of his field goals in the first half, including a 51-yarder in the first quarter. The second-year man out of Stanford has come on for the team, proving to be a reliable option towards the end of last season and he is picking up right where he finished.

A righty doesn't shank to the left...that's called a pull...and I sure as hell can't figure out how you can come to that conclusion from the couch.

Camera angles distort images...can't tell you how many times I have watched golf with the camera right behind the guy and it looks totally different than the outcome....that....and I'll add balls move in the air due to English on the ball. Granted it is usually right to left but some kickers have a left to right spin
Nice retort Sanbagger! :)

If you can't see that the ball was mis-kicked and heading left I don't know what you're watching. Wind?? It's a 44-yard field goal, not a 65-yard field goal. Maybe the O-line didn't block very well but a 44-yard attempt shouldn't require perfect blocking. Are we all forgetting he had one blocked previously that was horter that this attempt. Karty kicks flat. Maybe the best thing that happened to him was that the field goal was blocked, because that kick was goiong to be wide left... Then what are saying...

The fact is that if he had made either kick we would have won the game. Both kicks were blocked. That's not on the kicker. That's on the offensive line.

Better yet, its on the Rams Offense imo..becuase the fact that we didnt convert 6 points in the redzone in how many chances... which resulted in Karty attempting a million kicks as well...
