There's a reason why they don't use the classics as a throwback. It would only spotlight just how amature, and cheap the current digs are.

I personally know one of these men... and his quote was 'This new stuff is complete garbage'. I wont say who, but it was said to me on a couple of occasions by him.

Roosevelt Grier (#76) is the only original 'Fearsome Foursome' member still living, plus the only one to have lived long enough to have seen the Rams' current uniforms... ;) :? :idea:

Based upon my perspective of what were 'Rams prestigious uniforms,' that would be the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys, the Association, Simon & Garfunkel, Peter, Paul & Mary...plus the Beatles, of course.

However, I never expected the Rams to simply replicate past uniforms, either the white with royal blue trim (1964-72) associated with Roman Gabriel or the royal blue & canary yellow ('73-99) associated with Eric Dickerson.

If the Rams keep the current shit storm uniforms, they WILL NOT chose to use the classic Dickerson, Youngblood, or Gabriel uniforms as throwbacks. Would never happen.

I actually really like the current uniforms except for the grading on the numbers... I especially liked the bone colors.
I thought the broken horn was a great way to modernise the uniform and making it appeal to a younger crowd,.. was very smart by Rams.
I do like the white and blue in the image with broken horn though !! would be awesome alternate uni.

I have it on good authority from a gal that waits tables at Cork and Batter that knows a guy on specials team that the new blue and sol is pink. See below. Who is Bradford?

Reddit poll done back in the day... highlights to me what the Rams were trying to do (engage a wider audience) as ofcourse Reddit is less representative of the die hard Rams

My point being is that hate Mr Dellmar, will not change the fact that generally Rams fans like the new unis even though most of the posters here don't..

With all due respect (which is to say, none :P ), if a uni looks good, it looks good. The current unis don't look particularly good compared to uniforms of other eras. The older unis look classic and tough. They pay respect to the older Rams greats. They just look good.
The newer unis just look...weak. They make the team look soft. JMO

Try a poll to see which are better. 1980? Or 2024. That would paint a more definitive opinion.

Maybe we are looking at a different polls... only 33% of this forum said they hated them is another way to look at it !!! the rest were ok with it

Whoever likes the new uniform and helmets are not trolls. These are just opinions. Just like fans that hate them aren't pissing into the wind - we're pissing into the Rams front office faces.

But first of all - a Rams fans forum is where polls should be held - fans of a team that actually buy the merch. I don't care about fans from SEA and SF etc. opinions about OUR teams uniforms/helmets.

And 50/50 tells you ALL you need to know. That is, I'm guessing most fans of their own specific team would rate their teams uniforms & helmets as favorable 99 to 1. 50/50? That's as epic a failure as I've ever heard of from a pro franchise.

I wasn't trying to create a huge debate out of it... Just wanted to highlight that there are a lot of people Including those in this forum that like the uni's and that its understandable (to me at least) why they made the change i.e. to appeal to a new breed of Rams fans.

I also took the liberty of looking up similar polls for the Jets and chargers change of uni's and it had similar results.. i.e. Approx 30% of those that are traditionalist that hate any change and 30% that love it, the rest are more or less accepting of the change.

If they do make changes to the uni's.. my only hope is that they get rid of that grading on the numbers...

I'm in agreement with you on the 'gradient' numbers, they look foolish and also weak, from my perspective.

The all-bone uniforms are okay with me, they're rather of a tribute to the white-with-blue-trim Rams uniforms of the Roman Gabriel era, actually I would opine that they're representative of what those 1960s uniforms looked like on black-&-white television back then.

However, the all-blue variation does indeed appear to resemble pajamas, which is a ridiculous look for a football team.

While I prefer the old-style horns on the helmets, I can understand the reason for the 'broken horn' image. Clearly, the current uniforms are intended to appeal to the 18-to-34 age demographic, those people who could end up being fans for another 4-5 decades or even longer.

Our team's fans who were middle-aged or older when the Good Guys returned to southern California, they were obviously going to desire the Rams to wear the exact same uniforms as they did when those fans were young, that was true of me also yet I hardly expected it to happen.

What's "clear" about it? Why haven't every team done this??? Did you mean to say 18-to-34 month demographic? It looks like toddler wear Oh well, again I'd at least have a little respect for them if they had the balls to run out some actual throw-backs onto the field at some point...

Teams have all done a helmet design make-over such that to "clearly" win over young fans? interesting, I've not noticed that idiotic behavior...yeah let's blame the move. Why not change it all. LA Surf? Youth would "clearly" love it
