A couple of 1st downs and teams with strong legged kickers are already in field goal range. We also employ a bend/don’t break defensive scheme which isn’t something you should be doing with this kickoff strategy. - 1 Been thanked

I consider Kupp going to Seattle like Ike Bruce going to The Niner's, not much left in tank. However, I think Jones is still very servicable. Can you imagine trading him for a 6th and then that team flips him a few weeks later for a 4th?

I like mocks because I'm a draft junkie, and it forces me to learn more about players I'm unfamiliar with. Aside from that, you could read 10 mocks, and see 10 different projections, so no, they're not accurate.
Yep, I am exactly the same. And, my mocks changed based on new information. Like you said, it is educational and interesting.

My take is we learned from Casper and the Raiders you can't fumble the ball forward....so how in the hell is that not fumbling it forward? When the ruled is a lateral it should not have been allowed to tumble into the endzone for a score....SMH - 1 Been thanked

December 19th, 2025, 8:50 pm Re: A little food for thought December 19th, 2025, 8:50 pm Re: A little food for thought
HAPPY HISTORY LESSON!!
For so long as I've been a Rams fan, over half a century, being self-destructive at 'crunch time' has been the overall pattern, from Roman Gabriel to John Hadl to James Harris to Pat Haden at QB, during my early fandom. Later it was Vince Ferragamo's critical interception in Super Bowl XIV after Nolan Cromwell's dropped potential 'pick six,' of course Super Bowl XXXVI saw Kurt Warner throw a 'pick six' to the Patriots which wasn't dropped. During the 1985 NFC championship game, Eric Dickerson lost two fumbles to the Bears, while the '89 NFC title showdown featured Jim Everett's 'phantom sack,' and who could forget Az-zahir Hakeem's muffed punt near the end of the Good Guys' 2000 'wild card' loss?
Of course, the Rams enjoyed considerable regular-season success over most of those seasons, yet it is the rare non-self-destructive versions of our team, in '99 and '21, that are remembered positively by fans, I'm figuring.
When even its superstars (Kurt Warner, Eric Dickerson, Nolan Cromwell) are remembered for critical postseason meltdowns despite overall superior careers, that's a clear indicator of long-term self-destructive tendencies, from George Allen to Sean McVay.
That's been the pattern for quite a long time... :-o

And no, duanevalle22 Fox is conservative. Unlike the leftist idiots who wait until some POS thug has been arrested with 35 prior felonies and someone gets killed, conservatives generally hold people accountable. While those on the left cheer for the criminals.
Why isn't this ridiculous ideological stuff in the 'Off-Topic' section?
Shouldn't you be the one person setting the example of keeping political blathering away from Rams-related (or even generally NFL-rated) discussion?
Whether or not conservatives support lawbreakers, that's clearly an issue for an 'Off-Topic' debate... 8-) :!:

December 20th, 2025, 4:26 pm Re: Are The Officials Really Stupid or Corrupt? December 20th, 2025, 4:26 pm Re: Are The Officials Really Stupid or Corrupt?
Agree with that BUT the O didn't perform when they needed them most in the 4th quarter , 3 STRAIGHT 3 and out after the punt return for a TD
But the O recovered and did drive with 2 minutes left for a 48 yard FG for the lead and ST missed and then they went 80 yards for a TD on the Opening OT drive for the lead back again and the D didn't and couldn't close it out, again!
All true. Imo it was a total team collapse but the offense is the least to blame here. 80% of the blame for defense / st and 20% offense. - 1 Been thanked

How about no more talk, errors, fumbles, stupid play calls, blocked kicks etc and deliver a complete game vs a talented but wounded opponent on their turf? Latest weather shows a cool, windy rainy day for our Rams but it cannot matter as the Rams need to just shut up and deliver a Win. 26. Atlanta Falcons (via trade w/ Los Angeles Rams): Edge James Pearce Jr. (Tennessee)
Grade: D
Trading a first round pick for James Pearce is patently absurd. Why not pick him at 15 if this was the case? Pearce is a quality pass rusher but giving up this much for him — a second and seventh this year and next year's first in exchange for Pick No 26 and a third-rounder this year — just makes absolutely no sense. - 1 Been thanked

