April 23rd, 2025, 1:50 am Re: Jalen Ramsey’s Reunion with the Rams? Snead Talks with Dolphins April 23rd, 2025, 1:50 am Re: Jalen Ramsey’s Reunion with the Rams? Snead Talks with Dolphins
Dolphins are in cap hell. They won’t find takers for that bloated contract and Jalen gets mysterious injuries when he wants out. I say let them cut him and eat the dead money and then make him an Odell Beckham type one year deal for 10 million with milestone incentives. He’s not a shutdown corner anymore and the Dolphins used him a lot as a safety in their schemes last year. Don’t have to give anything up and the contract would be reasonable enough with the incentives to motivate him. That’s the only way I would want him back on the rams.
Cincinnati took him to the woodshed when they played the Rams in the Super Bowl. Jamar chase toasted him and on that final offensive play Chase was running free from Ramsey who was in the dirt and AD came through with the pressure to prevent burrow from hitting a free running CHASE FOR THE GAME WINNER. Definitely don’t want RAMSEY AT HIS TERMS BECAUSE HES NOT THE SAME PLAYER. - 1 Been thanked

I imagine its going to look something like this, IF Reeder and the rest of the Defense dont start playing the game like men and not little soft boys...

December 21st, 2025, 4:54 pm Re: Will epic Ram choke cost Matt Stafford MVP? December 21st, 2025, 4:54 pm Re: Will epic Ram choke cost Matt Stafford MVP?
Numbers aside? What's that mean? The MVP is always determined by numbers and wins. Maybe it might be different if Darnold swept LA. One more win does not trump the lopsided QB stats.
3700 yards 24 TD 13 Int
4100 yards 40 TD 5 int
Not close.
It wouldn't surprise me if Seattle was to win out at 14-3 and win the division and they gave the MVP to Darnold. Or Maye in New England. I'm not gonna lose my shit over it. It's an award. That stuff was a big deal when I was a kid but now it's Super Bowl Champs or bust for me that matters.
Darnold is not EVEN in the conversation . It is between Stafford and Maye . 40 td / 5 picks against 24 td / 13 picks is too much to overcome , even if seattle went 17-0 they would not give to darnold with those stats when they compare so poorly to Staff / Drake . - 1 Been thanked

April 26th, 2025, 12:27 pm Re: WTF are the Rams doing this draft? April 26th, 2025, 12:27 pm Re: WTF are the Rams doing this draft?
So, for weeks leading up to the draft, the concensus here was that the Rams need to follow their board. Apparently doing just that. Do we trust them or not?
We almost wanted a LB or CB who could improve the defense. What do you do if you look at the players available, and say, "this guy isn't as good as the guy we've got now"? Do you draft him, just because fans want a LB? Or CB?
Drafting the position of need doesn't make you better, unless the player is better.
I agree that they can't commit top RB money to KW. This might be the reason for this pick.
In all honesty, I think the trade of #26 threw a wrench in everything. Lost 20 slots in that move, and lost a 3rd rounder. If you like that trade, you gotta bite the bullet and reap the rewards next year, but it obviously greatly impacted this year's quality of picks.
Well said. I didn't like the trade but it happened. Next year will be much more interesting. I am happy with who they have drafted. I personally would have done it a little different, but they know more than me and I trust them. - 1 Been thanked

October 13th, 2025, 9:25 am Re: Shaun Dolac? October 13th, 2025, 9:25 am Re: Shaun Dolac?
PFF graded him 2nd best player on Rams D behind Lake.
2 - Shaun Dolac, MLB: 84.2
Omar Speights has been a problem area of late for the Rams defense. They were forced to make a change at linebacker because Speights was inactive due to injury.
Dolac might have just won Speights’ job moving forward. The rookie UDFA split time with Troy Reeder before taking over most of the snaps late (Dolac played 35 and Reeder 30). Dolac posted a near-elite overall grade and fared well in run defense (81.4) as well as coverage (68.0). He did not miss a tackle. - 1 Been thanked

