Is Stafford 100%? Is anybody at the end of October in the NFL? Agreed we don't need to push any boundaries or put him in harms way. But if he can go - he should go IMO.

This weather may be a blessing for Devante Adams...our running game is clicking and our TE's are all world right now. With crazy weather like this, let Adams sit and keep Puka close to the vest and not put in harms way and pound the rock with Kyren and Blake and TE pass the living shit out of the Seahawks defense that has major issues with short to intermediate passes. If Phillip Rivers can walk in the door after 5 years and neatly beat the Seahawks in Seattle, the Rams can and will do the same.

There was a blocked FG in each of last nights MNF games and there's been a lot of kicking blunders around the league. I blame that and the watered down style of play in the NFL, on the$ being paid to stars and the salary cap. Teams dump most of their cap on their stars and in many cases have to settle for less on the rest of the roster. Teams used to have a core 20 players or more that would stay together for years and develop together. Today that number is less then 10 and every team has about 1/4 of their roster learning on the job every year. Thus the mistake filled games with soft zone and prevent defenses due, imo, partially to settling for whoever they can fit into their caps after the big guys get theirs..

Apparently Shelton and his wife had their second child born late Saturday night before the game. A baby boy. Shelton went right from the hospital to join the team … on no sleep and pure Adrenalin. His 2 bobbled snaps were surely due to his utter lack of sleep and emotional exhaustion. He’s so normally consistent as a snapper, but his mistakes during this game were understandable considering the circumstances. Congratulations to the Sheltons on the birth of their son! (Now he needs to get some sleep).

We win every season w him at the helm.

As NorCal pointed out, so do the Steelers. Go to their forums and none of them are claiming Mike Tomlin is an elite coach at least not anymore. Yet here, it’s still a belief that McVay is elite despite the last 3 seasons not supporting that argument.

27-26 is average. It’s not elite.

I go back to Mike Martz. Now I think most of us will agree that his addition really changed the team in 1999.

    The Rams records were:
    1999- 13-3
    2000- 10-6
    2001- 14-2
    2002- 7-9
    2003- 12-4
    2004- 8-8
    2005- (2-3) Martz gone (6-10) overall
    2006- 8-8

From 1999-2003 the Rams were elite. Nobody can argue it. But 2004-2006 the cracks started. Nobody was arguing the Rams were still elite in 2004-2006. Things had changed. Then the wheels fell off in 2007 onward.

Well things have changed with the Rams the last 3 years based on again plain statistics. We got a HC that can no longer score many points and the QB we are tied too is making tons of money at almost 38 years old.

To claim this organization is perfect right now is akin to saying back in 2004-05 “everything is great”. Well it wasn’t.

    “Best OC in the game”….-

Again, you’re nothing but a troll. Why are you cherry-picking McVay’s record from the last three years only? Why not look at his entire record since he arrived? Oh, I know why — because then it wouldn’t fit your pathetic narrative. If you look at the full picture instead of nitpicking, you’ll see:

Led the Rams to a Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl LVI (2021 season).

Won the AP NFL Coach of the Year award in 2017.

Became the youngest head coach in NFL history to win a Super Bowl (age 36).

Became the youngest head coach to reach the Super Bowl (age 33).

Reached the playoffs six times in eight years.

    Won four NFC West titles.

Sean McVay’s overall coaching record with the Rams is 82–52 (.612) in the regular season and 8–5 (.615) in the postseason.

But you prefer to cherry-pick the last three years, because the overall record only looks worse due to that single 5–12 season ( 2023 )— which was completely atypical and happened solely because of an unprecedented wave of injuries that wiped out his offense (including Stafford) and key pieces of the defense ( AD included ). Outside of that outlier season, McVay has been consistently successful.

Being here my take is if their named veterans, And we know the names, can stay on the field they can definitely compete for a playoff spot. One big if though.

They were just saying this morning on their flag ship that the non starters on the OL have been awful this training camp. They got consistently beat in the Denver and Vegas scrimmage. And they ignored the unit in the off season. They have had back-up OL already gone down with significant injuries. And does anyone think Trent Williams won’t miss games?

DL same thing but concern there with actual projected starters.

And the WR unit is a mess right now. They are banking heavily on a great start from Pearsall. As well as they are counting on some of their rookies on D to step up immediately. And Saleh will be their savior lol.

Shanahan was asked this week if they would be picking up any OL. He said they are all playing for someone else right now if they were even interested. This is where I hope the Rams are careful who they waive on the OL n DL. Fact is a guy like Quesenberry would probably be picked up quickly by the niners. No interest in helping them.

My opinion? Those named play won’t stay healthy and they will be in trouble at some point in the season.

I have created a new NFL scoreboard for the forum. I wanted our members to keep track of real time scores on game days.

I still need to refine and test the box scores - that has to be done when games are live.

  • December 16th, 2025, 10:24 am Re: Rams @ Seahawks Pre-Game Thread December 16th, 2025, 10:24 am Re: Rams @ Seahawks Pre-Game Thread

I’m A little worried about this game against Seattle. The Rams are coming off a very emotional, intense win in a tough game against the Lions — a game with a lot of emotional context involved. It was a hard-fought battle.

And human nature is what it is: after a game like that, there’s usually a bit of a letdown. After a battle like that, teams tend to relax just a little.