We may not like the pics, but I think McSnead and Co have figured this draft thing out. Especially the past few years...
I for one do not understand why we are waiting so long to address DB and LB spots, but let's try and trust the process here. I am sure the Rams will be getting some solid vets for cheap after this draft to fill those holes. Seems like a ton of people forget how many good VET players are on the market. We will be fine.

this is what happens when you don't address this position in the offseason
Ummmm, it was addressed by the Rams acquiring Nate Landman, drafting Chris Paul Jr. and signing Shaun Dolac.
Landman has performed quite well, Paul didn't make the team and for some reason Dolac apparently is listed behind Troy Reeder. It seems to me that Dolac must be seriously underperforming during team practices, since he seemingly can't beat out Reeder for the #1 backup spot at ILB behind Landman and the injured Omar Speights.
Let's just hope that Speights will return to our team's defensive lineup very soon... :-o

April 26th, 2025, 3:11 pm Re: Rate The Rams Draft April 26th, 2025, 3:11 pm Re: Rate The Rams Draft
C-
Only due to the Atlanta trade which I think will net us a higher 1st next year. If not for that trade, I’d give this draft an F.
They took depth pieces at positions they already have players at, while ignoring huge holes on the team where they can actually improve if they put better players in those spots.
I seriously can’t believe they didn’t take an OT, LB, or CB with their first 2 picks. Those are critical needs on the team, high value spots, and they just completely took guys that will barely see the field.
The way I look at it is this: Can the Rams survive if Corum/Kyen go down? Yes. Can they survive if Higbee/Parkinson go down? Yes.
Can they survive if Jackson/Havenstein go down? No.
Can they survive with their CB group? No.
Can they survive with Reeder/Speights starting? No - 1 Been thanked

Nice to see him get the 50 game. Kid has some holes, but most do, but can't fault his effort. He is definitely in it to win it whenever he steps on that floor. Also just tries to work with his team. Heard Ayton was saying that AR has been dissecting his game in practice. Then today, he works some offense to Ayton. Did the same with Bron, AD, Monk. Seems to realize understanding the games of his guys makes him more valuable and helps get more out of everyone. He's there when they need him, I recall a late season game last year when Vando was losing it on an opposing player, Reaves walked in, grabbed Vando and marched his ass out of the confrontation just before JJ came out to cool him down. Just literally bear hugged him and moved him away.
I suspect that at some point, he'll be elsewhere, but I like the kid. - 1 Been thanked

Landman was a great find but everyone else was garbage sorry. when I say address I say use high draft capital or high valued free agents. they did not do that.
So you're dismissing a free-agent rookie as 'garbage' after only his sixth game in a Rams uniform, which was the first one in which he had substantial playing time, is that it? According to the accounts I've read, Shaun Dolac showed decent potential and performed better vs. the Ravens than Troy Reeder, whom Sean McVay nonetheless has playing ahead of him.
Acquiring a top-notch starting performer (Nate Landman) and a promising rookie backup (Dolac) at the ILB position strikes me as 'addressing' it, that Landman was signed rather inexpensively salary-wise and Dolac was acquired without expending any draft capital, that seems advantageous for our team.
So if the Good Guys had been required to pay Landman 50% more in salary and had expended a third-round draft selection on Dolac, would that somehow have been better? I'll go by the results on the field, which to me are demonstrating that thus far the Rams' ILBs as a group are considerably improved over last season... :) :!:

I rarely (if ever) comment on the Rams uniforms. Word is, we are unveiling a new look. My only complaint is this; the entire Rams organization must read social media and other forums, pods, etc.
Rams fans are overwhelmingly opposed to the split horns, gradients, and neons. The Rams ignore the data.

There was a blocked FG in each of last nights MNF games and there's been a lot of kicking blunders around the league. I blame that and the watered down style of play in the NFL, on the$ being paid to stars and the salary cap. Teams dump most of their cap on their stars and in many cases have to settle for less on the rest of the roster. Teams used to have a core 20 players or more that would stay together for years and develop together. Today that number is less then 10 and every team has about 1/4 of their roster learning on the job every year. Thus the mistake filled games with soft zone and prevent defenses due, imo, partially to settling for whoever they can fit into their caps after the big guys get theirs..
Another interesting take Rampager.
you know what should NOT need to be learned? How not to be the guy who whiffs on his block and lets his man run free right past him. If there is a man in front of you, HIT him and frankly, if he wants to jump OVER you stand the fuck up and flip him ass over tea kettle.
