Bottom post of the previous page:
I'm on record...I would welcomer this depending on the cost. This is not an exciting QB class in my view and prefer to address O-line and CB with the first couple of picks.QB's can find new life in other systems, I think it is time for TL to get out of FLA and moving to the other side of the country and a new conference will do him wonders

Mcvay has proven with a Rookie, Goff and a Vet, Staff and others like Mayfield and to a leaser extent Bennett and even won a playoff game with Wolfie, that he can scheme around whoever is the QB and his skill set.FelixTheStonerCat wrote: ↑December 6th, 2025, 1:46 pmYall are loveable old assholes tho lol. I am going to keep things on track tho. I just don't see TL being a Ram, but if he does, I'll trust the decision. I just really can't see him fitting with this offense.TheTustinRam wrote: ↑December 6th, 2025, 1:40 pm
You should probably know that both Glendora and I are “old assholes”. I even manage to make it an artform![]()
If Sean wants him, and Staff is leaving it'll happen, whoever that may be... and I would trust that completely.

his contract is massive so obviously my question is how can they afford this guy?sanbagger wrote: ↑December 7th, 2025, 3:56 am I'm on record...I would welcomer this depending on the cost. This is not an exciting QB class in my view and prefer to address O-line and CB with the first couple of picks.

Staff's contract would be coming off the cap?ocram23 wrote: ↑December 7th, 2025, 10:23 amhis contract is massive so obviously my question is how can they afford this guy?sanbagger wrote: ↑December 7th, 2025, 3:56 am I'm on record...I would welcomer this depending on the cost. I'm assuming Staff retires before anyone is brought in and he no longer counts against the cap..
I don't see him retiring yet, while he's playing the best football of his life so unless something is going on behind the scenes that we are unaware of I doubt anything happens that way!

Also, I am glad there is noise, in fact there should be even more noise w other QB's as well. Like Burrows.
Why not?
Shows the Rams are thinking down the road... and I love it.

I don't love him. Del said some thought Stafford was washed like who? We paid 2 firsts and Goff that doesn't spell washed whatsoever.
Stafford was great despite the poor organization. Lawrence has had a bunch of pieces they have made the playoffs under him yet done nothing. I don't see it with him.

There were def a few in here when we got Stafford.. I remember post like 'why is Detroit giving him up? 'He is passed his prime'...malibu wrote: ↑December 10th, 2025, 7:50 am I don't love him. Stafford was interesting bc his arm talent was never a question and he played for a horrible Lions franchise at the time.
Lawrence, I dont know, he is getting good coaching, and he has lots of talent. My issue with Lawrence is his consistently and accuracy despite him being on a good team and getting good coaching. Can it be fixed? I don't know. If McSnead pulled the trigger and got him, I would back the move bc Mcvay must think his accuracy is fixable.
With that said I doubt it happens bc of salary, picks and why would the jags trade him?

What Offensive weapons has he had to work with in JAX and who's designing and calling his plays? Who's the "good coaching" and "talent"?malibu wrote: ↑December 10th, 2025, 7:50 am I don't love him. It's an organization thing there imo, not any one player. You don't think TL would thrive here?

Re: Some "noise" that Rams are pursuing Trevor Lawrence
Jags head coach and play caller is a Mcvay disciple, Liam Coen (Rams OC in 2022, Rams assiantant wr coach in 2018 and 2019, and Rams QB coach in 2020) is the Jags HC and calling the plays. The offense ran for the Jags is similar to the one Mcvay runs.Rampager66 wrote: ↑December 10th, 2025, 8:47 amWhat Offensive weapons has he had to work with in JAX and who's designing and calling his plays? Liam Coen was also Tampa OC last year when Tampa had one of the best offenses in football. The good news is, if the Ram's did trade for Lawrence, it would be a easy learning curve bc it's a similar offense.
Liam just got there this year. Prior they had Doug Pedersen as their HC (the offensive minded headcoach who won a SB with the Eagles in 2017.
Brian Thomas Jr is a stud at wr and their rb Travis is good as well. Besides that, I don't know much about their OL or if they have any other weapons.

So they're running the same type Offense but not having the same type success. Playing a last place schedule.Cornell29 wrote: ↑December 10th, 2025, 8:52 amMcvay disciple Liam Coen (Rams OC in 2022, Rams assiantant wr coach in 2018 and 2019 l, and Rams QB coach in 2020) is the Jags HC and calling the plays. Ranked 19th Pass, 15th Run, 9th PPG, 17th Overall... not great!
Etienne is finally having a decent year but they also leaned on him a lot more this year.
They've moved on from WR1 Calvin Ridley, WR2 Christian Kirk, TE1 Evan Engram the past couple years.
Also RB2 Tank Bigsby went down week 1 and Thomas is now WR1 but not really having a great year with just 1 TD in 10 games.
WR2 Parker Washington has 3 in 12 games but somehow they are about to win their 10th game of the season vs the Jets this week.
They're the No.1 ranked run D but 22nd vs Pass.
