We all learned a little more about " The backwards pass rule"(although it looked more like a busted up play to me). -- the Fatboy

Re: Positive from the Game
Stafford was overall great and this performance most likely cements the MVP race he didn't do anything to not deserve it from last night.
Trying to find more positives- i guess players like Diedich, Wallace, and a couple other back ups got more experience. Also hopefully a careful analysis of all things special teams will be looked at not in terms of the last 2 games because both upcoming teams we play are weak itcneeds to be based on the playoffs and whatccan we do to improve on play calling with a lead, special teams and lastly hopefully another deep analysis into our defense and why do they choke when we have the lead.

My take is we learned from Casper and the Raiders you can't fumble the ball forward....so how in the hell is that not fumbling it forward? When the ruled is a lateral it should not have been allowed to tumble into the endzone for a score....SMH

Re: Positive from the Game
Positives.. we allowed No Sacks and Had No TO's., 585 total yards, 30 1st downs, 37 points, No punts til the 4th Q and we outrushed and out passed them.
Staff is now over 4100 Yards on the season with 40TD Passes and just 5 Picks and KW is over 1100 rushing Yards..
The problem with listing the positives, AFAIC is it begs the question... How did we lose this game?.... and then you remember how!

All of those numbers are impressive and it does beg the question how we lost : I feel after the interception by Lovie that we “ stopped “ playing aggressively in O - sort of took the air out of the ball and tried to merely bide time - an attitude to simply grind out a few 1st downs may have led to a different outcome. Seal the win is a difficult concept to employ for McVay.

Re: Positive from the Game
The 1st 3 and out didn't bother me much. We had the ball, up 16 with about 9 1/2 minutes left. The 1st 2 plays were runs from KW that netted 4 yards and kept the clock moving. Staff thru an incompletion on 3rd and 6 and stopped the clock at 8:03. In hindsight another run to keep it moving or force Seattle to spend a TO might have been a better option. Then the Punt/Return TD/2 PT Try... suddenly 30-22. They KO and we go 3 and out on 3 pass plays. I think we used up 37 seconds or something like that on those 3 plays because 2 were incompletions that stopped the clock and we punted again, They should have been running it and working Clock instead of giving them the ball right back with Mo and Time.RonMac wrote: ↑December 19th, 2025, 4:39 pm All of those numbers are impressive and it does beg the question how we lost : I feel after the interception by Lovie that we “ stopped “ playing aggressively in O - sort of took the air out of the ball and tried to merely bide time - an attitude to simply grind out a few 1st downs may have led to a different outcome. Bad play calling but if it would have worked... Parks dropped a catchable ball and Staff overthrew an open Mumpfield on that series.
