Bottom post of the previous page:

I'm betting that between the Vets on the Team and the Coaching Staff, that Puka's already heard alot about it and keeping his head into the task at hand, was a huge part of what he heard about it!

Oh I am not excusing anything for a minute. What he said was flat out stupid and immature. No question there.

I am just saying that hes still a kid and does some really dumb stuff. He can be immature absolutely. I have watched him for a long time, and I think he and his brother grew up saying stupid things a lot and trying to one up the other, and see who can be the most insane. I watched an interview once when he was w his brother and they both acted like 4th graders.

I was the same w my 3 older brothers, messing around doing stupid crap. Even to this day, one of these brothers still does it, and it drives the rest of us crazy... but back to my point... I just have to think that McVay or someone on staff will talk to him and relay that what he said was not ok and he needs to hold himself to a higher standard. I also think hes frustrated w injuries and also the refs not calling out more plays.

Again, what he said was stupid. But, I think he wont do this again. Just so damn stupid... someone has to talk to him.

ALL of Kronks teams almost have zero tolerance for things like this. He wants his players to be good reps of the Kronk brand..
The kid mention again does not fly with me. I’ll just leave it at that……………

Oh my bet is it won’t happen again. But that is not my concern. How the “targeted group” that he referenced in the manner that he did is my concern. He just didn’t complain about a call……………

You think we make call to just get on TV well here you go……………

Oh and which team is the least penalized team in the league going into week 16? Again thinking through his ass…………..

Ok.

In the statement, Nacua said "at the time he had no idea" of the nature of the gesture, which has been associated with antisemitic themes.

"I deeply apologize to anyone who was offended by my actions as I do not stand for any form of racism, bigotry or hate of another group of people," Nacua wrote in the statement.”

My mother was Jewish, by default, that makes me Jewish. Does this bother me? Not for a second. People get “offended” for anything. Thin skinned people “offend” me. LOL… people need to grow up and laugh a little. Who cares if it was in bad taste. It’s the intent the matters.

I am offended that people are so easily offended… the absurdity of it all.
No excuse for this trash.

Ok, now I am seeing more of what went on, and I can now see why NorCal and others are upset. This was not ok, and I did not know it went to this level. Not good at all.

Wrong game to be playing, Puka, just shut up and play ball.

There is no excuse for this crap, even if he is an adult kid.

has anyone talked about how Puka wanted N3on and another streamer to come into Rams park and he thought it was ok and when McVay found out he was pissed. Add that with his antisemitic comment, brother's prank/grand theft auto, and lastly but the most severe is his comments about the refs. NFL is going to come down big time on him for that. Dude needs to get his shit together IMO

I am on the fence about who I am picking tonight. It will be a game time decision. This kind of stuff impacts players, not just Puka. Too many examples of us not being focused and/or being distracted. You know Seattle will be bringing this up all night during the game. Gives them something to trash talk about.

The apology is the right step. Exactly what the woke mob eats up like candy. Good job, Rams PR Dept. Now shut up and play. All eyes are on you for the next few, and they are waiting for another slip up. But memories are short, and actions speak loudest. Just SHUT UP AND PLAY.

Re: Puka Concerns

Post by DelMar »

I have been looking more into this and it seems like to me Puka is going through something. What that is, no clue… but he is almost crumbling from inside out.

This is the dance that has caused all the controversy. For me, I’m pretty astute to things, and I had no clue these moves were bad. Imo either did Puka. If he knew it, no way he would have done this ESPECIALLY on video.

Secondly, Glendora brought up another good point, last ngt when Puka got in the heated argument w the game on the literal line, that almost cost the game right there was way over the top by Puka. He was pissed and wouldn’t stop. When everyone was trying to get him away from yelling in the hawks players face THEN to step up to the ref, it was obvious Puka hit a breaking point.

Then to the rumors that he’s partying and drinking a lot also seem to have some merit. This is LA, and it has a way about eating you up, then spitting you out. It’s a disgusting town in that way. Superficial and lacks all character, integrity and class. Dog eat dog world here and people burning other people on the daily. Anything for clout and fame… it’s a sad sinful place.

All these signs tell me we need to maybe pray for the kid and hope he figures his way through whatever he’s going through.

I believe Puka is an incredible dude. And can be a future HOF WR. But, he’s also incredibly immature and is lashing out bigly on small things. Whatever is going on behind the scenes, let’s rally around our boy and support the kid. He’s our best WR and could help win a chip eventually.

This is just my two cents. I could be wrong but the signs tell me I’m prob right. Hope I’m wrong though

and in the post game press conference they asked McVay about the 2nd tweet he sent out after the game and he looked shocked and pissed asking what he did it again??? Reporter said yes he did it again....Yes he played great but his fines are going to be so massive. NFL is already pissed about the 1st one he did along with the antisemitic dance. Not going to lie a little worried about him

Well the ref comments certainly became a prophecy...they screwed us and yes, they got to do it on tv. That said, the team should take up this crap with the league and Puka should let that be the channel. As EastBay pointed out, it had zero impact on his abilities.

not a fan of the refs but you can not go after them without consequences like Puka has done. Now he has done it twice. This fine is going to be very large

Part of me really hates the "Thou Shalt Not Criticize the Striped Man" rules for NFL. If they suck, they need to know. Stop short of any and all threats or name calling or of course physical altercations.

I didn’t know about the antisemitic stuff till today, and it’s very disturbing. It’s also troubling that Puka was manipulated so easily by those idiots. Then mix in the stupidity with his brother, and it’s not good. Puka just became a father, too. I hope that the team can intervene effectively.

What isn't deemed as antisemitic these days? Are you telling me that Puka knew that this gesture could somehow been seen as antisemitic? It certainly was not his intention and intention is important is such matters. Should he be hanging out making videos with these doofuses during a short week of a very important game, absolutely not. But let's reel in this antisemitic accusation some...

My thoughts exactly, I dont think he had a clue what it was. He was just trying to make up a new move after he scores TD's... if he had known what his moron buddy was doing, NO WAY Puka would have done it. He is not that ignorant/dumb.

Like I said in my previous post, I am a pretty smart dude (and I am also a goober at times, per SoCal78. Which is true), but I know my way around.. and I had NEVER seen that dance, nor did I know there was even a dance made to hate the Jews. So to think some 20 something kid that is not political at all (that I know of) is laughable.

Bottomline, he gets a pass from me. Next time, it's different. But seriously, how many times in our lives when we were young did we do stupid things and not know what the hell we were doing. I have a perfect example... my first marriage at 19. NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL I WAS DOING. divorced a couple years later and got married 10 years later, and have been mostly happily married for almost 17 years. So, I had no idea what was going on the first marriage, but after Iived some more life and grew up... 10 years later, I got it right. 😎

On another note, I'll never understand the hate for the Jewish people/culture. Bible states they will be persecuted for all of time, but it puzzles me so much. I have a lot of Jewish friends, they are the most loyal and nicest friends I know, although they are tight w money, but well very off none the less. 🤑

It won't die as long as Puka keeps himself in the news for all the wrong reasons, like publicly criticizing officiating.. we may agree with these players that bitch about it but we also know they won't ever win on the issue and it's better to leave the bitching to the fans.

Puka is still young, plays with great passion and leaves it ALL on the field. He puts himself and his body on the line each and every week for this team and his teammates, that is all that matters to me...This team would not be where it is today without him! End of story for me...
