Baker was not good but damn TB defense was outright awful last night.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
I was like dude, get rid of the fukkin' ball! He ran around until he got sacked. Very frustrating loss in terms of our draft pick. Kiss Caleb Downs goodbye now. I know you were already skeptical but he's a helluva lot less likely to be there at 12 than 8.

yeah that loss hurt us big time last night. maybe we get lucky somehow with more QB's taken and OT's....this league is in dire need of good OL

Buffalo doesn't suck.. They'll take down the Pats this week and only be 1 game behind them with 3 to go.. You heard it here 1st.

Falcons now 10th alone. Pick ain’t cracking top 6. All those teams have 3 wins. 3 teams are 4-10. Pick prob lands 7-12.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
I don't think any 3-win teams can scratch out 2 more games to jump ATL. That's assuming ATL loses out but they will probably win at least 1 more game. That means I'll be rooting hard for 4-5-6 win teams. Cincy, Washington, and wow, even NO have a shot to win some games and push ATL closer to the top. The last game of the year against NO could literally mean a 1 spot higher pick for the Rams.

I could see them or Houston coming out of the AFC. What if they make it to the SB? You can't fire the coach after that!

If the Buffalo team that came back and beat GB is showing up, I have to say… they have a good shot. But, you’re right OC… they aren’t because RAMS are winning it

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Anybody else change their draft wishes after watching the Seahawks debacle? For me I've swung more towards the defense. On offense Stafford is having an MVP season, Davante and Puka will be back, Corum and Williams are young, Ferguson will be a star next year. We just need to shore up the OL and add some depth.
CB or Downs - A player like Caleb Downs might have prevented that hideous 3rd and 16 run for a 1st down or one of those 4 fucking 2-point conversions Seattle got. He'll most likely be gone so I'd go CB. We might have a shot at the #1 CB on the board. Forbes was showing signs but he might be a better CB2.
ILB - Speights has done a decent job as an UDFA but Landman has shown us what a true ILB looks like. Just saw a mock where we take hybrid Sonny Styles from Ohio State at 10. That would be an exciting player to add to the front 7.
WR - The offense went up and down the field but we had a lot of dropped balls and hit a wall of 3-and-outs in the 4th quarter. At 10-12 we could be looking at one of the top wideouts in the country. It's a long shot but if Tate or Tyson is there, McVay would surely do it. Tutu and X Smith are FA's and Whittington is a JAG. Not sure what we have in Mumphield yet.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Styles draft stock is shooting up. I thought we could get him later in the 1st round but I don't think anymore. I don't think Downs will be there at 10-12. I agree the more I watch the Rams play the more I think CB needs to be the pick.49RH8R wrote: ↑December 20th, 2025, 9:07 am Anybody else change their draft wishes after watching the Seahawks debacle? Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Lack of CB glaring. Can’t run with JAGs and reclamation projects. Secondary is unserious. D Line hasn’t been as good. Landman an upgrade. This team needs another offseason cycle defensively. Offensively I’d target a WR and more linemen but not as a priority. Free agency another avenue as well. Rams will have ample cap space.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
With the Davante injury, I'm thinking McVay goes WR with 1st pick and OT with second pick.
CB can be had in FA.
Could also trade down from 1st pick and gain an extra 2nd rounder?

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Have no issues w that. FA WRs a crap shoot. Adams is obv up there in age. Without him Stafford is throwing to Mumpfield, Whittington and Xavier Smith. Definition of JAGs.Claremontram wrote: ↑December 20th, 2025, 10:58 am With the Davante injury, I'm thinking McVay goes WR with 1st pick and OT with second pick.

No need for RB or TE. Ferg will flash next year.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Wins by the Bengals, Saints, and Vikes helped with our Falcon's pick. I'd love to see the Skins notch another win and pick behind Atlanta. Of course, if ATL beats Arizona a top 10 pick goes out the window.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
For me, I would be disappointed with WR in rd 1. With the way college ball has changed, in the right system, good WRs can be found in the 1st half of the draft.Claremontram wrote: ↑December 20th, 2025, 10:58 am With the Davante injury, I'm thinking McVay goes WR with 1st pick and OT with second pick.

After watching the GB / Chi game, I dont see the Rams physical enough on defense. They need a nasty DB, and a nasty, physical DL.
I saw a mock draft that had the Rams taking Cincinnati's QB with their 2nd first rounder. Knew nothing about him. I watched his reel on YouTube. I loved what I saw. Throws a beautiful deep ball, has great release, 6'5 and mobile. Would love to grab him if there in rd 2.

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Remember when Elway won his last SB with the Broncos? He was a shell of himself and it was all about the defense and running game. If we use the draft to get an elite CB and LB our defense could be nasty. I'd also add another DL unless they think Ty Hamilton is a player. We miss Lake so it's key to re-sign him.ocram23 wrote: ↑December 20th, 2025, 9:26 amStyles draft stock is shooting up. I thought we could get him later in the 1st round but I don't think anymore. That was Peyton Manning. Who was totally washed up when they won the Super Bowl.49RH8R wrote: ↑Yesterday, 1:39 pmRemember when Elway won his last SB with the Broncos? Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Manning is another good example but Elway won the SB vs. Atlanta behind a good D and RB Terrell Davis. He retired after that game just like Manning did later. And yeah, Manning was clearly done at that point.SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 2:12 pmThat was Peyton Manning. Who was totally washed up when they won the Super Bowl.49RH8R wrote: ↑Yesterday, 1:39 pm

Anyway, my point is if we give Stafford a nasty, dominant defense to go along our running game we can make another run next year. We can't expect another MVP season but he could still be a top 10-15 QB

Re: Falcon's Draft Pick Watch
Looks like the Cards were only interested in winning in the 1st half, and have surrendered. They'll be picking 3rd now since the Titans won.
And who knows maybe the Giants and Jets will try to win a game and ARI picks 1st, again. So grateful pappa wasn't a Card fan!