April 27th, 2025, 6:10 pm Re: WTF are the Rams doing this draft? April 27th, 2025, 6:10 pm Re: WTF are the Rams doing this draft?
Getting the 2026 First Round pick from the Falcons was huge. Snead and the Rams were really high on the Oregon TE. Drafting him @ 46 may have been a few picks early but he’s not on the board @91. Rams get a big target who was the fastest TE at the combine from a top caliber college team who produced really good numbers against good competition.
2nd round pick was a BPA type at a valued position (Edge) in today’s NFL You need quality depth to be able to keep your pass rush fresh and to utilize blitz packages. Team captain at Michigan with a polished rush approaches that could possibly play LB on 3rd downs.
RB from Auburn was a productive player in the SEC. Not sure if this means that Kyren is going to move on after this season or not but it seems like RB is a position that the Rams aren’t going to be investing a 2nd contract in anymore since the TG III extension fiasco. I don’t think it’s something that impacts Corrum other than providing him more competition. Rams were in a position where if one of their top 2 running backs go down they were limited in depth. Corrum being injured and unavailable left them short handed against Philly.
The DT from OSU could be a diamond in the rough in my opinion. Ohio State players talked about how much Hamilton did that created opportunities for others to excel. He did a lot of the dirty work that goes unnoticed like taking away gaps in the run game. Good rotational help that keeps players fresh and a position that is vital when you’re trying to slow down the Players like Barkley. Rams seem to draft a DT every year and have rarely extended this position outside of AD recently.
Chris Paul looks like an excellent addition at LB a little undersized but has a lot of speed and instincts that could make him very effective in this defense.
Don’t know much about the WR late. Not a big name but supposedly a good route runner with decent hands and some Special Teams skills.
Overall this was a strange draft with not much depth. The OT positions were pretty much gone in the first round and you could tell it wasn’t just the Rams not drafting OT after the early part of the second round. Teams like Seattle, SF and Houston that all had needs didn’t touch the offensive line positions until really late.
It’s way too early to evaluate this draft because the Rams were in a position where there’s not a lot of glaring holes on this team and they were not going to have double digit new players making the team like they have had lately. Rams have a very talented team. I still think they will be addressing some positions in the second phase of free agency.
Rams didn’t address the QB position and it was apparent that this draft wasn’t a franchise QB type draft. The Rams got valuable draft capital in 2026 that could make a huge difference in their realistic ability to find a successor to Stafford in next year’s draft which on paper looks much stronger. Having the extra picks gives them an extra chip on the table and an actual pathway to find a franchise QB without having to suffer through a lost season.
I do trust Snead to fill out the roster and McVay to coach this team up and have them ready for his 9 th season as the Rams Head Coach.
Solid thoughts. - 1 Been thanked

The best ILB fell to the Eagles(albeit a trade up), just like the best 2 DBs fell to them last year. How do they get so lucky?
I'll take a little luck now and then. Last year all those QB's and offensive players pushed Verse down to us. I saw Verse mocked as high as 8 and never thought the Rams would get him. Everybody wanted Latu but we got a star.

Stafford throws a tougher ball to catch than Rodgers is my explanation for that. If you look at most of Stafford’s throws he throws it fast into tight windows. Some other QBs put more touch on the ball
He puts the same spin rate that Puka seems to handle and haul in just fine..so DA hands are only able to handle a pass that has touch on it? - 1 Been thanked

May 8th, 2025, 7:15 am Re: Eric Dickerson - Where would You Rate Him? May 8th, 2025, 7:15 am Re: Eric Dickerson - Where would You Rate Him?
I am probably one of the few that can add a fair, unbiased perspective to this discussion. ;-) I was not a Rams fan when Dickerson or Faulk were around...
Without naming every RB...I would say Dickerson is probably 7th/8th best all time? Definitely top 10. The interesting thing is that I would not put Faulk as high as Dickerson. No specific reason, just that Eric always seemed to have a bigger name, bigger impact than Faulk...from the outside looking in. Maybe because he was so much bigger/taller than most RBs and he was actually fun to watch.
It sounds like this thread should have been titled "Who was the best RB for the Rams?" 1/2 here seem to think Faulk, and the other half Dickerson. - 1 Been thanked

Rams going into the bye week playing good football.
Nice to see
Puka will be back after the bye and Spoon will be back soon.
McSnead might make a deal if the price is right l.
Special teams needs help. Almost gave up a punt return, if it wasnt for a tacky penalty.
Nice ti see Karty make 5 extra points in the rain and the OL not let it get blocked.
Higbee is at fault for 3 rams punts. This was after a good week last week. Nice seeing more Ferg down the stretch.