Now you have to turn around and play Seattle on Thursday, just a few days later, on the road in Seattle. That’s why I’m concerned. I don’t think the Rams will be able to match the level of intensity that Seattle is going to bring. But If they can do that, we win.

we are the better team so if we can match the intensity, we win.

No doubt for the Seahawks this will be a playoff game atmosphere. I think it’s a good test to determine how the Rams can handle the pressure on a nationally televised game.
Seattle is also on a short week and they were not impressive last week against the Colts. Bring the heat, limit YAC and create a few turnovers.
My concern is our poor secondary play… a huge concern. We have to set the tone early by getting ahead and making Darnold beat us.

Really a very flawed team in key important areas and now owner of an epic collapse equal to any in Ram history. WC route is not a very promising road to take to the SB and this FO must learn to value athletic, aggressive D talent if they wish to win another SB.

I was going to create a post you beat me to it. McVay needs to stop playing so conservative. He should not rely on Corum in the 4th quarter as much when in a tight game. Davante can't be your #1 option period too many drops in clutch time. He needs more protection 6/7 on longer developing plays forget 5 wide our OL is not good enough especially Havenstein.

FYI if you think we will get 4 picks in the next time we play them your delusional that means we need to focus on running our offense and not letting Seattle, TB, Detroit dictate the game.

What's delusional is fans thinking their team can win by 3 scores every freaking game. Its the NFL. That doesn't happen.

And on another high note. Atlanta lost again!

IMO NFL is king in America you don't need to grow the game globally. how much more money do you want to make?

    Capitalism = greed.

Socialism or communism = poverty for all.
Anything the government “gives” you will be used to control you. Grow dependent on the government and you automatically become a slave and lose your personal freedom.
The only solution is personal liberty and a strong moral code that understands, respects, and honors the responsibilities that this freedom demands.

Seahawks knew the weak point to attack on the ST unit of the Rams. I think this guy got fired now because it was evident that he had no ability to make adjustments. I know we question McVay at times with his playing calling but………

Rewatching the first half of last night and the technicality of some of his play are just in a league of their own. Example………

Parkinson screen on 3rd TD. He is sent in motion and has a first priority of making a block on outside rusher which he does. Not a chip but actual block then releases. While this is going on 2 OL are getting in position to block for screen, McClendon n Avila, with Avila coming from other side of LOS. And he still has a WR down field on screen side to block as well as keep DB honest. Parkinson releases after block and a big gain with screen pass……..

Tonight Carolina runs a WR screen with one WR only down field to block. No OL in sight. Play goes no where……

Parkinson TD same drive. Nacua drives off 2 DB’s on him a Parkinson’s side n leaves Parkinson’s with a LB which leaves him wide open……..

Execution may not always be there but the design of these plays well it’s continues to be impressive…..

TE rooms had lot of snap count....Allen had 51%, Parky 47%; Higs 37%; Ferg 49%

Crazy game for those guys. Lot of 12 and even 13 personnel. Good little blurb on Ramswire about it. Not the same old McVay in week 7.

Well said 71..Some of you "Fans" need to calm down..McVay had the Rams running 13 personnel at almost 40% of the time so our TE position was heavily involved in the game against the Jags. McVay is McVay and if you don't know by now what that means then you haven't been following the Rams..he doesn't just play a rookie because its a shiny new toy..they have to first and foremost earn McVay’s trust..and if you are on the Offensive side that means you'll need to block!..and not pick up those rookie penalties..That's why he continues to trust and play Higbee..he rarely gets the drive killing penalties and he's still is a good blocker and can move the chains!..It gets tiring on here..from a group always hearing McVay is terrible, he's stupid, he sucks and needs to go.

Once labeled a draft bust after a tumultuous stint with the Washington Commanders, Forbes is now turning heads in Los Angeles, showing flashes of the elite potential that made him a first-round pick in 2023. Forbes’ journey from adversity to opportunity is becoming one of the league’s most compelling stories. He entered the league at 6 feet and ¾ inches, 166 pounds, making him the lightest cornerback drafted since 1999 (at least). He’s now listed at 180 pounds, having gained significant muscle mass since the Rams’ season ended. He credits the Rams’ staff for helping him bulk up to a size he’s more comfortable playing at and restoring some of his confidence.

  • November 28th, 2025, 1:03 pm Re: Karty Cut November 28th, 2025, 1:03 pm Re: Karty Cut

    Per ProFootball.com

The Rams benched kicker Joshua Karty after he missed an extra point and a 39-yard field goal in a 34-10 win over the Saints on Nov. 2. Karty, though, had remained on the roster until Friday.

The Rams cut Karty, with Harrison Mevis having won the job.

Karty was only 10-of-15 on his field-goal attempts and missed three extra points.

Mevis is 2-for-2 on his field goal tries and 13-for-13 on field goals.

Karty’s release will make room for the return of Ahkello Witherspoon and Tutu Atwell after the Rams also placed cornerback Roger McCreary on injured reserve this week.

The Rams made Karty a sixth-round pick in 2024.

Absolutely no surprise. No way you keep two kickers on active roster when there are needs at other positions. It will be interesting if Karty languishes in limbo land or gets picked up. Lot if movement in NFL with kickers.

He won't be back..some team is always looking for the next better option at place kicking. He was done in by a piss poor Long Snapper and then he lost his confidence and turned into head case. I hope he clears and we throw him on the PS..he has talent and a strong leg. But sometimes its between the ears that is the hardest to fix.
